IT`S ONLY ME!

 Hello everyone.....   I`m back.

I`m not feeling at my best but never mind, I`ve had a couple of days off from here and now I must think of something to say.

We had Marshall, the german shepherd over for Thursday night to see how he got on with Jake in our house.   They got on really well once Jake laid down a few ground rules.  Marshall is only eight months old and Jake doesn`t quite have his `get up and go`.  Well he does,  he may only be two himself but he prefers to draw breath occasionally before doing another couple of laps of the garden!  Tonight Marshall is back for a week while his owners have a weeks holiday.

Since Thursday I haven`t felt very well, very nauseaus with a headache and sore throat.  It`s just viral but not very nice, I think I need a bit extra sleep at the moment.

On Friday we went out for the family meal in the afternoon.  despite feeling unwell I decided to go and hope for the best.  I`m am so glad that I did too. There were sixteen of us altogether and we had a lovely afternoon by the river at Strand-on-the-Green, West London.  It is like a little village there, with little cottages that were built 300 years ago.  You would never know that you were in the middle of London, it`s just so pretty.  Kerry came with us and really enjoyed herself and like us, and thought how nice it was to sit there with good food and watch the river go by.

Kerry now knows the date she will have the ceasarean, but I`m not telling you until the baby is safely here.  I also can tell you that one of you guessed correctly the date of the birth.  I`ll keep that quiet till later too!

Yesterday my son Danny came to see us.  He and I have had some issues in the past few weeks but things seem better between us for now.  I worry so much about him as he has always been a bit depressive and I know things aren`t good in his private life.  I would like to explain things a bit more, but all I will say is that he is in a bad relationship, and that I wish he could find happiness elsewhere.  I always try to stay out of his private life as it isn`t my business anyway, but sometimes it`s really hard.  Whoever said parenting gets easier as children grow up?!

Today the much needed rain fell steadily, and though it`s dry at the moment I`m hoping for lots more to come, though Jim wanted to finish off the patio today, he`ll have to wait till tomorrow.   I now have the bistro table and chairs for the patio, I`ll take a photo when it`s put together and outside.  We looked all over for one and they are all about the same price.  This one looks the best of all of them and it`s weatherproof, though I`ll still cover it in winter.   I can`t wait to have my breakfast on the patio...sounds posh eh?

Thanks again to everyone who has sent their dog photos to me.  I`m still waiting on some and I doubt I`m be able to do anything with them until after my holiday.  They are all edited and filed away ready for me to use them so don`t think I`ve forgotten.  I know there is something else I wanted to say but again it escapes me....my memory is getting terrible.  Either it`s my age or because there is so much going on in my head....ot both!  Well all of you have a lovely day and take care of yourselves.  I leave you with some funnies.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

Noo, these windows are ok to lean on.

Don`t worry it has airbags.

Hey, what`s that buzzing noise?

Don`t worry, it`s not that deep.

Hey look, there`s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Don`t touch that red button.

So, you`re a cannibal.

Are you sure the power is off?

Glad you are up and about again, Sandra.  Welcome back, but don't over do it.  Rest is still in order so you don't have a relapse.  Round two on those viral things can really get sticky.  Your luncheon by the river sounded nice.

The Strand on the Green sounds like a really great place to visit and photograph.  My Father's side of the family's original cottage still exists.  It is called the Sunshine Cottage.  It is located at Stembridge in the Parish of Kingsbury Episcopi in the county of Somerset. This is where my great Grandfather was born.  He was a Royal Mariner.  He did not write at the time that he signed up, and signed with an X.  His name was spelled Trebley, where as his son's and my father's are spelled Tribley.  Best Wishes to Kerry and you Sandra and your family.  I am not feeling too well today, as it is very hot and I am indoors in AC.   mark

Hope you soon get to feeling a lot better. The family get together sounds lovely. Sure hope Kerry does ok. No, you never quit worrying about your children it doesn't matter what their age. Those two dogs will keep you on your toes next week so it will be good if you are feeling better. Your graphics are cute. Helen

You must make sure you look after yourself - get enough sleep and so on. Can't have you falling by the wayside like this. Do hope you feel better very soon. That family meal sounds wonderful - sixteen of you too! And the place you met in London sounds truly idyllic. Take care of yourself now.

I am sorry you are not feeling well, hope that changes soon.  Sounded like the gathering by the river was nice with family.  I can only imagine how pretty it was from your description.  Also hope things get better for Danny.  Your right about one thing, it is harder when they get older.  You take care and get better...you have a grandbaby coming soon!!!!
