SATURDAY THINGS

Happy Saturday to you all.  Another cold and blustery day here.......brrrrr, I do hope it warms up soon, this weather is all mixed up.  I`ve been messing about with a program called Photomix. I wanted to know how do do things with my photos and I asked  Jeannette, who sent me the site and it`s really good fun.  I hope soon I can post some fun photo entries.  I was trying to learn how to make my own graphics but I think I`ll leave it too the experts.  I found it very difficult and time consumming just trying to learn.  I think I`ll stick to photographs in the future.  I took this one of my cream camelia.  The bush itself was getting rather tatty so I thought a close up was the way to go.

Good news, my son-in-law Slava has passed his British driving test.  He passed at home in Russia 8yrs ago but he`s not allowed to drive here on that licence for more than a year.  It should now help his chances in the job department.  My son Danny has had one job interview already that went very well, and he has another coming up soon.  He is very confident about his prospects as he knows his own worth.  I`m very proud of him as he sets about finding not just another job but a better one.  He has a very easy manner about him that employers like.  He very much takes after my dad who always said there is nothing wrong with knowing your own worth as long as you don`t brag about it.  I wish I had inherited that confidence but it has skipped a generation and the future is all about the young of today.

Hmm...... this is getting to deep for a weekend entry, I`ll be talking about the meaning of life next lol!  Did anyone watch the wedding today?  I watched a bit of the blessing to get a peek at the faces of the Queen and princes Willam and Harry.  To me the Queen looked as though she would rather be somewhere else, (probably watching the National!) William was looking down most of the time while Harry, like any teenager looked throughly bored and kept leaning on the pew in front.  I do like Harry because you never know what he will do next.  A bit of bad behaviour from him always makes headlines and usually makes me smile ( though I didn`t approve of his choice of fancy dress at THAT party!).  Let`s hope Charlie and Camilla are happy now, though I wonder if they will ever banish the ghost of the lovely Diana.  Have a good weekend all of you.  Bye for now.

ps: I had a bet on the Grand National ----  The horse came fifth!

Well, your camelia looks great. Never been lucky with them here, they do not seem to like the soil.  Good luck with the programme.  I would like to learn graphics as well but I would not have the time or the inclination, maybe years ago lol.
Yes, watched the wedding, liked Camilla's outfits. Liz legged it as fast as she could, probably wanted to put a late bet on or see whether her horse had come in!! Camilla looks scared most of the time, maybe she has just realised what she has taken on, after all it is not just HIM anymore, it is all of them!!! Thought the service was quite nice.  Whether Diana will haunt them, remains to be seen.  I mean look at William and you see Diana, look at Beatrice and Eugenie and you see Fergie so they can never really be free of the past.

Photomix is a great little programme, I seem to recall ages ago telling Jeanette about it! Any problems let me know.

I did watch the video on Aol of them arriving at the castle.. and when they walked down the aisle, it was bittersweet, as I adored Princess Diana. But how awesome it must have felt to finally wed the one you truly love.. just can't help but think if he would have just married her in the first place, how much time would have been saved, with less heartache. What a shame. How are the people of England taking it Sandra?? I heard both booing and cheering in the streets as the car went by. The news over here in the U.S. says everyone was cheering and clapping, but that's not what I heard. ???? Enjoy the day..

Congrate to Slava!!  Was it much different from the test he took in Russia?
I watched the first part of the wedding stuff, saw them come out of the registry office, but missed the rest.  I really do hope they have many happy years together :o)

Nice pic :-)  So you've given up on the graphics huh?  That's a shame!!  Congratulate Slava for me.  Good luck to your son too - sounds like a bright kid.  Can happily say I managed to avoid the wedding :-)

Oh, the warm weather can't be too far off.  Next thing we know, we'll all be complaining about how hot it is....well, where I am anyways.

Congrats to Slava.  Well done.  And best wishes to Danny in his employment pursuits.

As for Charles and Camilla, how truly blessed they are to finally be wed.  So much time has passed, but perhaps now their lives will really begin.  It was bittersweet, as I loved Diana too.  If Charles and Camilla's love can survive so much, then there is truly hope for this world.
