WEDNESDAY WAFFLINGS

Hello everyone,  Apring has well and truly sprung here today. I do say today because the forecast is for rain tomorrow!  But for today it has been beautiful.  This morning I took the camera out with us on our walk and I got some great photos.  I snapped the trees with various coloured blossom and later Jake with a couple of off-duty guide dogs as they all played happily in the field nearby.  Later Jim and I went to the garden centre for lunch and the buying of plants.  We bought a deciduous Azalea with glorious orange coloured blooms for a dull corner of the garden, a clematis to train up the trunk of our newly delivered weeping cherry, some sweet peas and a couple of alpines to put in a pot that looks a little bare at the moment.  This afternoon we planted the lot and though I say it myself the garden looks rather nice, not as nice as it will be next year, but nice all the same.

We had the news yesterday that our front door has to be replaced.  The entire system has broken inside the door and it can`t be opened at all.  They`ve changed the locking system nowadays and if the locks `go` like ours has, all that needs changing is the barrel itself.  Of course it is going to cost a fortune, but we have to have a front door, so we are in the process of choosing a new one.   Well, that`s it for now, enjoy the rest of your day!

Sandra, i hope this doesnt seem like a dumb question but as long as i have been reading your lovely journal you havent mentioned where you live...where is that? I love your little trivia facts you put in.....very interesting! I bought a clematis once and killed it and it made me sad. I love plants and flowers and i kill them very easily!
Take care...lisa

You've certainly got some lovely things in your garden now - plenty to look forward to when they start to mature. A clematis climbing the weeping cherry trunk will make a brilliant contrast. Sorry to hear about the front door - those sort of things always cost an arm and a leg!

Sounds very expensive Sandra. "ouch"....The weather here in the states in silly as well, it went down to 39 degrees last night and just 2 days ago it was 80 degrees. Tonight it is suppose to go below 32 degree (frosting on everything.) Can't wait to see you pics, you do such a great job putting them all together. How is Jake?
Love and Hugs,
Have a great weekend....Sharon :)
