Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping!

Hello Everyone,

I`m just popping in to say Hello.  I took a days holiday today so that Jim and I could go Christmas shopping in Reading.  We spent the entire day there and have bought nearly all the presents I`d planned on getting this year.  My purse is much lighter than this morning and my debit card nearly worn out but it`s nice to know that I don`t have much left to buy.  Now of course for the mammoth task of wrapping them all up and writing out the Christmas cards.  Now Danny is moving back home I won`t have any space to store them all...Oh well, I`d better give Father Christmas a call and see if he can look after them for me...lol!

Of course it wasn`t possible to go shopping without buying myself something now was it?  I bought a lovely cardigan/jacket for the chilly days ahead.  I got it from Marks&Spencer`s and it`s a great fit as well as looking very stylish.  I have to find a present for Danny who has no idea what he wants, he`s exactly the same every year.  "Don`t worry about buying me anything"  he says, as does Jim who is just as difficult to buy for.  Hmm...One Christmas I`ll surprise them both and buy them nothing, that`ll teach `em...lol!  I also have to buy for my brother and my two nephews and a couple of friends.  Also at the beginning of the year I started buying cash stamps from Tesco.  I was really worried that I wouldn`t be working and I wanted to make sure I could by Roman some presents regardless.  Now I have a job and the stamps I`ve saved, next week I`m going to redeem them on some clothes and toys, it`ll be like getting something for nothing.

Jim and I are totally worn out after our long day shopping, mind you we really enjoyed it and we had a lovely lunch at a place called Tootsie`s, an upmarket burger restaurant.  The food there is delicious and the service is second to none. There`ll be no evening meal for us as we didn`t eat until nearly 2.30 which is a good thing because I haven`t got the energy to cook anyway.  Still I did manage to drag myself upstairs to the PC...lol!  Anyway, I want to read some journals before I watch `I`m a Celebrity.....` at 9, I`m becoming really engrossed in it already!  Bye for now. :o)

You and Jim do the same thing that Edwin and I do.  We have to wait until all the Christmas decorations downtown are up and in full regallia.  We have NO shopping done yet and I have to have gifts sent home by the first week of December!

So glad that you got yourself something too!  Your cardigan sounds wonderful!

I'm so envious!  I have a lot of shopping left to do.  Your day sounds busy but fun.  You're lucky your husband goes with you!  I have to do all the shopping on my own.  Boohoo.... (LOL).  I love the graphics you used on this entry.  They are just adorable!

It's much more sensible to go out and get the Christmas presents in one hit like you did. I hope you find Roman some things he'll like at Tesco's, they do have a big selection now don't they? Have a good evening and a good day tomorrow! Jeannette xx  http://beta.journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels/

Hi sandra.. yes I am behind on my comments!! I cannot believe this coincidence but when I was in UK this summer we went to Reading and I ate at Tootsies!! Small world huh?? It's in that shopping centre (the name escapes me at the moment) but anyway outside they had this fake beach with little deck chairs...fascinated me!!
Have a great week!!
