Hello everyone,
Firstly a special thanks to Jan (Serendipity) for letting me snag the crazy woman graphic. That was me this morning and I still have a rotten headache from the fallout. The day started like any other, nothing different at all apart from Kerry and Roman being here in the mornings. I do have to admit that Kerry`s untidiness is really starting to annoy me as she never offers to help but I was prepared to let that go until it happened............Roman`s bottles went missing and it was MY fault...........not her`s, oh no, mine! I was NOT amused I can tell you. I`d just found out that the dishwasher had packed up leaving me with all of the last 24 hours worth of washing up and I was in no mood for an argument about bottles, and definitely not up for being wrongly blamed....grrrr! Anyway she stomped off home and then she phoned 10 mins later to ask if I`d found them...er...no. They did eventually turn up in the rubbish because she`d left them in a bag next to some stuff to be thrown out. The culprit being, not me but Jim and Kerry told me that she wasn`t annoyed at being messed about..... Oh really? I just stopped myself saying out loud that that I wasn`t offering an apology and silently screamed......aaaaaggghhhh!
Despite a pounding headache I went along with Kerry to Little Steps Baby Gym where Roman and several other tinies were put through their paces to music. It`s intended to develop the babies motor skills though I think personally it`s more fun than anything else. They have all these apparatus and toys that they play with but the session is only 45 mins long and is quite expensive for what it is. I think I preffered Teddies Music Club yesterday though I didn`t tell Kerry that.
The one who tried to get away!
And the one who didn`t. Jim`s 17 1/2lb. carp, what a monster!
Jim had a wonderful day fishing yesterday as the above photo`s show. He`s very proud of the big carp he caught as it`s his biggest fish since last year. He thought at first it was a 20 pounder but he didn`t mind it being just a bit less than that. He did say however that it was really chilly because the lake though I thought it was a realy nice, mild day. I suppose it was sitting in an exposed spot by the lake all day without moving that had something to do with it. I`mn afraid I`ll never be able to quite understand fishermans enthusiasm for their beloved pastime!
Now we have no dishwasher I`m back to having to do the washing up by hand, horror of horrors, and I`ve just rang the engineer and booked an appointment to have the tumble dryer repaired. The earliest date they could give me is next Wednesday morning but I can wait, a dryer isn`t that important in the scheme of things. Now a dishwasher to me is a real luxury and I`d always wanted one. Now after having been using it for four years, the thought of going back to manual is really annoying. The thing is there is no warranty on it so we`re going to ask around to find an engineer who doesn`t cost the earth, and again it just have to wait...sigh.
Jim has been wallpapering all day and the hallway is transformed already. We really made the right choice with the paper as it makes the hall look very light and modern. The carpet fitter came and measured up and quoted us over £60 less than the shop, so that was a good result. I`m really impressed with Jim`s wallpapering so if you`re reading this my dear, "well done my love, and now get back to work and finish the job!" ...lolol!
Right, that`s it for now, we`ve got a quiet evening as Kerry is on her two days rest from work so our mornings also will be peaceful and tidy...ah, bliss! Anyway my friends, Bye Bye for now and enjoy the rest of your day. :o)

My daughter is the same way. I think it's in the genes. "Mom will do it". What a FISH!What does he do with them? Put them back? Clean and cook them? I'm not a fisherperson nor a fish eater, so I don't know what fish people eat. LOL Hope you have a couple of nice and mess free days. LOL

