Hello everyone....... It`s raining at last! Lots and lots of nice heavy rain. This is one evening where I won`t be lugging heavy watering cans round the garden, or dragging a leaky hosepipe that drips as much water over me as the flowers.
Well, Kerry went for her last minute scan and yes, the baby is still breech, laying sideways in fact, and with very little room to move. The doctor advised against moving him at this late stage as there is only a 5 per cent success rate, and after explaining all the things that can go wrong with the manuoevre, Kerry and Slava decided against it too. So Kerry has been booked in for a ceasarean for sometime next week. They will let her know 48hrs before she goes in. It`s all about waiting now but it will definitely be before her due date of July 31st. She is not upset about the op. just apprehensive but our hospital has a specialist Obstetric unit, so she will be in excellent hands.
Jim gave blood today for the twenty-second time. He thinks it`s very important to give blood and donates whenever they call him. Jim asked me to post a link to the Blood Donation Service as it is a worthy cause. I am happy to do so because I can`t donate because of my medication, but any of you out there who can, give it a go!
I took my car for it`s MOT test this morning and I`m happy to say it passed, which is good as my road tax is due at the end of the month.....more expense! Jake decided last night to restart his career in landscape gardening. First off, he chewed the rose off of the watering can, then he started on the various shrubs, breaking just a twig here and there, but then he disgraced himself. My beloved cherry tree sapling that I have nurtured since the Spring, protected with a wire Jake-proof surround that was steaked to the ground with metal pegs, is now stripped of it`s bark at the base by a persistant Jake, who had managed to remove the surround complete with metal pegs. So, does anyone want a loveable black labdrador with a penchant for gardening ....lol ?! It`s hard to stay angry with him for long though, those big brown eyes and soppy expression just make me melt inside!
Jim has just returned home soaking wet with Jake wetter still . Don`t you just love the rain? Have a lovely evening everyone, and take care.
BLONDE ON BLONDES
~~ How do you get a one-armed blonde out of a tree? ~~
Wave to her
~~ How do you get a blondes eyes to twinkle? ~~
Shine a torch in her ears
~~ What did the blonde write in the bottom of her swimming pool? ~~

So happy you got the heavy rain you wanted...now send some our way... a little shower here and there does not work here.
I know Kerry will be in good hands...sounds like they are staying on top of everything with her. I am sooooooooo excited about next week...I know you are too.
Jake is something else on giving your garden the new landscape job. He is a busy boy for sure!!! Jim and you both are so right about Blood Donation...great job!!!!
Take care and have a great week.

Well, I would love the rain if we had some. Not a sign of anything yet, in fact the sky is now bright after being cloudy. Poor old Mike has to go around with the hose yet again. I did see the weather forecast and they did say that any rain would have almost petered out by the time it got to our little corner. Obviously I cannot give blood, would if I could. Well, you are gonna be a granma next week, wonderful and at least Kerry is in good hands. I wish Becky did not have to wait so long, maybe God will have other plans and maybe this one will come early. Thanks for you know what dear friend xxxxxxx
Well good for you that the rain has come. Good luck to Kerry & her babe on the upcoming surgery. Poor Jake for being in the dog house momentarily. Love the graphics and the blond jokes are funny. Helen
And there was me thinking you were describing Sam with the gardening, he took great joy in dugging up the garden last night for, of all things, a worm!!!!
Glad you are enjoying your rain!!
Hope all goes well for Kerry........
Stop pinching my rain storms and holding tight to them. We are parched up here in North Bucks. Keep smiling.
Take care my friend.

Oh, well I will be anxious to see those pics you will soon be sharing of the little one. These last weeks are always difficult with a pregnancy. Waiting, hoping, worrying. It seems to be commonplace with every pregnancy. This time next week, she could be holding little one! What is the name going to be?
So....give them hugs from J land!
As for Jake....Labs seem to do this don't they, get in trouble, but win your heart back! LOL.
I am sure Kerry will be fine!Just get to walking as soon after as she can! It really helps! Best wishes to everyone for a healthy mom and baby!!!!!

Next week?!!! How exciting :o) :o)
Kerry must be so looking forward to meeting her little one, and of course, not being heavily pregnant in this hot weather anymore!!
It's nice to have some rain isn't it. I was sure yesterday evening that it was raining lightly in my neighbours garden, though not in mine. Think my eyes were just funny after too much computer time!!!

I've always thought about giving blood - I shall click on the link and have a look - thanks Jim :-) Hope Kerry's ok!! i reckon Jake sees you love your flowers so maybe he's jealous and destroying the garden is a way around it??!! Just a thought *shrugs shoulders*
