Hello everyone,
Welcome to a miserable day, weather wise and mood wise. It`s been raining on and off throughout the day and I`ve been feeling pretty fed up too. I did the Tesco shop this morning and had no enthusiasm for it whatsoever. I usually quite enjoy food shopping but not today, I felt tired and still rather cross with Kerry as there is still stuff that hasn`t been resolved between us. She knocked at the door this afternoon with something for Jim but she wouldn`t come in as she said Roman was asleep in the car. The atmosphere was very frosty I can tell you and she said she would see me tomorrow evening when she brought Roman over before work. Perhaps it`s good thing that we don`t see each other for a couple of days as I don`t want a row but I can see one brewing.
Right, enough of that, now on to something more cheerful. After work today Jim went to visit his Mum. She has been moved to a different unit in the care home and he told me that the staff there are so much friendlier and caring than the last place and he feels much better about her being there now. He then went to visit his sister who gave him his birthday cards for next Tuesday. When he finally got home he started the wallpapering again but on my advice gave up until tomorrow afternoon. He`s been up since 4.45am and is really tired and I think it can wait.
Thanks for the comments left about Jim`s carp, some of you asked whether we ate it or not. Right, for my friends in America we never eat any fish from lakes, rivers or canals, only trout, salmon or any other game fish. I suppose carp is edible but it has to be put back and is only caught for the sport. I`ll bet if we DID eat them they would keep us going for quite a while and there would be no end of fish recipes that I could try. Jim did tell me that carp are quite bright for fish and they are very wary of anything that resembles a hook and line. How COULD anyone know that...did they ask the fish??? Oh well, they do live to a ripe old age so there must be something in it!
When I was eating my lunch I decided to watch last night`s Desperate Housewives that I had video taped. When I rewound the tape it made a really strange noise and took ages to wind back. I think the head might be going on it but I think I`ll let Jim find out for himself, if it is that`ll be the third electrical appliance to bite the dust in the last fortnight...Oh dear.....
I think tomorrow I`m going to have a busy morning but at least it`ll be peaceful and I don`t have to get up as early as I have lately. Hopefully the weather will be much better so that I can hang out the basket full of wet washing that`s sitting in the kitchen. It`s times like this when I wish the tumble dryer was working, Oh well it should be by Wednesday and hopefully we`ll soon find someone to have alook at the dishwasher, mind you I seem to be coping well enough without it for the time being. Oh yes, that reminds me, while I was in Tesco I saw an offer for 50 Finish dishwasher tablets for half price. Guess who bought them having forgotten that the thing`s not working at the moment...lol!
Anyway, that`s it from me today. I hope you`re having a a lovely day wherever you are. Take care and Bye Bye for now. :o)

The last one has got some funny pieces in it,we still have laughs about...It starts roughly half way down the page...
Sorry that things are not quite right between you and Kerry. Looks as if you will have to tell her how you feel about helping you keep your place clean while she and Roman are there.
We can eat most of the fish from the waters here except they advise not to eat the big catfish. I wouldn't want to eat the carp either as they are both scavenger fish. Hope you night goes well. Helen
Sorry you're having a bad day. Put comfy clothes on, make a nice refreshing drink, and find a good movie to watch. That always makes me feel better!

Sandra hope you an Kerry don't come to words ~ I expect she is missing her little hubby over there in Russia ~ and perhaps feel a bit lost ~ you know they only take it out on the ones they love ~ because she knows you will forgive her unconditionally ~ glad Jim's mum is happier where she is ~ must make Jim feel better ~ Jim's Carp was a beauty but I knew he would return it to the water ~ that is what I would have done ~ Ally
But just think of all the electricity you're saving by not using a tumble dryer or a dishwasher! Clouds and silver linings? Here's hoping things cheer up soon.

Don't worry, Kerry will come 'round. I'm sure she's missing her hubby, it's stressful while they are away! Hope Friday is a much better day for you, full of sunshine!

Sorry that there is a frosty atmosphere between you and Kerry. I agree that she is probably missing Slava but that is no excuse for leaving you to do all the tidying up after them. She will come round, they can still sulk you know even when they are mother's themselves. I agree about the saving in electricity and also better for the environment. Yes, carp are intelligent. I know that from ours. It is amazing how they know Mike and myself and come to be feed but if a stranger approaches the pond they disappear like lightning.

It will all turn out well with Kerry im sure. . .I recognise the scene. . when Mums and daughters are as close as you two are there is bound to be a little friction sometimes. It will pass Im sure.Bet Kerry is missing her hubby.
I wondered whether the carp were being eaten. I guess the reason is they are so big is that they get thrown back in for years. If they swallow the hook and are given last rites do they go back in to float belly up? Salty's pen is done after I made the gate and installed the hinges. When he runs he leaps while he is running. I throw sticks for him and he gets them and runs around the Mulberry tree as fast as he can go. No longer does he have to stay in the boring house and just sleep out of boredom. He has shade covering much of the area of the 150 feet of fence. Now I can start working on the soffits again. I hope you and Kerry can settle the situation and let the nerves produce calm. But like Yogi Berra said: "It ain't over till it's over", also, "When you get to a fork in the road, take it". mark
Hi! Sandra...I'm sure Kerry is missing her Husband..but should appreciate all you do for them and the 'little man'...Hope things improve for the weekend!

Love your frogs Sandra!! Sorry you have had such a miserable day. Is Kerry missing Slavia and being grumpy because of that? Very lucky here with lots of sunny days..I will send you some down to cheer you up and dry your washing. On the bright side you shouldn't have any more breakages for a loooooong time. Eve
Sandra, I hope your day ended on a brighter note than it began. I LOVE your graphics. The mushrooms are beautiful. Thanks for sharing info about the carps. I hope your Friday and weekend are a lot cheerier.
