Hello Everyone,
I hope you`re all having a good weekend. It`s very warm here, far to warm for December in the South of England and it`s certainly doesn`t have a Christmassy feel to it, perhaps the graphics I`m usually will make it feel more so.
Danny moved back in this morning and as I type this he and Jim are putting some of his stuff in the loft. So far everything is going smoothly, the move I mean, I`m sure the three of us will get along nicely. I mean how difficult can it be????
Do you remember my updates on the Crime House? It was about the house just along the road from us that was raided by the police last December. Apparently the man was accused of serious fraud and his assets seized while he awaited trial. Well, he was found guilty of all charges and has been sentenced to 5 yrs in prison and ordered to pay back the benefits he was claiming from the government while he was charging people up to £300 a time for new identities. Much of the money was used to buy a mansion overseas and according to the newspaper police are looking further into his finances. Now I wonder what will happen to the house where his family still live, I suppose they could always go to live in the mansion, or even the other house they own on the other side of town.
I`ve had a good week at work but it`s been really busy. I`ve been doing some spring cleaning there and I`ve really enjoyed doing it too. Just give me some Mr Muscle and some dusters and I`m as happy as a sandboy! People have started to buy their Christmas trees now and lights and decorations. Most people seem to have planted their winter bedding plants now though we are still selling some to the more dedicated gardeners who are in their gardens in all weathers. Not even I want to do that though I`m doing a bit of pruning here and there but there`s not much more I can do until after Christmas. My orchid is continuing to do well and the buds are still growing but there`s no flowers as yet. Did I tell you about the cyclamen I rescued? Well that is also doing well, hopefully I`ll get some flowers from it this year.
Right, as far as Christmas is concerned I`m still not done, even though I thought I would be. I spent several hours wrapping presents and I still have more to do. One day this week I must write out the Christmas cards, at this rate they won`t get sent until after Christmas, usually I`ve written them out before the end of November but I`d better get a move on as I have loads to send overseas.
Kerry and Roman are visiting our SIL in Kent for the weekend so I hope the weather stays nice for them. I`ll bet Roman will have a great time playing on the beach in his little red wellies though I hope he doesn`t try playing in the sand this time, it`ll be a bit wetter than the last time he was by the sea. He`s grown up so much since then and after yesterday when he had his hair cut, he looks so much older too. I`ll have to take a photo of him next week and post it here. Also he is saying more words all the time, in fact sometimes he just won`t be quiet and copies a lot of what we say. On Thursday Jim was at work when he came round with Kerry and he kept asking for his Grandad. He also loves his books and sits there looking at the pages as if he can read them. Kerry says that she`s going to look for universities for him....lol!
As you`ve no doubt noticed I haven`t been posting or commenting on journals as much recently, it`s a combination of lack of time and AOL playing up again. I do miss you all and am not losing interest in journals at all. I think in all honesty that I can only manage two entries a week with the rest of my time reading journals, even if I don`t comment every time. Trust me, I`m keeping up with your news as much as possible. Anyway, that`s it for now, though I`m sure I`ve missed something. Oh yes, Jim`s going sea fishing with some work mates on Monday, weather permitting. Fingers crossed that he has a great day out and that the weather doesn`t spoil their trip. If it`s too bad it will be cancelled for safety reasons. I`m sure there`s still something that happened earlier in the week but it`s gone right of of my head...Oh dear, another senior moment I`m afraid...lol! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care and Cheerio for now.

Working in retail up to Christmas can keep you very busy after working in a supermarket for 20 years take my word you at least will ease off before Christmas eve thats when we were at our busiest. Have fun Love Joan.
I should think the hussle and bussle of Christmas is exciting ,you will be kept busy ,and the time will fly ,I'm pleased the man in the Crime house has been brought to justice ,why should some of us work our butts off whilst others feel its OK to help them selves,Dont forget to post pictures of little lord torn socks ,hair cut ,and now he is talking ,what does he say ?Tight lines for Monday Jim ,and hope ,the weather stays fair for him ..love Jan xx
what a beautiful entry this morning. I enjoyed all the sweet grafics. Sounds like everyone at your house is doing well, thats good. we are too even if its too cold out to do anything outside we are keeping busy inside. Sandra
We have missed you Sandra but I understand. Sometimes I come home from work and am totally overwhelmed with alerts and emails. There's just not enough time in the day. I'm sure your time with Danny back at home will be fine. I loved it when my son came and lived with me after he got out of the Air Force. It was nice to have time with an adult son...much different than when he was a little boy. And I feel bad that society has placed such a stigma on adult children living with there parents. Think of the money that would be available for investing, etc if more families lived in one house and shared household finances. Instead one is living over here paying rent, another somewhere else paying rent and mom and dad are in their own place paying rent or mortgage and taxes. It really doesn't make sense when you think about it. Have a good weekend, Linda in Washington state
Hi Sandra, I hope all of you enjoy Danny being home for a while. Maybe the man from the crime house was planning to retire overseas but got caught up with before he did so. Hope Jim gets to go fishing on Monday. Have a nice weekend. Hugs, Helen

