YESTERDAY and TODAY

Hello everyone,

I thought I was going to miss out on posting an entry today.  As Jim has been off  work this week we have been out and about all over the place so I haven`t had time to write anything.  I wanted to keep up with READING the journals because I find that if I don`t read them I can`t catch up with all the entries and I want to know how people are all getting on!

This photo of Jake shows him with his posh new collar, and as he is feeling better after his sore tail problems he was happy to pose for this picture !  Yesterday was hectic all day, not that I did very much at all really.  We took Jake out in the morning as usual followed by a spot of lunch at the garden centre cafe.  After we got home Jim cleared off with Steve and went fishing.  Then I thought I was free to go online when there was a knock at the door.  It was Kerry come to see her dear old mum and pass on the latest gossip.  She stayed for a couple of hours and as she was leaving my friend B, Steve`s girlfriend, turned up.  She stayed for an hour and while we were chatting she asked if Jim and I would like to go out for dinner with them at 7.30pm.  Of course we accepted, and we had a great old time too, a real laugh.   We went to a restaurant called The Red Lion, and while looking at the menu B mentioned that the duck looked nice.  Well of course that was it, every time anyone mentioned duck, we all did just that, ducked...!  We all got really odd looks in the restaurant but we all just had great fun and enjoyed the evening immensely.  Maybe it did help that we I had a couple of drinks but I slept really well last night...hehehe!

I`ve been having trouble with my arm again too.  Before I had the op. I had a half-numb hand and no pain, now, after the op. I have a quarter-numb hand and a lot of pain.  So I`ll give it a month and if it`s no better by then I have a word with my GP on my next visit.  But I not hopeful of an improvement and I`m rather fed-iup with the whole situation.  :-(

Today we travelled around B&Q and Homebase.  Jim wants a hardwood garden table and chairs set but what an awful day to go looking. We`ve had awful, cold wet weather today. It was more like January.  This evening we even had snow..... what`s going on?  I think the weather is very confused  lol !  This afternoon it was off to visit Jim`s mum in the nursing home. That`s never easy, the dementia makes her so unlike her former self, and it`s so hard to see Jim look so sad while he sits there holding her hand.  It`s a terrible illness.  We went on to his sister`s house and had a much needed cup of tea and a chat and then home at last for a quiet night.  Mind you it`s early yet and with our luck somebody might still turn up at the door!

Have a great weekend Everyone and lets hope the weather gets better for us all too enjoy!  Bye for now.

Love Jake's collar. :)
Hard to believe it snowed there...here in the Midwest states it is beautiful. Temeratures in the 70's and so sunny. I just got back from taking Precious to the park...we stopped at a burger place and she had a "small" burger as a treat! Now she is exhuasted and sleeping.

Sorry to hear about your arm. Hopefully the pain will subside and everything will be alright. Keep us posted. :) Have a great weekend dear and I hope you get WARMER WEATHER soon.

Love and Hugs,
Sharon

You may need to take some anti-inflammatory for a while. Inflamation could be causing the problem right now.
The collar is purty!

Collar looks great :-)  LOL @ the ducking I can just imagine that!!  Sorry to hear about your arm - hope it feels better tomorrow.  It's good that you do visit Jims mum though even though it's tough.  Hope you have a good weekend too :-)

We had a heavy snow shower at 9am on Friday, followed by frequent snow/sleet showers all day. Where is spring? It's bitterly cold on top this hill, where I am situated, this morning (Saturday). Hope that arm gets better soon.

It's wonderful that you have so many good friends around - even if it means you sometimes don't have much time left for yourselves! But that evening at the restuarant sounded great fun. And as for Jake's new collar, well - he'll be the coolest dog in the park now, lol!
