It`s Curtains to the Good Weather!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to another cold Winters..... I mean Spring day, sorry I got a bit confused there, what with the bitterly cold, wet weather, it might as well be Winter!

Yesterday I was just too tired to post an entry, I was up at 7.13am taking down more curtains and washing them.  Over the last few days I`ve washed, ironed and re-hung five pairs of curtains, all of them lined and heavy.  I`ve seen enough of curtains to last a lifetime but I still have two more pairs to go, but they can wait until the weather improves or until after Easter when I have a bit more time. Once I`ve done those I can finish off cleaning the windows and then I will have almost finished the Spring cleaning for another year.

Our cool dude of a grandson taken by Kerry!

Today Jim and I paid another visit to Homebase to look at wallpaper again.  We HAD decided which one we wanted but started thinking it might not be quite right, so we`ve chosen another one and will buy it on Thursday when we get the 10% off,  so it`s all systems go now. Now to choose the carpet!  We then went to Asda to have a look for a jacket for Roman, we chose a padded denim jacket with a grey jersey lining and a hood, and also a shirt and shorts set, though when he`ll get the chance to wear it, goodness knows...lol!  We bought him clothes because he can`t have easter eggs, well not officially, Mother has said no.  Nanna however, has other ideas and has bought a Thomas the Tank Engine egg cup and spoon set with a small chocolate egg, I don`t think Kerry will mind too much.....I hope!

Another photo of Little Man by Kerry.

Kerry brought her camera over for us to download and copy her photos.  When Slava goes to Russia on Saturday he will be able to give his Mum and Dad one of the DVD`s to add to their collection of photos of Roman.  Kerry and Slava regularly send them DVD`s of photos and videos as it`s the only way his family get to see Roman grow up.  It`s a poor substitute for the real thing but it`s the best that can be done.  Kerry has booked her`s and Roman`s flight to St. Petersburg on June 6th for 10 days.  After all the fuss with her visa it was sorted out very quickly and she received it 4 days later.

Roman playing with his Leapfrog disco.

This afternoon after lunch I reluctantly took Jake for a walk in the rain, actually I`m not sure who was the most reluctant, me or Jake.  He certainly isn`t a lover of wet weather either.  I had to go on my own because Jim was donating blood ( any excuse so as not to walk the dog with me...lol!) When we reached the bottom of the road, a large battle scarred tom cat was sitting in the gateway of his house.  Jake saw him and pulled towards him excitedly, I pulled him back and thought to myself what would have happened if they`d come face to face.  Tom cat wore an expression that said, "Come on Fido, make my day!", and I`m sure that would have been the case, he really looked as though he was challenging Jake, who isn`t very brave at the best of times.  Oh no, that cat wasn`t to be messed with...lol!

Right, that`s it from me today.  I have 192 emails to read, though I expect a lot of them come from my tag group where I get my graphics.  I`d better go and read as many as I can tonight along with my journals too.  Have a lovely evening all of you out there.  Take care and Bye Bye for now. :o))

All the photos of Roman are so cute. Glad Kerry got it all sorted out where she can take Roman to see his other grandparents. LOL on Jake and the Tom cat. There used to be one that came in our fenced in yard that stood up and fought back at our Jake. I had to call him back because I was afraid his eyes would get scratched. Helen

What lovely photos :-)  You seem to be doing a good job with the curtains.  I don't blame Jake for not wanting to walk in the wet either.  Our dog used to be like that lol.......... That's a good idea to send Slava's parents a dvd every month.  I bet their looking forward to his visit

We have it cold here too. Roman's growing fast. I agree with Kerry, I never gave my kids any sweets or chocolate till they were four years old, it doesn't harm them, what they don't have they don't miss and they all grew up with perfect teeth, never needed any treatment. Hope the sun comes out so Roman gets to wear his shorts! Jeannette.

Oh the Little Man looks so cute as always.
I guess Kerry is not getting to go to Russia then.  (I am behind on journaling).
I see the storm in the next pic.  Almost looked like it dropped an itty bitty tornado for a second.
I wanted to ask, do you have a website that you go to that helps you put pictures in a collage, like that?  Or what program do you do that in?  I really like that.
