Hello Everyone,
I hope you`ve all had a great weekend, I certainly have though I`m paying the price now. On Saturday I went shopping with Danny and Salina to Bluewater in Essex. For those of you who don`t live in the South of England, it`s a huge shopping centre that has about everything you want and more. You have to have a lot of energy to walk around it and more money than sense to spend there as it`s full of designer stores that are VERY pricey. Of course they are out of my league and even if I could afford to shop in them I wouldn`t out of principle. An ordinary mens black knitted scarf cost £59.00 or about $150, can you believe it? It was ONLY a scarf for goodness sake! Anyway, I left that side of the shopping to the youngsters while I dreamt of a nice cup of coffee and some good bargains. They bought me coffee and later a nice lunch so I easily forgave them for dragging me around their posh shops. They bought Kerry, Slava, Roman, Jim`s and my Christmas presents and Dan insisted on carrying them all and wouldn`t hear of me or Sal carrying anything at all, eventually he relented and took the bags back to the car with arms much longer than when he started...lol! I did find some bargains and I`ve almost finished my Christmas shopping, just Jim to buy for now, though perhaps I might pick up a little something else for Roman...and maybe Kerry and Danny...lol! I did treat myself, not to clothes this time but to a mattress topper. I`ve always wanted one and after sleeping on a bed that had one my mind was made up. I find one at last in John Lewis and it`s a little piece of luxury, just like sleeping on a feather bed...bliss! After walking around Bluewater for 7 hours my feet and legs ached and my left hip was sore, I felt I`d aged 10 years in one day, I knew it was time to go home when Dan said he was tired, all 29 yrs of him...lol! I must say before I change the subject what a wonderful son I have, he tries to hide it but he`d do anything for me. Thanks Daniel , I love you to bits!
Sunday was another full day. I had 2 weeks worth of ironing to do and I duly finished the the lot. In the afternoon I wrapped Roman`s presents for Santa to collect at a later date, I`m running out of space to store them now Dan`s moving back home on Saturday. He`ll be in our spare bedroom which at the moment is home to Roman`s cot and my extra wardrobe , which is staying mine, Dan is bringing his own. I must admit it will be strange having him home again after so long but I think I`ll manage for six months without all my hair turning white...lol! Like I said I love him to bits but we`re not used to living together anymore...watch this space to see if all runs smoothly, you`ll be the first to know!
I bought a cyclamen from work today, it was in the sale and only cost £1 as it has seen better days and needs some care and attention. Over the last 2 months I`ve tended hundreds of them so I think I can save this one. Our plant manager told me to use a little tomato fertilizer on it as it works wonders, she knows what shes talking about so I`ll give it a try. The orchid I rescued not long after I started there has flower buds on it now, I`ll take a photo once they open up. We had a new member of staff start today, he seems really nice and friendly and it`s good not to be the `new girl` anymore...lol! Anyway, must away and read some journals. I`ve not long finished yesterdays! I hope you all have a nice evening, take care.:o)
Cheerio for now.

Have a nice week.
Hugs, Sugar
I think I would be tired with all that shopping you did. I have done very little. I did buy two small blue colored boxes yesterday to put some money in for the two G-kids Christmas. I think they had rather have that than some kind of present. Looking forward to seeing your orchid blossoms. Hugs, helen
Sandra,
You almost sound as if you're in the USA, what with BLack Friday over there LOL
Looks like you have been real busy. You are exhausted from all that shopping.
Hugs Sunny

Sandra just READING 7 hours tired me out!! Long gone are the days when I would have had the energy to enjoy a marathon shop like that! On the bright side you have almost all your Xmas shopping done...but will you not be tempted to get just a few more things in the run up to the big day? Looking forwward to the pics of your orchid and thanks for the tip about the cyclamen feeding. Lol I can see all my plants are going to benefit from your newfound knowledge. Eve
Hi Sandra! I'm glad you had such fun shopping. Wow that's expensive for a scarf!! Sounds like you were at our ritzy Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills!!
You are so organized getting all of your shopping done so early! It's not even Dec yet! You know what I like? That each time you go out you treat YOURSELF!! I do that, too. When I see that you do it, I don't feel so guilty LOL! A mattress topper? OMG you'll be sleeping in luxury now!
I do hope things go well with your son being there. It will be an adjustment for all. I'm sure you'll be ok.
Have a good night.
Pam
Sounds like you had a good time looking at all the pricey things....and spending time with your son. Good luck with him moving back home....love,lisa
Sounds like a wonderful weekend of shopping and good company. Hope you werent too sore today from all the walking. I envy you being done with your shopping. I certainly am not. Sigh. Once I get going it shouldn't be too much of a job. It's just the getting started. When is your son moving in? Our son & granddaughters have been here for 8 months now. I was just thinking about it today. I don't know if I will be able to bear them moving out. They better just not move TOO far away when they do. Glad to hear you aren't th "new girl" anymore. Hope you have a good week.
Hugs, Barb

Your shopping day sounds fun and tiring. I loved your comment about Jim's arms being longer after carrying all the packages. LOL I do hope your son's return home for 6 months goes well. He sounds like a great young man so it should be nice. Hope your new plant thrives!
Hugs, Kathy
Bluewater can be a nightmare, not that I have been but Becky and Dean go now and again. Like you I would not pay those sort of prices on principal, I hate being ripped off. It will be strange having Danny back, hope tempers do not get frayed lol. Then you will miss him when he goes again. Watch the post Sandra, I got it off early.

I have never been to Bluewater and only been to Lakeside half a dozen times. I work on the theory if i can't get in Romford then i go without, but it might be nice to go window shopping there on a quiet day.

Sorry to take so long to say hello but between AOL being a no go area most of the evenings and being out during the day when I usually do my computing it has been a nightmare. Here I am on Thursday and have not managed to read any journals since Sunday. Glad you got on so well with your shopping that sounds a great mall a bit big for me am really struggling just now with a bad leg. You will be glad you have cone so well with your shopping when your garden centre ges really busy nearer Christmas. Take care Love Joan.
Love your tag...so cute! Shopping sounded fun too...you got so many things...funny about Jim's arms...LOL.
Danny coming home should be fun...he is a great kid, from the past comments you have made. It's not easy when the adult child comes home, but you deal with it...and you will be fine...I bet he will be a big help for you. Hope your weekend goes well...going to get colder here. Hugs and love,
Joyce

come visit!
I am sure your Danny will be ok now he has had his own place. . .he may be more domesticated lol.I have heard of Bluewater, its sounds huge. My sons like the designer stuff . . im not fussed though.I like the sound of the mattress topper. . in fact I think I would like one myself. : )
Shopping in a wheelchair is the best thing ever! Well funniest anyway. I tend to get draped round with carrier bags, boxes plonked on my lap and if I am 'parked' I have to have the back of the chair to the wall so it doesn't tip up from the unbalanced load! Angie the Mobile Luggae Rack, that's me! lots of love, xx
