Just Stuff

I took this photos several weeks ago and I thought I`d share it with you for no ther reason other than I really like it!

Hello Everybody,

I hope everyone is having a nice day.  I wish I could tell you that the weather is lovely, but it`s not.  It feels more like Autumn with dark skies that are threatening heavy rain....again and it`s also is very cool for the time of year.   I can`t believe it`s August Bank Holiday this weekend, somehow I can`t see the usual hordes travelling to the coast.  Also it`s the Notting Hill Carnival in London , if it rains there it will certainly ruin the festivities...sigh.

Yesterday I went to Windsor with Kerry just for something to do.  It was the busiest I`ve seen it this year with lots of tourist AND a strong police presence.  I wonder if it was because of the airport scare that security has been heightened, I knowThe Queen wasn`t in residence but something was definitely going on.  The sky was really dark the whole time we were out but were spared the rain until after we got back to the car when it poured down.  Good job we took our umbrellas, if we hadn`t you can guarantee it would have rained earlier and we`d have got soaked....lol!

Yesterday morning Jim and I went to Currys where we bought a new printer.  I`ve really missed ours since it gave up on us.  This one is another Epson and if it last as long as the last one (18 mths) we`ll be happy.   It was in the sale so it didn`t cost too much.  I also went clothes shopping but have yet to find something I like, or if I do it`s not in my size.  I expect I`ll go out looking again on Monday as it`s our last week before we go away, mind you, there are some nice shops in Weymouth that we don`t have here so I`m bound to find something.

I had a lovely postcard from Linda who has just returned from a cruise to Alaska.  Read all about her travels in her journal Linda`s World .  Would you mind visiting Krissy`s journal too.  Her husband John is very ill in hospital and I know you`d like to show your support.

That`s it from me today, I have Roman at 3pm today so I must get on.  Oh I forgot, Tuesday night he was an absolute angel for me at bedtime, the complete opposite to the night before.  I can only imagine for whatever reason he was having a really bad day and I felt his fury even more by putting him to bed...lol!

Bye Bye for now. :o)

I love that photo, too.  It seems the one in the back is trying to get the others to see things his way but is not having any luck.   Glad to hear Roman settled down for you.  They can be a handful some days......Linda in WA

I just love that picture!  What are the odds that they'd all be lined up like that.   The poor guy in the back seems a bit bewildered LOL!
Glad you had a nice time in Windsor with Kerry.  I wanna come to England so bad. If I ever make it there we have to go out for coffee...or tea, ok?  I hope the police were there just as a precaution.
Have fun with Roman.  I hope that angel baby has a good day!

I love the picture of the swans walking in line. Well, I love swans anyway.  Glad you got a new printer. I do not use mine as often as I used to but I would be lost if it was not there.  Very sad about John, he was doing so well. Must be very hard on Krissy.  I will pop over.

I love the picture of the swans.  They are so graceful!  Isn't it nice that Roman had such a good day after having such a rough one the day before?  Perhaps he wasn't feeling well.  Here when a baby goes thru that, we always blame it on gas.  LOL  Hope you find some pretty clothes for you time away!

Hi Sandra, this is Bea. I picked you up at Krissy's journal I think. I had gone there to see how she was doing, how John was doing, but it's been days since she made an entry, so I'm thinking she's at the hospital and it's not going well for him. I left her a comment, then browsed through her comment section to find out which Penny had left the last entry so I could email her and find out how John is doing, but did not see any journal address links that would take me back to Penny. I read many comments, then decided to visit a new journaler, so I clicked on your name, and found your website address at your profile. I'm so glad folks keep profiles so we can find out where they are when they only leave a screen name. That's how I found you! Glad I stopped by to visit you... another UK person. I visit Kate at An Analysis of Life (bobandkate), she lives in Scotland. It's very nice to hear from the other side of the Atlantic, and read about places like Hadrian's Wall, and Amsterdam, or London. Kate writes a lot of history entries, they are very interesting. So, just wanted to tell you hi, that I came by, and was concerned about Krissy. I hope you are having a wonderful vacation by the sea. Bea

Love hearing all about your trips to Windsor...so nice.  Loved the photo...and love the cute coffee tag too.  Good luck with the new printer...I remember when the old one went down.  I have to do clothes shopping too soon, for me...not for kids, that will be a fun outing!  I've been by Krissy's journal, but not Linda's...thanks for the link.  Roman is a little angel...he is grandma's little special angel, right?  Hugs and love,

Joyce
