The Hall Photos and Lunch with the Birthday Boy

 

Hello everyone,

I`d like to start by wishing my darling son Daniel a very Happy Birthday.  He`s the younger of my two kids by three years and today he`s reached the grand old age of 29!

He came round to see me this morning with his girlfriend Salina (pictured).  Sal brought me a huge piece of passion fruit and carrot cake from Starbucks.  Also Dan cut me and Jim a slice each of his chocolate birthday cake which I put in the fridge to eat later, along with the passion and carrot cake.  They stayed about an hour before heading off to see Kerry and Roman, just two minutes after they`d gone there was a tap on the back door and there was Dan, telling me to get ready as they were taking me out for lunch...and no excuses.  What could I do but comply....?  They took me to this lovely Italian restaurant called Francesco`s, where the food was wonderful.  I had a jacket potato with spiced chicken, bacon and mozzerella cheese.....it was divine!  How lovely to be treated like that when it wasn`t even my special day.  Bless him, he`s a real sweetheart at times.  When we eventually got home Jim had been home from work for over an hour.  He jokingly said how dare I go out to lunch without him, though later he told me that Daniel had told him the previous evening of his intentions.  All in all I`ve had a fantastic day, it just couldn`t be better apart from the fact that Kerry is still feeling really poorly.  Luckily for her she has the next two days off work to recuperate.

                       

Another nice thing that happened today was that Roman has taken his first steps, NOT unaided I hasten to add, but with Kerry holding his hands.  I`m sure now that he knows what his feet are for he`ll be using them more than ever!  I took some photos of him with Jim and sent them to Slava who is missing his little family very much.  I know he can`t wait to see them when they fly to St.Petersburg on June 6th. 

                       

I haven`t yet rang the school about those girls as I`ve had much better things to do today but I certainly will tomorrow.  The headmaster of that school taught both Kerry and Dan and he`s an extremely nice man and I know he doesn`t tolerate that kind of behaviour.  I`m sure he`ll announce what happened in assembly so the girls responsible will know that they`ve been reported, I just hope they`ll think again before acting like idiots, I doubt it but I can live in hope.
