At last its finished, Christmas is now officially over and how glad I am to see the back of it all. I`ve cut my fingers on one of the glass baubles that customers have broken and sneaked back on display, glitter in my eye from one of the various tree ornamemts, dropped a tree stand on my foot and pulled various muscles from too much lifting but do I complain....me...NEVER? ......lol! I`m just happy that its all over until about October!
This morning I was looking out of the window and I noticed a cat in the window of the house opposite. As far as I`m aware they don`t have a cat and certainly not one who is identical to young Willow who lives next door to us. Willow is very curious even by cat standards and I wouldn`t be suprised if he managed to sneak indoors when no one was looking. I`ve knocked next door several times but had no reply. Hopefully he`ll be home very soon and I can ask him if Willow is missing as he often is. Then he will have to go and see if he has wandered into that house across from me. I`ll let you know what happens.
I took a couple of photos of my new dinig table and chairs, I hope you like them.
The table doubles in size when you pull out the leaves. It`s really sturdy and very practical for the shape of my dining area.
The leather chairs are so comfortable and support your back really well too.
It`s been a lovely sunny day today after a damp and miserable start. I had my coat off at work for the first time this winter so it must be warm. we don`t have any heating in the shop apart from four gas heaters and a small electric fire that I brought from home. It is only January though and I`m sure Winter hasn`t finished with us yet, in fact the sky is very clear and I suspect there may be a frost tonight....brrrr!
On Saturday morning I have an appointment at the hairdresser and in the afternoon we`re going to Kerry`s for the weekend. I`m really looking forward to it because it`ll give me more time with my little family. Jake is really good when we go there, he just makes himself comfortable and we hardly know he`s there except when he wants walking or feeding.
The funeral went as well as could be expected and there were quite a few tears shed. Jim said it was a lovely service and the minister spoke very highly of our BIL`s Mum as you would expect. At one point the minister asked the congregation to refect of the life of M while they played In the Mood, her favourite piece by Glen Miller.
Time for me to go now, theres a cup of coffee with my name on it just waiting to be drunk. Have a nice afternoon, goddbye for now and take care. :o)

I am sure that you will enjoy your weekend. Hope the hair goes well, maybe you could show us lol. Hope that cat is not being lured by the neighbours. We had that happen once and a lot of trouble arose from it. I just found some photos on my camera I had forgotten about, taken on Christmas day so maybe Christmas is not over because I might well put them on my journal lol. Glad the funeral went well.
Hi Sandra your chairs do look comfy ,hope you have a great Weekend ,and enjoying being with Roman .....love Jeanx
I wish my dining chairs were as comfy as yours look to be. They need some cushions on really but I haven't seen any I fancy yet (and we've had the suite 4 years!). You get a numb bum sat on mine.
love, Angie, xx

LOVE your dining table and chairs. It's very similar to what I want. I need something to stand up to little kids. We've talked about just buying new chairs...there's really nothing wrong with the table but my chairs (which are upholstered with a woven cloth) are horrible. I hope your neighbor's cat is back where it belongs. Enjoy your coffee. 3 of the granddaughters just came in freezing so we're all going to have a cup of hot cocoa.
Stay warm & take care,
Hugs, Barb
Sounds like Christmas wasn't giving up without a fight (winks). Love the Dining Room set, perfect for your space. (Hugs) Indigo

I'm glad you have had a little break in the cold weather. Too bad it's coming to and end tonight. I hope the weekend at Kerry's is a fun family get together. Jake is such a sweet and gentle soul. Glad you are finally done with the Christmas thing at the store. The holidays might be looked upon as a battle zone for retail worker, LOL. Hugs!
Sam

Have a nice time at Kerry's. Your dining set is very nice. The chairs look very comfortable. It the cat you saw is Willow, I do hope he's let outside before he does any damage. LOL They may not have a cat box in that house. Ewwww.
Hugs, Kathy
Willow sounds like a cat my neighbor used to have named Mr Higgins. He would just walk into our house and other neighbors homes. I always had to be alert that he didn't get in as we were all leaving.
The dining room set looks lovely.
Monica
