Hello everyone,
What a quiet day it is today. Is there anyone out there in J-land? I`ll take it that some of are still around and post as usual! The weather started off well today, sunny with a coolish breeze, which I didn`t mind because I had a lot of washing to get dry. The sun didn`t last though and it started to rain this afternoon. The washing was dry, thankfully, and the rain didn`t last long but it`s became quite cool and the sun has long gone. When I took Jake for a short walk this afternoon I thought it would pour down but it didn`t and we got home nice and dry.
Danny and his girlfriend came round to see me and brought Jim`s birthday present for tomorrow. They got him a nice polo shirt which I know he will like. They stayed for about an hour and he was telling me about his job interviews, so far , two are very promising. The one he`s most keen on is not the very best paid, but a lot more money than he is getting at present. The all round package is excellent with a good pension plan and health care etc. They are a very big company and he will have to wear a suit for work, which will be a first for him, he is more used to being in casual clothes! He has two more interviews tomorrow and another on Tuesday so fingers crossed he will get one of them. Slava has already got a job and he is delighted as is Kerry. It has awkward shifts but he realises that as he doesn`t have Danny`s experience he had to lower his sights for the time being. In another year he will be able to move on to another company carrying his aquired knowledge with him, such is the nature of the business they are in.
Would you believe it ! The sun has come out again.... after all I said too. Anyway that`s it for today. I`ll leave you with some trivia on geography. Have a great Sunday. :-)

Great news for Danny - he's bound to get one of those jobs *fingers crossed for him* even better news for Slava - it's not what he wanted but like you said he'll be able to move on to something bigger and better eventually :-)
Yes - I did a mass of washing today as well, and it was actually a good drying day here too! Those job prospects sound excellent - all the best of luck to them!
David.
Am late reading, so it's Monday, and time for a big Happy Birthday to Jim!!!!! :o)
Hope you're all having a lovely day.
Best of luck to Danny for those jobs, though I don't envy him having to wear a suit to work, if he gets that one ;o) And Slava finding a job already is great news, must be a huge relief to him and Kerry.
No sun here today, dull and rainy, booo!

And I was planning to go to Peru this Summer!

Love your trivia. It sems weird to think America and Russia's boundaries are so close.

Hi Sandra,
I am reading this on Tuesday..sorry! My Mom use to hang her laundry out in the sun to dry and I LOVED that smell, so fresh and crisp. I never see that anymore in the states...not in the cities anyway.
Off to read more....
Love and Hugs,
Sharon
