Hello everyone,
It`s been a gorgeous day here. The sun has been shining all day and it has been very warm. This morning Jim and I babysat Roman while Kerry went to a post-natal exercise class. He was as good as gold all the time she was gone. I even had to wake him for his feed as he had gone five and a half hours since his last one. This new milk he is on is certainly satisfying him and he seems much more content. Afterwards he was all smiles and giggles....just a completely happy little boy, he didn`t cry once while Mum was away. I can`t wait until the next time we have him, of course he may not be as happy then!
As the weather is so nice I washed the quilt covers and line dried them, something I won`t be able to do for much longer with the ever shortening days. Today was a perfect drying day and I even thought about cleaning my windows...well, it doesn`t hurt to think does it....lol ?!!! I`ve planted the rest of the pansies in pots outside the front door. The others are looking really nice and as it`s the first time I`ve planted anything for the winter. I`m looking forward to see just how nice they look when it`s really cold. I have some narsissis bulbs to plant still but they`ll have to wait until the weekend.
I heard from Danny the other day, he has very serious relationship problems again and I am very worried about him this time. I won`t go into details but I will say that we both have reason to be. I never realised what a worry my children could be as adults, being young it`s hard to see them as adults I suppose. I realise now that you never, ever stop worrying, where your children are concerned., but I will admit to feeling totally helpless at the moment.
On a happier note, this afternoon Kerry and I went for another walk. It was so nice with the lovely weather that we just chatted away, putting the `world to rights` as we walked, even Jake ambled along nicely unlike his usual "I`m in a hurry" trot! It now looks like the sunny day is being replaced by some dark clouds and I think maybe a chilly evening too.
My sore throat is gone and I`m feeling so much better for it, I`m just a little bit congested but that is only to be expected. I think the virus has got the message and moved on to pastures new....not before time methinks! Well I`m off now to sort out some more washing (exciting you say....lol!) Put something in the oven for my tea, and then to spend some time playing Bookworm. Bye Bye for now and take care.
I was very saddened to hear of the death of Ronnie Barker after a long illness. He was a very talented comedian and actor and I always watched his many shows, my favourite being "The Two Ronnies" in which he and Ronnie Corbett performed sketches that were very clever and hilarious, everyone had his or her favourite. He will be sadly missed by so many. My condolences to his family

Sandra your graphic is awesome. Know what it's like when adult kids have probs, they are much bigger than when they were younger. Thinking of you. Take care.

Glad you had a wonderful day. I remember the first time we looked after Nathan alone. We just sat and stared and stared at him and he went from my arms to Mike's. Magic. Sorry to hear Danny is having problems again. You never stop worrying my dear, they are always are babies even when they are adults. I was very upset to hear about Ronnie Barker as well, there will never be another one like him, not only a great comic genuis but a fine actor as well and he wrote much of the material.
Glad you are feeling better. No, You don't ever quit worring about you children no matter what age they are. Hope Danny soons gets his problems straightened out. Helen

YES the sun has shone here all day its nice to see the washing gently blowing in the sunshine, you are certainly not boring Ithink we like to hear about each others chores we spur each other on ,Hope the thing with Danny soon resolves< you never stop being concerned about your kids do you? JAN XX
Glad you are feeling better!!! My Mum, bless her, used to say I was more worry to her the older I got and at least as a child she knew what to do - she was at a loss to know what to do to help me as I got older and she still said that right up until she left us.......! Hope Danny sorts things out okay for your peace of mind, if not his own....my thoughts are with you.
Smiles and giggles is just what I like to hear, New milk formula seems to be doing it's job. There's nothing like drying your washing outside - always smell so nice. winter pansies are so nice when the weather is really cold to see colour outside.
Children are a worry however old they may be - if they have a problem..It's good they can come to Mum about it. It had turned cold here, although up till now it has been sunny....Glad the throat is better and that you are feeling better..Take care....Ally
Yes it is very sad about Ronnie Barker...Porridge was my favorite, but enjoyed them all...he will indeed be sadly missed....Ally
I grew up watching The Two Ronnies, so that is my favourite too. Dear old Ronnie Barker will certainly be missed.
I'm sorry to hear that your Danny is having problems m'dear. I have yet to experience what it's like when your kids are adults, with real adult problems. I'm sure that must be a worry. ((((( to you all )))))

Glad to hear you are feeling better Sandra, think the sunny days help this time of year.Think we always worry about our children no matter how old they are, I expect our parents did the same. Its great the pleasure you get from Grandchildren and nice to give them back when tired. I love your Graphics today.
Isn't being a grandma fun? The only problem is ...they grow up way too fast. Glad you're feeling better.
