WHERE`S THE RAIN THEN.....?

Hello everyone.....

D`you like my new graphic?  I love the expression on Jake`s face so I thought I`d edit the photo.  At the moment I`m eating some salted cashew and macadamia nuts....they are so tasty.  The only thing with them is I could sit and eat them all day!

The rain that I was so overjoyed over has disappeared and we are back to being very dry, but cooler.  The wind is quite strong and hopefully more clouds will form and bring us enough rain to really give the ground a soaking.  Even the weeds are dying in my garden!

I am getting rid of my weatherpixie as she hasn`t changed from the time I placed her in my "All about me" section.  She is supposed to change as the day goes on but I`ve lost patience with her now,,,,,maybe she just prefers the hot, sunny weather.

This morning Kerry came for a walk with me and Jake when went to the local Post Office.  It`s a nice walk for her and gives her that bit of gentle exercise without overdoing it.  I had a parcel to post for Jim, who has just sold another item through eBay.  He sells quite a bit of stuff, not enough to for him to get rich but he makes a profit.  The Post Office is a tiny country house and has a stable type door.  There were only three people in front of us, but we had to wait outside as the place was full.

This afternoon I went to Kerry`s for a few hours.  We just sat around sorting out baby clothes.  We found that she has 19 sleep suits ranging from birth to 9 mths.  15 pairs of trousers and dungarees, again up to 9 mths. A dozen short sleeve T-shirts and 10 long sleeve.  There is just so much stuff.  As Kerry say, the baby has a far better wardrobe than her or Slava!  All that is needed is the baby to put in them!

I`ve been spending quite a bit of time with graphics again.  I`ve been using Microsoft Picture it! Photo 7 and Paint Shop Pro 7.  I`m quite pleased with the progress I`m making but I have a lot to learn with PSP. I`m just using the tags I`ve collected from the Tag Lounge at the moment but I might try to make my own.  I`m going to download some tutorials to help me along.  It`s very time consuming and I have my journals to read.  I need more hours in the day....lol.

I`m going to put something in the oven for dinner....pizza probably, domething quick and easy.  Bye now and have a lovely day.

BLONDE ON BLONDES

A blonde girl enters a store that sells curtains.  She tells the salesman:  "I would like to buy a pink curtain the size of my computer screen".

The surprised salesman replies:  "But madam, computers don`t have curtains..."

And the blonde said:  "Helloooo......  I`ve got Windows!!!!!!

A woman sees a lawyer about a divorce.

He asks, Any grounds?

Woman:  yeah, about two acres.

Lawyer:  Do you have a grudge?

Woman:  No, we have a car port.

Lawyer:  Does your husband beat you up in the morning?

Woman:  No, I get up before him.

Agitated lawyer:  Well, so you or don`t you want a divorce?

We never even had the rain you got yesterday!  Great piccie of Jake.  As for Paint Shop, I do have it but it is complicated and lots to learn and I just do not have the time. What with looking after Nathan, still working at the family tree plus all the alerts and emails I get, I just cannot spend more time on the computer.  To be honest, I think I am getting to old for learning that sort of stuff but good luck.  Yep, sounds about right, all the baby stuff.  Trouble is they do not get to be in it long so Becky made sure that Nathan wore something different every day so he could get to wear everything at least once.  I am keeping the weather pixie for the time being. She does give a rough idea and I think she is quite sweet. She will stay until something different comes along.

You haven't put the right coding in for the weather pixie Sandra. You've put an image in.
You need to go back to the site - get the html code and put in the About Me section

Not a hint of rain here - and all the grass is turning yellow again, just like some of the droughts we had last century. What a delightful picture of Jake! Wonderful face. Well done to Jim for making a profit on e-Bay. I admire him for doing what he does there.

Hello friend. I love the graphic of your dog. I recently lost my dog. Her name was Baby. She was 22 years old. We had her since she was a puppy. Such a special girl. I have the weather Pixie in my About Me thingy too. I was wanting to also put a tiny flag or ribbon in there as well. Not just to support the U.S. troops but all those fighting for freedom. I don't know how to add it without having to start everything all over again. I have soooo much to learn, LOL!

Jake and my dog Salty look identical, with just different coats.  Same eyes, same facial expression, and Salty has a some red in his nose.  Best Wishes for Kerry and her husband!  PSP 7 is something that I have used for years.  I have found the easiest ways to use it.  I have not spent much time with layers, so if you find something out about them, please share the info.  I can give some shortcuts to do things people might enjoy learning about.   Good jokes!  ~mark~

Sounds like you had a good day..........Hubby usually has to go to the post office every day for ebay sales.  THey all know him now!  Good job with the graphics.  I just love PSP and have collected lots of tubes, templates, and accents from the tag lounge.  Have ordered PSP from ebay and hopefully soon I'll be back in business with the new PC, PSP7, and I'll have to reload my Kodak easyshare program.  I feel so displaced on Hubby's computer.

heheee, love Jake! Did you put the right HTML code in? My weather pixie does change. Just copy and paste the html code into your image thingy or the other thingy (technical terms there!) it was a bit awkward for me, it kept pasting itself twice!

Great pic of Jake :-)  Glad Kerry's still doing well!!  Just a quick question, when Jim sells through Ebay, does he just send it on via recorded delivery or what?  Thought I'd ask someone who would be able to advise me, thank you :-)
