Done............................................. and still to do!
Hello everyone,
Welcome to Tuesday`s edition of my scribbles. As you can see I`ve posted the sneaky pics of the patio. They are the best I could do under the circumstances. When it`s all completed and furnished I will post more. I must be careful because Jim is always reading these entries as he particularly like the comments left. I had my hair done this morning and as usual I`m very pleased with the result. I love going there from a social point of view because I always have a good laugh with the stylists there. I`ve been going there for 15 yrs and know them all well, I don`t know what I`d do if they sold up because they don`t charge as much as high street prices and they are so good. People travel for miles to get their hair done, they even have a client who lives abroad! After the hairdressers I had to collect a prescription from the local pharmacy. I asked the humourless sales assistant if it was ready yet and she just said "Name?" I told her and she walked away, she came back and said "Address?" I told her and she handed over the prescription as if she didn`t think I should have it. I then gave the woman my most dazzling smile and sweetly said thank you, adding " Have a lovely day!" and turned on my heel not darling to look back in case I burst out laughing at the most sullen face that I`ve seen for a long time. I`m sure it upset her to be spoken to in such a cheerful manner!
By the time I got home it was midday and I put Jim`s lunch on. Last night I made chicken korma with my own recipe rice. I put some in the fridge for him for today, and cooked some fresh rice for him this morning. I have to say he thought it was delicious and asked if I`d make it again....a compliment indeed!
I had my own lunch and then sat outside on the sunbed. I saw a family of rooks on the roof of the house opposite and hurried inside to get my camera, but when I got back they`d gone, a missed oppurtunity. Just before I go, I must tell you that Jim collected our holiday tickets today, with just a month to go now, I`m getting excited!
Well I`m off now to read all the journals. I have loads of alerts so I`d better get on with it. Take care and have a lovely day all of you.

Jim has done a beautiful job on that patio Sandra, I take my hat off to him. You will be like the Queen sat up there! Yes, I have come across assistants like that, don't you just want to say something to them! I shall certainly miss you when you are away, do not forget whatever you do to turn off your alerts before you go otherwise you will have thousands and thousands!

The patio looks great - Jim is a star isn't he?? :-) Mmmmm, your chicken korma sounds nice, can I come round and try it? Fancy the hairdressers having a customer abroad. I'm impressed they must be good :-)
Loved you grandma hello. The patio looks really good. No wonder you said Jim was a perfectionist. It looks as if a professional did it. Wish I could have seen the look on that assistants face when you flashed her that big smile. Sounds like something I have know my own daughter to do. Bet your hair looks great as usual.
Have a good night. Helen
Gosh - that patio looks brilliant! I love the coping stones. They look very professional, and set the whole thing off well. I reckon your Jim's doing a really fine job there. Thanks for your comment in my journal, by the way - I was fascinated to hear of your Catholic friend from the Crumlin Road in Belfast. Sadly, her story is a very familiar one. Being a Catholic on the Crumlin could mean she lived in Ardoyne - one of the worst IRA dominated parts of Belfast in those days!
David.
Congrats on having a good "hair day" and for being so nice to those who are grumpy.
Now what on earth is a rook? I thought it was a card game?

Oh, big faux pax here (spelling of faux pax?) I must say that since Jim reads comments....
"Jim, a lovely job so far on the patio! Send your talents this way! I'd love one just like it. It's ok to email my Hubby instructions....COMPLETE instructions that is....LOL!"
Hello again.....Your journal is always a pleasure to read. You are a cheerful soul. You make me laugh as you end your entries. I love to come and read your journal. I find that your journal should be read by everyone. I could read your journal time and time again. I am - VERTICALLY CHALLENGED - short.
Every day from now on i am going to say hello to Jim since he reads this. So, hi Jim!! Maybe he needs his own journal. I bet your hair looks beautful, just like you. I wish i had a hair dresser like yours.
Love, lisa jo
Patio is looking great. Well done Jim and hello.
I love making a point of being cheerful infront of miserable people who obviously are so happy in their job!!
