Hello everyone,
I`ve missed not being able to post an entry these last couple of days but with Kerry moving I`ve been very busy. On Friday afternoon Jim and I took Roman out for the afternoon leaving Kerry free to put the finishing touches to her packing without him trying to unpack it all for her! We took him to vist his Great Nanna, Jim`s Mum, who always perks up when he`s there. Even though she didn`t even look at him and doesn`t recognise us, she told us to feed the baby and blew him kisses. It was lovely to see the two extremes of the family together. He also decided to go round visiting the other people in the room especially a lady of 100 who was delighted to see him and spoke to him in Spanish and English. Also another lady who is in her 90`s asked if this was the little boy who had the birthday party. Apparently our SIL told her all about and she was really pleased to see him too. He was really good despite us being there for over an hour, though we thought he`d he`d become restless. We then went to see Jim`s sister who is in the process of moving house. Roman soon made himself at home and played happily with his toys while we drank tea and chatted. He was such a good boy and fell asleep in the car on the way home. He was soon fed, washed and in bed where he fell asleep....Jim and I felt like we could too, having forgotten how tiring parenthood can be...lol!
Yesterday morning I was up early, did the housework and was ready for Roman at 10am. When Kerry arrived she told me all their Slava and his mate had taken most of the furniture to the new flat. She stayed and had a quick cup of tea before going to collect Danny from work so that he could help out. She then had to feed the men and then go to the old flat to give it one last clean before it is inspected by the estate agents. Roman made himself at home again (I`m sure he thinks our house is his new home!) and had his morning milk and biscuits. As I`d done all the housework I had time todevote to him and we played all sorts of games before I started to feel tired...yes, I did say ME! I started to watch a TV program that I`d taped as Roman was engrossed with his toys...silly me, I looked up and he`d gone and I could hear a crashing noise from the hallway. Running out there I found him pulling all my books down from the bookcase...that`ll teach me to keep a closer eye on him. He was perfectly safe but it`s more than I can say for some of my lovely books, especially my gardening books which have lost several pages!
Kerry popped in throughout the day bringing her hubby and brother with her. The poor blokes looked exhausted after their many treks up and down the stairs to the new flat. Never mind, I won`t worry about them too much as they are both young and can cope with a bit of pain...lol! In the afternoon Jim and I took Roman to Black Park where he was delighted to watch Jake swim in the lake. It was a cool afternoon and I put my sweatshirt over his legs but he was having it and threw it on the floor. That`s his latest thing, he throws everything on the floor now and I`m sure he knows how annoying it is too! When we got home I Jim and I were worn out and we got Roman ready for bed and rang Kerry to come and collect him. He was really tired too and needed his bed. When she got here she told us they were all moved in and nearly sorted out. Roman`s room was the first to be made ready so she could put him straight to bed.
Changing the subject somewhat, with the critical alert being operated at Heathrow Airport, Jim is really feeling it. Obviously there can be no let up in the stringent rules that are in place for everyone there but my poor hubby had his breakfast taken away from him yesterday! He always takes his cereal and milk to work on early shift but yesterday a security guard threw the milk away, so today hetook sandwiches instead. He hasbeen given a list of what he can or cannot take so he thought there wouldn`t be a problem, he was wrong. This time he kept the sandwiches but the small coolbag they were in was confiscated. Tomorrow he will take them in a plastic bag and hopefully he will be ok. Anyway, I`ll bid you all a Goodnight, I`m off to surf the net. I hope you`ve all had a great Sunday, take care and have a nice evening.. :o)

I love hearing about Roman. Such a doll! I'm sure the ladies enjoyed him!
Glad he didn't get hurt on the books. Thank God! Sorry your books got damaged though.
Sounds like you've been pretty busy. Hope you sleep well tonight.

Hi Sandra, Good to hear that Roman has taking a liking to gardening...lol..ie. the book with missing pages...lol..Does Jim fly somewhere everyday, I was wondering why his breakfast was confiscated, ... Terrible , all these high risk alerts in Britain, I'm already scared of flying.

You have been busy I kno how tired I get when looking after Ellen and she is 5 now but I am always frightened to take my eyes off here. If I need a briak I put the tv on for her she loves Scoobly Doo so I get a wee rest. LOve Joan.
Gee, the poor man can not drink milk? Thats a bit extreme to make a worker there empty the milk.
I love reading about Roman and his goings on....i can just see him talking with the elderly....i know they delighted in seeing his adorable face!
Get some rest!
Love,

Oh, my you're a busy grandma! Sounds like you had a wonderful time with Roman. If he wasn't exploring everything and bringing down the book cases something would be wrong. LOL.. Kiss those sweet cheeks of his next time you see him. He's just so adorable!
Kathy
Your such a good Mom and Grandmother ...helping Kerry all the time and loving little Roman...he is so cute...love to see more photos of him when you can add them. Sounds like a big move for Kerry and Slava...Danny helping is so nice too. Hope things settle down at the airports for your Jim and my son...both have a lot to deal with at the airports where they work. You take care...enjoyed hearing about little Roman visiting his Great Nana. That was so cute she wanted him fed and blew him kisses...she knows...she really does know him deep inside. Count on it.
Hugs and love,
Joyce
Roman is the center of attention and it putting on a show, lol ! Moves can be a big job and Kerry's move will be good to have accomplished and over with. Last week we moved 5 loads of heavy concrete block from my neighbors road to my home. He did the lifting and we are making a concrete foundation on one corner of my building. My low back got bad in mid July and I am being carefull to let it heal. The heat and humidity are still high and I am only going to work after 3 p.m. until fall weather starts. I need to do laundry today and am spending more time reading on my board/cushion as that is the only way I can be relieved from the pain and then get up feeling better. My email box has 400 that I am trying to work down this morning. I miss writing and reading the journals and staying in touch. Jim having to throw away his milk and cooler is indicative of the world we live in now. It is the only way to keep terrorism in check so we will have to get used to it. mark
You're busy as ever. Such a sweet Gramma to take care of Roman. It is not burden I know. The little ones bring such joy. Hope Kerry & Slava got moved and not too worn out to enjoy their new place. Have a good week.
