Hello everyone,
I hope you`re all having a really nice Monday. Weather-wise it`s been a beautiful Spring day with lots of sunshine. There`s still a chilly wind blowing but I suppose you can`t have everything. It`s good for drying the washing at any rate which means I don`t use the tumble dryer therefore saving money on electricity.
Jim has been out fishing since about 6am and has been have a really good day too. He rang me earlier to tell me that he`s been reeling the fish in one after another...not that he`s one to boast, you understand...lol! He told me that my nephew Adam phoned him and asked if he could join him. He then arrived with his gear later and spent the afternoon with him and Steve. Jim told me he`s been taking photos of his catches for my journal so I shall post them tomorrow if AOL lets me. It`s been giving me terrible trouble all afternoon and wouldn`t let me post an entry...grrrrr!
I`ve had Roman here since 3.30pm as Kerry had an earlier start at work today. The poor little lad is teething and has the sniffles to go with it. Despite that he`s been quite cheerful for most of the time but since he`s been in bed he keeps waking up crying. He goes straight back to sleep so it must be the sharp teething pains that wake him. A new tooth is just breaking the skin and I`m sure by morning it will be through completely and he will feel a little easier, bless him.
I`ve had a great weekend. On Saturday we went out for a meal with our friends Bernice and Steve to belatedly celebrate my birthday, and I ate so much, most unlike me really. I had stuffed mushrooms for starters, chicken forrestiere and sauteed potatoes as the main course, creme brulee for dessert followed by Irish coffee served with Bailey`s. It was a lovely little restaurant opposite Cliveden, (the old home of the Astors and the place where the notorious Profumo affair took place back in the 60`s) and we would definitely go there again. We have been before many years ago but it`s all changed and for the better too.
On Sunday Danny and Salina came over for dinner so again there was much to eat. I did a roast chicken ( I know, chicken 2 days running!) and four different veggies. Followed by raspberry brulee cheesecake ( from Tescos). It was lovely to see them again so soon as they were only here 2 weeks ago. I`ve never seen Danny as often as Kerry but I`m hoping that will change now, it`s almost as if there`s something in the air between them. If it does you`ll be among the first to know!
I`d better go now as Roman is crying again and I think I`ll give him a drink of water and hope I can settle him down again. I think perhaps Kerry and Slava may have a bad night ahead of them. I hope you all have a very nice evening. Take care and Bye Bye for now. :o)

Took my sister-in-law to Cliveden, a few years ago - thought she was going to peg out on me, climbing back up all those steps that lead down to the river. Glad I went, as I couldn't even climb DOWN all those steps now. Your journal is really pretty. Take care my friend.

Poor Baby. Hope his teething will soon be over with. Sounds as if you all had a great time on your late birthday meal. It's been a windy day here but it has been really warm, like 80º. Great that Jim is having a good fishing day. Looking forward to seeing some pictures tomorrow. love you graphics. Helen
Poor Roman, they certainly go through it don't they? The weather here has been cold all day with a few light showers. All that food sounded so lovely and I thought of all the times I could eat like that, I miss it!

AOL gave me trouble today. I signed in and it said I had no emails, I clicked the box and there were 30 there! When I tried to get on to the journals it asked me to sign on but it said in the box...Location: connected to AOL!! I couldn't sign in, it just froze so I turned the damn thing off and on again. It was OK then! I hope Roman's tooth is through soon, don't like to know he's suffering. Jeannette xxxx
