Hello Everyone,
What an `up and down` day I`ve had. This morning started badly with something I can`t reveal here in this journal as it wouldn`t be fair to a certain husband of mine, albeit to say that I am considering forgiving him and will leave it at that! Then I thought I would check my email early but found that AOL had suspended our account due to a violation...WHAT?!!! After two phone calls ( I made the first but a very rude man told me that as I wasn`t the account holder he could only discuss the matter with Jim) we eventually found out that an obscene IM had been sent from my other screenname which was why the account was frozen. I don`t even use it very often and I wouldn`t dream of doing such a thing and thankfully AOL were fine about it. They changed our password so we could get back online and then I changed the password to the other screenname and all seems to be fine now. What I have noticed over the last couple of days is that the other screenname has been appearing in my Buddy List which I thought was a bit odd. Now I`ve changed the password it`s no longer there, it just get`s curiouser and curiouser!
Now I have some really good news, at least I think it is..........................
Yesterday, for the first time I drove on the motorway!
I was really scared but drove 20 miles to the junction near to where my friend B lives and then back down the other side home again. I am so proud of myself for conquering one of my biggest fears and realising that it wasn`t SO bad after all. Of course there are terrible drivers and I quickly saw some pretty dangerous manouvres but I kept my cool and concentration. Jim gave me clear instructions which helped enormously, I don`t think I`d have done so well on my own to start with. And this afternoon I went on the motorway again, this time going into London when we went to visit Jim`s mum. He did warn me that it would be much busier on this stretch of road but I did ok and the traffic didn`t faze me at all. With a bit more practise I`ll be doing it with my eyes shut...er, perhaps not...lol!
When we got to the nursing home we found all the residents, Jim`s mum included all dressed in their best clothes. It turned out that one of them, a lovely Spanish lady called Puri, is 100yrs old today and they were holding a special party for her. The Mayor and other local digniteries were invited along with journalists from the local paper. Puri doesn`t look her age at all, to me she looks about 80 and she was really looking forward to her party, dressed in a smart suit and her best jewellery, she really was the Belle of the Ball. We were invited to the party but we decided to go when it started and leave the residents to enjoy the special occasion. I`d like to wish Puri on her very special day a very....
Kerry came round with Roman later this afternoon. She`s much happier today and sends thanks to you all for the Birthday wishes. She brought us some of the chocolate birthday cake that Slava bought her. It`s a Cadbury`s Flake cake and absolutely delicious, though very rich. We will enjoy a slice with our 9pm cuppa later. I hope you like the photos of Roman that I took today, he`s had a bit of a sniffle and he`s teething too which doesnt help but he was in a happy mood, especially when he saw the chocolate cake! He can now walk four steps at a time but he isn`t in any hurry to go further so we`ll just have to wait until he`s ready. Like any other toddler he`ll do it when he`s good and ready.
Anyway, I must dash now as I have countless journals to read. I was really touched by the 9/11 tributes of yesterday and I took my time reading them all. I just hope I manage to finish reading todays journals as I hate to miss any out. Have a lovely evening wherever you are. Take care and Bye Bye for now. :o)

AOL we all love it to bits. Well done on driving on the motorway!
My account was compromised once.
The real solution is to make 100% sure that your passwords aren't in any dictionary as they have special programs that run through all such words and try to gain access to your account.
Make sure too that you have run a a good spyware check and virsu check and trojan removal check in case you have keylogger installed.
Not keen on motorway driving myself but ours are a bit quieter than yours are. I try to keep my hand in as we have to go th Perth for hospital appointments etc. Having bother trying to see pictures this happens to me all the time don't know why. LOve Joan.
Those are really cute pictures. I have had my account blocked before because someone got in on my name and sent numerous unwanted emails. I do not store my password anymore and I believe that has helped. Glad that Kerry got to feeling better yesterday and had a good birthday. That is great that you are driving on the motorway now. hugs, Helen
Sandra the pictures are lovely ~ don't Jake's coat shine ~ loved the ones with Grandad and Nana ~ very curious about your screen name appearing on your buddy list ~ well done you on driving on the Motorway ~ you do meet some idiot drivers but so long as you keep your cool and concentration it isn't that bad ~ glad Jim was there to see you through your first time ~ how lovely they held a special party for "Puri" ~ Glad Kerry is feeling happier today and also glad she enjoyed her Birthday ~ Ally
Same thing happened to me Sandra when I had been on aol for around 2 years only someone had sent out several thousand filthy emails with my name on. I asked aol to check the time they were sent out and if they checked they would see I was not online as it was the middle of the night. Shakes you up though. Lovely pictures. Roman is so like his Dad. Jake is beautiful, how do you get his coat so glossy. Well done you for driving on the motorway and happy birthday to that dear lady.

Wonder who that was using your screen name. I'm glad AOL believed you and changed your password. Roman is a darling and Jake is the shiniest dog I think I've seen! Well done for driving on the motorway, I'm sure you'll get used to it. Happy birthday to Puri! Jeannette xx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
Love the pictures! Jake and Roman look like good buddies. There's nothing better than hugging and playing with grandchildren. I'm so proud of you for driving on the highway! Way to go! It is so liberating to face a fear and work through it. Awesome job!
Kathy
Just like Roman...it takes "baby steps" to drive on the freeway, if you're not used to it. I don't like it either but I have and will again. I just won't drive into Seattle, not for any reason or anyone !! I actually took the bus into Seattle once to a baby shower. It was fun actually. That grand boy of your is sure growing ! Linda in Washington state
Good for you conquering your fear of driving on the motorway. I HATE driving in traffic. I would love to have someone to drive me around full time. RIiiiight. Glad Kerry is in better spirits today. Bless her heart. Oh the pics of all of you are wonderful. Roman grows a bit more in every pic I see of him. And more handsome too!! Thanks for sharing them. I bet the birthday celebration was a sight to see. Happy Birthday to Puri!!
