Oh Happy Day!

Hello the weather here is marvellous for the time of year and its great that the sun is shining in all its glory. I`ve been finding some great websites, courtesy of hubby Jim, who found some Dutch sites that are very impressive. They are so good at graphics , the Dutch dont you think ?  The sites I`ve founds are very good quality and imaginative and I dont mean the rude ones either...LOL.  So now that I`ve replenished my graphics that I lost when the PC crashed I can get back to writting this journal again.  I`m thinking about what else I can write apart from other peoples poetry and my rather dull musings of daily life.  I need a cheery theme, but I cant for the life of me think of one (see, told you I was boring and mundane)!  I mean to say, though today has been a good day for me.  I got up, went shopping, had my eyebrows threaded ....OUCH !!!....they still sting a bit ! and spent some money in Argos on bathroom accessories and bought some new cushions for my dining table chairs.  Its hardly exciting reading material is it.  I havent seen my kids for several days so nothing to write about there.  Jims been at work or working here in the house doing the bathroom tiles ( and what a great job hes done too).  I havent seen anyone, apart from going to work, unless you call having words with a call centre operator exciting, well, we certainly did have words I can tell you.  I ordered an outside tap jacket as insulation for the winter from The Shires catalogue last week and I do remeber that the girl I spoke to was rather on the dim side, especially when she asked what size jacket did I want !!!  Errrrm, 12-14 ?  Silly girl ! its a tap!  Anyway I duly gave the order then had a little chuckle after I had put the phone down.   Now I think she was getting her own back.  Yesterday I recieved a letter stating that I wouldnt get the said order because the credit card hadnt been authorised by the company........W H A D E R Y A M E A N !!!!!  So I rang them up and waited in the queue as all the operators were busy.  And I waited and waited and waited and waited......for twenty minutes I waited.  When I got through this woman, lets call her Old Bag for the sake of it, decided that I must be dodgy because my card wasnt accepted, she sounded very worried so I assured her that the card has no outstanding balance, has never been turned down before (all true) and she then says " Excuse me madam, but there is always a reason for this to happen "    " yes but......"  says I    " If you listen " says Old Bag " We have to start the order process again and see if maybe they will accept you again" says she, doubtfully.

Well we went on to exchange a few choice words and made up and then placed the order again though I still dont know if they will accept me.  I think the original girl must have put my details down wrongly, but they wouldnt say yea or nay because its all to do with the d**n Data Protection Act.  Anyway when I eventually get my Tap Jacket, (and very stylish it is too!)  I will look back on all this and laugh......ERM...maybe not !!!  Bye for now as I`m off to get ready for work.  have a great weekend all.

Well, glad you got it sorted. Wish you had let me know though. I waited most of the afternoon for an email from you so I could close the im to Stuart.  Never mind, just glad that you are u and running again and everything is back to its normal size lol
I have just had trouble with a firm as well. They took my money but never delivered the goods.  I asked them where they had gone only to be told "oh we lose stuff and get stuff stolen all the time". I told her that this was not a good advert for the firm not good customer relations to actually tell a customer something like that.  She apologised and said she can only do a re-order and I have to wait another three weeks. Anyway I wrote an email off to the company saying I was disappointed to say the least with their service and wondering how they could stay in business seeing as they were losing stuff or getting it stolen all the time.  I have not had a reply!!! Speaks for itself. Will I get my stuff?  Who knows.
I am running out of things to put on my journal as well. As you know I do not write about my day to day life and soon I shall run out of strange happenings, family stories and photos.  Oh dear.  Maybe I will get inspiration from somewhere. Have a great weekend although it will be very wet, cold and windy so they say.
