Out and About

Hello everyone,

My entry at last...I didn`t think I`d make it today.  As is usual for a Friday I went shopping in town with Kerry but much later than usual because she had an earlier appointment.  I didn`t mind in the least because I managed to get a lie-in this morning, unheard of on a Friday and later Kerry bought me lunch in Debenhams so I did really well out of it.  While I was out I bought a string-type bag for £1 in Primark and it doesn`t look cheap either.  It`s really smart and I am delighted with my bargain buy and plan to take it on my hols to Dorset at the beginning of September.

Kerry has been buying a few bits for the new flat, as Roman will have his own room she wants to make it as nice as possible for him.  It`s a lovely flat, very light and airy and is all newly decorated with brand new curtains and carpets.  It`s also very spacious with lots of storage space and is very quiet too.  Because of the design of the building Kerry doesn`t have any direct neighbours as there is only two flats on each floor.  She and Slava are really looking forward to the move on the 12th August.  Anyway back to this morning,  we returned to the car laden down with Kerry`s purchases and went home.  I stayed there for a while playing with Roman who hasn`t been very well the last few days.  He had a high temperature Tuesday evening but after Kerry gave him some Calpol it went back to normal again, however the next day he was poorly for most of the morning, sleeping a lot of the time.  The thing is, he didn`t lose his appetite at all, when it was dinner time it was business as usual apart from his drinking more than usual.  He was somewhat better on Thursday morning but last night his temperature was up again and Kerry called the doctor.  After discussing Roman`s symptoms he didn`t think it required a visit but he gave Kerry some good advice which she followed.  The doctor thinks it`s a combination of teething and a virus that is affecting quite a lot of babies at the moment.  He is almost completely better today and in a very happy mood.  I am so relieved but as they say babies seem to bounce back really quickly after being poorly.

I`m still trying to get everything as it was on the PC.  Jim managed to get the sound back this morning and has installed nearly all our programs except Word.  The only bugbear for me is that having lost Bookworm De-Luxe I should be able to download it without having to pay for it again.  Huh, that`s what`s supposed to happen anyway.  I`ve been emailing Yahoo for the last few days and they have been extremely unhelpful.  Even their customer services haven`t been much help.  I think I`ll have to pay for it again and this time I`ll make sure it`s saved.

Tomorrow Jim and I are going to the annual Wag and Bone Show.  It`s a dog show FOR dogs instead of for showing dogs.  Have a look at the link and see what I mean.  Right, that`s it for today.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend, take care and Bye Bye for now. :o)

I hope you enjoy tomorrow at the show. Poor little Roman, they do bounce back a lot quicker at his age, they don't waste time laying around feeling sorry for themselves do they?! Did you know you put this entry in twice?! Not long till your trip to Dorset, I hope you enjoy it, the bag was a bargain! Have a great weekend! Hope Kerry's move goes OK next week. I bought myself two Bags from Primark last year, before I went to my Son's in France. They looked real smart!

The new flat sounds lovely and I am sure Kerry will be very happy there.  Sorry to hear Roman has been poorly but as you say they bounce back so quickly.  If you do buy bookworm again remember to keep the key code in a safe place because even if you save it to disc you will not be able to open again unless you put the key code in.  I know, I found out to my cost!!!
