TUESDAY TRIVIA

Hello... I started my entry this morning, but I had to go out so didn`t finish it.  I did try early morning first of all but the journals were down.  In the meantime I thought I`d mess around with Photomix and what better subject than the handsome Jake.  I must get out there and find another subject to point my camera at!

This afternoon we had an unproductive shopping trip to Uxbridge to buy my birthday present. Jim`s buying me a watch but the problem is that I have very small wrists and always have to have several links removed from the strap. Like today for instance, after finding a watch that I really liked I tried it on and had to have three links out this time. Consequently ity took a long time and Jim paid for the watch while we waited.  It turned out that three was too much so they put one back in..... problem...... now it was too big and the watch would be no good to me, so Jim had to go through the process of getting his money back and I still have no birthday present :-(  We didn`t have time for anymore shopping around as the carpark ticket was due to run out.  Jim is going back to work tomorrow so I`ll go into town later in the week and see if I can find anything there.  I did get my present from Danny last night, he got me Katie Melua`s CD  `Call off the Search`.  I`ve wanted it for ages and it`s really good.  Thanks Dan!

We bought some teak oil for our wooden garden furniture.  I suppose we will have to get busy with that in the next few days.  Jim read the instructions on the bottle and apparently if you don`t wash the cloths that you use to apply the oil at once they may spontaneously combust...... scary!  but a hell of a party trick....... don`t try this at home folks.....lol...!

I started my new book `The Family Way` and it`s a really good story, one of those where you get into it straight away and you don`t want to put it down.  I can`t wait to get my hands on it tonight.  I always read in bed so that if I fall asleep I`m in the right place  lol :-)  I`m going to try ` The DaVinci Code` next to see what all the fuss is about.  I`m definetely getting back into book reading, I`ve been more into magazine reading and crosswords of late.  I don`t read womens magazines but I have a dog mag.that I subscribe to and the odd computer mag ,so books it will be for the forseeable future. I don`t have time for both.  That`s it for today, I`ll sign off now and have something to eat.