I just love that crazy lady graphic ~ reading the 1st paragraph I really felt for you ~ but Kerry is back with Mum and Mum does all the tidying up ~ (you should know that from past experience lol) glad you found those bottles in ~ the rubbish ~ naughty Jim just knew it had to be him Not you or Kerry !!!!!~ Little Steps Baby Gym was a very short session 45 minutes ~ and you never got to sing or clap your hands ~ That is some Carp Jim caught ~ I would have been over the moon with that one ~ Hope you get your dishwasher repaired and the Tumble dryer ~ odd how things breakdown at the same time ~ Ally
Oh boy...the joys of being a mother, huh? When I moved 4 1/2 years ago I moved from dishwasher to no dishwasher. But, I've found this wonderful lavender scented dishwashing soap, so I can wash the dishes (by hand) and relax all at the same time. Hopefully, the next place will have a machine to do the job. And I'm geared up for a dishwasher...I've 25 dinner plates (all the same pattern) and extra glasses, silverware, etc so I can let the dishes pile up in the machine for a few days without running out of dishes and tableware. Alas..most are packed in boxes, here. Linda in Washington
Gee why do they both have to go at the same time I wonder... I was afraid my dishwasher was going too so we went and bought the new one... the old one was almost 20 years old though.... maybe if you just give yours a kick :) it will get back to work for you.... My husband is fishing again today too and I can't figure out what is so great about fishing so often.... Alone or with others he seems to enjoy it... Hope you have a nice rest of your day. Sandra
Hope your hump day is going well!

They are never too old to get a good telling of you know! I have had the same with Becky over different things and at times I just have to speak out. She is lucky to have you to look after Roman, think what it would have cost her in childcare. I am afraid I would not have felt like going out with them! I have never seen the appeal in fishing either, but it does get you out in the fresh air. I would have to put them all back, I would not be able to kill them especially being a fishkeeper. Glad the decorating is going well. Never had a dishwasher and never likely to now, we have no room so I have always and will always wash up by hand

That fish is HUGE!! Does he clean it and cook it? Or throw it back? I love the crazy woman graphic. I feel like that more often than not!

Don't we women get blamed for things going wrong? That is a hugh fish Jim has caught and it is cold on the water fishing when it seems to be warm everywhere else but when it gets hot the sun on the water is really hot. Hope you soon get your dishwasher going again. Helen
Sorry to hear about your fallout with Kerry but well done for biting your tongue and not saying anything. Plus for not apologising ;-) I had to laugh when I read 'I'm afraid I'll never be able to quite understand fishermans enthusiasm for their beloved pastime' lol - I think the joke email I sent you earlier says it all LOL................bit rude though wasn't it?? Sorry about that :-)
Sorry to hear that you were having a 'Hump' Day...hope you have got rid of the Headache. Hope you get the dishwasher sorted...I haven't room for one. and would you believe Allan 'likes' doing them..or so he says.
Aileen....X
The graphic is about the wildest I have seen. That is a monster fish Jim caught. I use to really enjoy fishing but don't have the desire much more. I read more now than I have ever read and see the world in ways that are in depth and interesting. I hope to get to feeling like painting on my canvas sometime. I just finished Salty's pen by making the gate and putting it on hinges. It was a lot of work but he likes it so much better than being on the chain. One job done, and many more to go. mark
What a day you have had. Well done to Jim on his big fish can you eat that kind of fish no sure as we just seem to hvae trout salmon and pike up here? I'm sorry about your dishwasher I had the same problem last year and waited for about 6weeks to replace it and it was hubby that complained more than me although I did now have a nail left. Hope Thursday is better for you. By the way Sandra remember we both had new kettles at the same time well mine had to go back with a leak I think you had to take yours back as well. Workmanship mmmmm. Love Joan.
Congratulations to Jim on his catch..what a whopper!! Well done to you for staying"mum" ...I know I couldn't have been so diplomatic! Hope the dishwasher gets repaired soon. Good news on your carpet and glad you are pleased with the wallpaper. Eve
I hope things get better! Are you getting to eat some of that fish?
-Kellen
Still haven't got my desktop dishwasher so am used to washing by hand, bung yours over here and I'll do 'em for you ;o)
What a fish that is!!

I am sorry that the issue over the bottles caused a tiff with Kerry...accidents happen...go on with life, I would have said, then be done with it. Sorry you had a headache too...not a good day. Sounds like it went well for Jim and the fish...now that is a huge fish...great photos...hope your Thursday goes well....hugs and love,
Joyce
