Just This and That

Hello Everyone,

What a damp and dismal day it`s been here.  Last night there was an almighty storm, with thunder and lightening and the heaviest rain I`ve seen for a long time. It practically flooded our drive and the road outside, though it was fascinating to watch I did worry about my poor little car and whether it would start first thing this morning ( it didn`t!).

I did to food shopping in Tesco`s this morning, taking longer than usual because for some reason best known to them, they`d moved everything around and hadn`t finished stocking the shelves, so I found myself wandering around like a lost puppy trying to find the goods I needed.  Some I found, others just weren`t there.  When the store first opened it took me ages to get my bearings, now I have to do it all over again.  Also many of their items have new packaging making it even harder...grrr!  I`m sure they only do ito annoy their customers but watch out Tescos because I visited Sainsburys and Morrisons on holiday and I liked them both!!!

I`ve been meaning to say for weeks now that our resident rat who gave me all that bother earlier in the Summer hasn`t been seen for a couple of months now.  Jim and I have different theories about it`s absence.

I say :  He moved on because there is no food source in our garden, plus he didn`t like sharing his home with a rat-trap in case he tripped over it one dark night...lol!

He says:  The local cats got it....lol!

Either way, it`s gone, goodbye and good riddance!

And another thing, the people at the crime house are selling their cars, not new ones but a couple of old `rust buckets` that I wouldn`t dare to drive.

Jim says:  They want the money to pay lawyers fees for Mr.Crime House.

I say:  I agree!

Watch this space, I think the trial is coming up soon.

I`m pleased to say that I`ve been getting a few new readers of late and I`d like to thank them for their nice comments.  Please make sure you leave me a link to your journals so I can repay the compliment. :o)

Well that`s it from me my friends, I`ve been good today and read all of the journals bar six and I`m about to finish them off so I can spend some time improving my Bookworm score.  Have a lovely evening and take care.  Bye Bye for now. :o)

It must be a nattional thing Tesco's are doing as mine branch up here was all changed yesterday too, had terrible trouble finding the cheese, and all the frest meat has been moved too. Don't know what they are thinking of.  English Apples yesterday labeled a product of Spain if they get caught with that they will get a heafty fine.  Take Care Love Joan.

We have a spectacular storm last night but it was mostly electrical.  The only rain we had was two ten minute downpours and no rain today, hazy sun and very humid. Glad the rat is gone.  Mike hates Tesco because he can never find anything.

been raining here for about 3 days but no flooding....i am glad that rat left....and i wish the people at the crime house would leave too. At my old WM they would move things around every 3 months and the customers would be so mad....but what is really aggravating is when they stop carrying products you really like.
LOVE, lisa jo

We've had rain overnight, and pouring rain and thunder and lightening this afternoon.
Not keen on Tesco, we have Morrisons & Sainsbury quite close by..and guess what Morrisons changed everything around a few weeks ago, so much so that they issued a leaflet to say where everything was moved to, took twice as long to shop...I go to four different branches of Sainsbury, but guess what? my favourite branch was 'all change' last weekend!

Hi Sandra :-) WHY do Tesco's do that??? I've been going to them for years, and probably will still be going for years, but every now and then all the stuff is in different places!!! It drives me nuts!!!! We had the rain last night, and the thunder and lightning too, I don't like it, I'm a baby with thunderstorms lol. Glad your rat's gone, rat trap a cat, or lack of food doesn't really matter as long as it's scarpered :-) I have some new readers too, isn't it nice to make new friends :-) Have a nice evening (what's left of it lol) Take care!

I like Sainsbury's best although some of their stuff is a little dearer. I'm glad Ratty Rat has gone, not a very welcome visitor! We had that torrential rain last night from 6pm till 2am, it was so heavy, coming down in bucketfuls! I want summer back. Bet you're glad you aren't in Dorset this week! So glad that pesky rat is gone.  Hope he doesn't come back!
I hate when the store rearranges stuff.  I'm like you....I just get used to it and they move it all around and I'm lost.
Have a good day Sandra.

It's a good catch up learning about the things you've told us about in the past :-)  Sainsbury's is good (I shop there but it's the closest to home) but I think it's expensive but what do I know!!
