THURSDAYS THOUGHTS

Hello everyone,

Welcome to a very much nicer Thursday.  The wind is quite cool but at least the sun has been shining and it`s dry, what more could you ask after yesterday`s torrential rain.

Jim and I were both up very early, Jim to take Jake to the park for a run and me to go shopping in Tesco.  My shopping went quickly as I beat the morning rush and I didn`t have to refer to my shopping list for the second week running.  Either my memory is improving or I`m having a run of good luck that could run out at any moment!  On the way out of the store there are esculators that are flat to take your trolleys to the car park.  On my way down there were three trolleys in front of me when I heard someone shout out.  What had happened was someone`s trolley didn`t lock on to the esculator properly and had hit the elderly woman in front.  Luckily, she wasn`t hurt but she was a bit shaken.  It could have been very much worse.

I had to show you what I bought for Roman today.  I`ve not seen these before though maybe you have.  It`s bath swivel chair, a seat that sticks to the bottom of the bath so that the baby can sit in the water safely, it has a 360 degrees turn so it will be easy to wash him all over.  I know Kerry will be really pleased and the baby in the photo seems happy enough so I`m sure Roman will like it too.

Windsor Castle.

Jim took this photo while in the park with Jake.  As it was so clear he got this great shot of the castle.  It always looks so different depending on the weather, Jim said yesterday morning it could hardly be seen because of the low cloud.  There are so many places in our town where you can get these shots of the castle,  in fact on a clear day it can be seen from miles away.

Again the castle but from farther down the hill from the last one.  I love the house in the foreground of the photo, the views from its windows must be quite something.

Kerry and I went back to our daily walk this afternoon, Roman is not very happy today and he seems to have a bit of a sniffle.  If I didn`t know better I would say he has started teething as he is dribbling a lot and his little cheeks are very red.  He`s also been waking up in the early hours, not to be fed but just wanting to play.  Kerry says he wakes her up with the noise he makes, banging his toys that are on the side of his cot!  She can`t wait to get a bigger place so he can have his own room.

I had a call from Danny last night, he seems very cheerful so I gather all is well between him and his girlfriend, I do hope so. I just want him to be happy, what more could I wish for.  Perhaps peace has broken out on that front, well long may it last!

That`s all from me today, I`ll leave you with some funnies.  Have a lovely day and please take care.

JUST A LAUGH!

A conscience is what hurts when all your other parts feel good.

A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

Woman like silent men, they think they`re listening.

Cole`s Law, shredded cabbage and mayonnaise.

Bare feet magnetise sharp objects so that they always point up from the floor, especially in the dark.

It`s impossible to make anything foolproof as fools are ingenious.

Middle age is when broadness of the mind and narrowness of the waist change places.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves because for they shall never cease to be amused.......

Hope the bathing device works for her. I always found kitchen sink bathing the easiest for my babies, at least easier on the back LOL

Red cheeks and dribbling?  A sure sign of teething , some cut them much earlier than others. Great shots as always and I always forget to say how much I enjoy the quips at the end of your entries.  Glad that elderly woman was not harmed by the trolley.  Going to be heavy rain tomorrow so they say. xxxx

I haven't seen a bath chair like that. Of course I haven't been around anyone who has a baby either. I love the views of the Castle. Helen

Wonderful pictures of Windsor Castle. I've always thought it one of the most romantic looking castles there are. That baby bath chair is a brilliant idea - and I bet Roman will love it!

Sounds like you had a good shopping day...and I love and have used the swivel seat for the bath with all my grandkids...they loved it and I bet Roman will too.  Wonder if Roman may be teething a bit.  Some babies teeth earlier than others...could explain his waking up early too.  Hope he gets over the sniffles too.  I love the photos Jim took, very nice..and the castle looks awesome. Very happy about Danny...that must make you feel great!  You take care and have a wonderful day and evening!
Hugs,

Joyce

I had no idea the size of Windsor Castle, it is immense.  I have been on escalators or moving stairs but I have never seen one with locking trolleys (shopping carts).   Fortunately the elderly woman was not injured.  I am spending just alittle time on the Net, but it is always enjoyable to visit journals.  Reading about what is going on with people in such far away places, and getting a personal outlook is great.     mark