I wonder if they will seize the mansion, as it was bought with illegal funds. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Yes i noticed you were not posting and i have worried and missed you. Life sure gets in the way sometimes of what we want to do. I cant wait to see a new pic of Roman...he is the cutest little boy. I am glad work is going well...i hope Jim enjoys his fishing.
LOVE, lj
Hi Sandra. Thanks for your link, I will add it to my favorites! Good luck with your son moving in and getting your shopping done and presents wrapped. I haven't started yet can you believe it? I'm such the procrastinor! Hugs and GBU, Shelly
That is too weird about your criminal nieghboor. Well on the bright side at least it wasnt violent crime ha!
Kara
Thanks for the update on the continuing mystery of the neighbors. Selling fake identies could leave a long trail of crime committed by those that use them. It is cold here now as it had been very warm and then the cold front and rain began. I am so glad it is through as it was causing me a lot of problems with pain. It is amazing that Roman is so able to converse so well. It makes me want to have his ability to absorb information so well, lol. You have made the transition to working and blending home life so it must be your prior skill taking over. I am only making entries now and then and cannot keep up with alerts so I get to the journals a little at a time. Have a good Christmas Season and certainly cold weather will appear one day and stay. mark
Hey Sandra......
Season's Greetings !!!!!! Its getting a little cold here in Georgia. I do love your graphics. I'm sure the three of you will be fine. My family and I did a little shopping today as well. I have a Christmas card that I will be sending you in the mail so hopefully it reaches you before Christmas. I would like to wish you and your family a very memorable and wonderful Christmas. I also love books Roman and I have something in common. You were missed my dear Sandra and its always nice to hear from you. Tell Jim that I will be hoping that his fishing trip goes great. Take care Sandra.
Thank you for letting me know about this posting. No, I did not get an alert. Aol is going from bad to worse! I know I had to send out my own alerts today. Maybe we should always do that to be on the safe side. I am sure you will enjoy having Danny home despite the extra washing lol! Glad your plants are doing well. Are you enjoying the decorations at the garden centre? I have sent all my overseas cards and the rest are going out this week. We are making progress with the decorations. The only thing I have not started is wrapping presents, that always gets done last. Like you, I am only going to do about two entries per week for the time being, got other things occupying my time. I do have one for Tuesday because that is special. xxxxxx
Glad Danny is back and settling in ~ I am sure the three of you will get along wonderfully ~ glad they caught up with the crook in the crime house and he was sentenced and made to pay back the benefits money he was claiming ~ I think they should take everything he has that was a dreadful crime he committed ~ glad you are good and busy at work and enjoying it ~ Look forward to seeing a picture of Roman with his new hair cut ~ lovely to know he is a little chatterbox ~ we miss you too but also know how busy you are ~ Hope Jim has a good day Sea fishing ~ and the weather holds out for him and his mates ~ Ally

Weird about your crime neighbors! Who'd have thought??
Can't wait to see recent pictures of Roman. Such a dolly he is.
Pam
Oh Sandra, I just love your graphics, the mice in particular are darling! That corrupt man must have been really, really busy all this time! Wow. We visited a Garden Centre yesterday and the place was packed with people! So I know you will be very busy now. At least the days will go very quickly! I think it would be so nice to have your son living with you for a while.
Love,
Susie

I'm SO glad I'm not the only one having trouble keeping up. I don't know why I am though. :( I had a time getting into the spirit and hubby & son got the lights on the house and in a youpon holly tree we have...looks like a giant ornament. I finally got the tree decorated. Now I need to shift into 3rd gear. LOL Hope things are well with you. Sounds like you have been busier than ever and I cannot wait to Roman with his haircut. I hope they have a good time by the sea. I bet Roman just loved it. Take care of yourselves.
Happy HolidaysA! Barb
We're crawling out the woodwork now, us people who can't keep up! It doesn't take much to throw all your routines out. In your case a full time job, for me a couple of weeks not feeling tops. Before you know it you've at least 50 million alerts. I always love reading your entries. Love Angie, x
