Friday Yarns...I mean Yawns....zzzzzzzz!

Hello everyone,

It`s another beautiful Summer`s day here...again.  I can`t believe we`ve had two days of sun in a row, not that I`m complaining, bring it on, that`s what I say...lol!

The last two days have been quite eventful, firstly:

The rat has returned, or most likely hasn`t even left. He has to die but I`ve hunted high and low for a trap but all I can find is poison. Now I have a dilemma..............do I search for a trap or put poison down ?  I think I`ll keep looking and hope I find one soon.

secondly:

Roman saw the dermotologist who was very pleased with him.  He told Kerry that she`d done a good job with the various creams and to keep up the good work. He doesn`t need to use the steroid creams again unless his skin flares up again but he still needs the moisturiser and bath oil.

thirdly:

Roman has another tooth, his third.  He also has quite a heavy cold.  More of that in a minute.

Little Man playing on the lawn yesterday. (note his red cheeks)

Jake just about to get a sore nose!

A happy baby with his dog and Grandad.

Like I was saying, Roman was so happy yesterday.  Kerry`s shift started early so he came over at 3.30pm. We sat outside on a blanket on the lawn and played happily, he even had his tea out there.  Later when it was time for bed the `fun` really started, I could tell there was something different about him before I took him upstairs but I didn`t bargain for what was to come.  Bedtime is always 6pm as he`s always really tired by then yesterday being no exception, he could barely keep his eyes open. I put him in his cot as usual, kissed him `night night` and left the room.  And then he screamed, and screamed....and screamed.  I knew he wasn`t going to settle so I took him back downstairs, it was obvious by then his teeth were driving him mad so I gave him some Calpol, left it for 30 mins and then tried again, and again, and again until finally he cried himself to sleep two hous after he should have been in bed.  Then at 10, two minutes after Kerry had walked in the door he started again and eventually went back to sleep at midnight.  And wouldn`t you know, he was awake this morning at 6 cooing and singing his little head off,  having completely forgotten the night before, all he wanted to do was play.  I`d forgotten the `joys` of sleepless nights..........zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Today I went out with Kerry while Jim and his mate G laid the laminate flooring and what a great job they did too. It really does make all the difference, not long now til I can take the long awaited hall photos.  It has to be completely finished first, though I do worry that you`ll take one look and wonder what I`ve been making such a fuss about...lol!

That`s it for now.  I`m going to prepare something for tea.  I`ve thawed out some chicken but I`ve not decided what to do with it yet.  Something that`ll taste nice with baby Jersey spuds anyway.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend and that the weather will be kind to you.  Bye for now and take care. :o)

Cute graphics. Those are really good pictures. I see Jim is having fun with his two best playmates. I would not recommend poison for the rat as it might die outside and Jake might get it unless it is not a second generation kill. So glad Roman is feeling better today. Looking forward to seeing the hall photos. Have a great weekend. Helen

I like the pics of Roman but my fav is the one with granda and Jake.  re Ratty...have you been in touch with your local Env Health?  Still I suppose all they would do would be to put down poison. Hope Roman s tooth comes through and hope Ratty clears off!!  Eve

Lovely pictures Sandra...and what lovely weather at the moment.
Poor Roman with his teething, but good news about his skin.
Is that a Pooh Bear I see?
I have several, but had a similar size given me last weekend.
We visited an Animal Sanctuary, bought several items, and when it came to pay the Lady said I could have Pooh for free...so another one to my collection!

Poor Roman, sometimes they do seem to get colds when their teeth come through. Glad his skin is getting better. Can't wait to see the photos of the hall, I like laminate floor, so much easier to clean! Jeannette xx

That is wonderful that Roman's skin has cleared up.   The photos of him look like he is healthy and happy.    What could be better and he slept thru the night.    I hope you can find a rat trap as poison may be a hazard for anything that finds the rat and eats it.   I have seen big mouse trap's for rats.    The new linoleum must be nice to have finished.   mark

Oh, I love the pictures of Roman.  If I were around that baby I would be kissing those cheeks and get nothing else done!  He is really adorable.  My grandson is 18 months and getting his big back teeth.  He is a monster when teething.  CRANKY and nothing makes him happy.  Poor guy.  He only has one or two more to go, thank God!  Enjoy your weekend, too and I look forward to seeing your new flooring.  You'll love how easy it is to care for!                                 Kathy (Yada Yada Yada)
