Retail Therapy and Other Murky Tales

Well I managed to find a really nice table at IKEA but Jim and I couldn`t agree on the chairs so we decided to buy them from somewhere else another time.  We had an enjoyable mooch around, picking up a few bits and pieces en route. I bought a cushion for my bedroom for the crazy price of £1.49/$3, I must take a photo of it and post it tomorrow. I also bought two orchids at £5.99/$12 another very cheap price and excellent quality too, they look better than the ones we have at work that cost much more...and another houseplant but the name escapes me....again very cheap...lol!

Today has been one of those days. I woke up feeling a littleunwell and quite tired despite having had a good nights sleep.  I just carried on regardless in the hope I`d feel better and I did, in fact I actually had a burst of energy that turned out to be just as well. I had so much to do at work today, what with the spring cleaning and several other tasks that had to be done today, by the time I left at 1pm I was absolutely shattered though I had planned to go and see if I could find some dining chairs at a nearby retail park.

Not long after I`d left work I was nearly hit by another car on a mini roundabout (which part of "give way to the right" don`t some people understand?....grrrr! Some very bad language turned the air in my car very blue...lol!  I did reach the retail park in one piece though I have no idea how. The weather is appalling today, very windy and wet and it affects driving conditions as the majority of people know, it`s the others that worry me. Anyway, I walked into Harvey`s and found the chairs I wanted immediately and in the sale too, can you believe it, I know Jim will like too. They`ll be in the shop on Wednesday so Jim will pick them up after work. I had a stroll around Homebase....why do I do these things and bought a few things....I know, I know! Then I went into Matalan and bought a jumper and a skirt....and then I went home with a slightly lighter wallet. I`ve been really good with my money this month so today was ok, I haven`t been spending my wages from lastmonth apart from bills so I thought I`d treat myself, hence the jumper and skirt....lol!

Tonight Kerry and Sharon arrive home from their break in Prague. They are having a wonderful time and will be sorry to leave. Slava, Danny and Roman will be home on Saturday too and I can`t wait to see my Little Man again. Kerry told me that Slava took them tobogganing and that he fell off, this is Slava who has been doing it all his life along with ice-skating and skiing. Danny on the other hand who has never done anything like it didn`t fall off once along with Roman who thought it was great fun to see his Daddy fall into the snow...lol! Kerry forgot her camera but hopefully Danny will have taken some good photos that I can show you all. The above photos were taken on New Years Day when we were all messing about with hats. Please don`t ask why we were because I have no idea how it started but we had a great laugh as you can tell.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot. Do you remeber when I first got my new car the sunroof leaked? and do you remember that it was replaced free of charge by the garage?  Guess what?  it`s leaking again....this time over the passenger seat though only slightly. Let`s just say I am not a happy bunny and I will wait and see just how bad it is before I decide what to do, I have no chance of getting the garage to repair it so I`ll have to look elsewhere...oh dear!  Have a lovely eveing and Bye Bye for now.

We had misfortunes with a sunroof on a car we once owned; we swore off sunroofs after that one.

Leaks can be maddening.
It is pouring with rain right now and I am not looking forward to getting out in my leaky Jeep. It has a soft top and NO REAR WINDOWS!!
Talk about a soaking wet ride!!!
