I`m Home!

Hello everyone,

I`m home from hospital and I`m pleased to say everything went well.  I feel really good after a good night sleep and apart from feeling a little sore I`m back to normal.  Well that is apart from an extremely painful throat from the anaesthetic breathing tube.  I`ve had enough anaesthetics in the past to know that it`s usual to get a sore throat but this time I feel as though someone has tried to strangle me!  Oh well, it should clear up in a couple of days.  I got home last night at about 8 and I have to say, not a moment too soon.  I had my evening meal in the hospital and it was appalling,  I just couldn`t finish it despite being very hungry. I`ve had better school dinners and my memory of those isn`t great so I`m really glad I didn`t have to stay in any  longer or I would have starved...lol!

I want to thank you all for your good wishes while I was in hospital.  It was really kind of you and I really appreciate it.  I have to admit that I`m terrified of anaesthetics and it was a real help knowing that I had so much support.  Jim has been doing the housework for me and doing it well too, it`s not easy for him as I`m very fussy about how things should be done but he`s carried on regardless despite my fault finding.  I know, I know,  I`m lucky to have him and I shouldn`t complain, but I`m really trying not to....honest...lol!

Kerry came round this morning with a particularly cheerful Roman, he had us all laughing at his antics with Jake.  Jake was lying down by the sofa and Roman wanted to get past, so what did he do?  Climb over him of course, with Jake barely raising an eyebrow at the indignity of it.  Later when Jake was standing in front of him he crawled underneath him.  Maybe you had to see it to appreciate but their interractions are just so funny to watch.  I think they will be great mates as they grow up together and with Jake only being two years older than Roman they should have at least the next nine years together.   I thinkevery little boy should have a dog and Jake is Roman`s dog as much as ours.

While I`m on the subject of dogs I realised that with a doubt Jake is `Jim`s dog` as opposed to mine.  Where Hannah was definitely `my dog` it`s obviously Jim`s turn to be the boss.   Hannah loved everyone of course, but given the chance she would spend more time with me and followed me everywhere.  I had never even thought about it with Jake because he loves everyone too.  However, over the last week or two I`ve noticed that when Jim goes home from work, or back from wherever Jake goes mad when he sees him, almost falling over from his exuberant tail wagging.  Also when we go for a walk together, he always runs back to Jim.  I think it`s lovely because like I said he loves us all but it`s Jim`s turn to have `his dog` and I`m just the `bosses wife`!

Anyway, I`m off to make some lunch now, the hospital has certainly given me a healthy appetite, Jim brought some delicious chocolate brownies this morning and I ate mine in double quick time...lol!  I hope you all have a lovely day.  Bye Bye for now and take care. :o)

Sandra, I am so glad it all went well.  I was thinking of you all day yesterday.  Yes, your throat will soon clear up and the soreness will soon good and hopefully that will be an end of your troubles.  I am taking a day off today from my journal and from commenting on others but I have been waiting to see if you posted and, of course, I just had to comment.  Both our dogs are Mike's.  Pip leant more to me but Jesse and Jack have always been more for Boss.  Glad you had a lovely time with Roman. Now take it easy and get some rest.

Your hospital stay seems to have been a good one with a quick recovery.    Jake is treating Roman as if he were just a puppy climbing over him and under.    Hoping you will have a quick recovery from the stay.     mark

I'm so glad everything was fine yesterday apart from the food! I'm sure hospitals give you rubbish food so you go home as soon as possible! Take it easy for a while, let Jim do the housework till you're 100%! Jake sounds a lovely dog to allow Roman to clamber over him. They seem to be bestest friends already! Jeannette xx

Glad everything went well at the Hospital, the last time I was in The Royal Hallamshire, the Menu was good...and supposedly based on ideas of Lloyd Grossman? (lol) I was expecting the worst as it was a 'Diabetic' Menu.

Im so glad you are home and doing so well!  I know what you mean about the sore throat! I always loose my voice too.  Drink some warm tea and honey which Im sure you are!  I had to giggle about your writings about Roman and Jake! That is exactley how Wyatt and Luke are. There is just nothing better than a boy and his Dog!  And just for the record Lukie is MY doggie, my little shadow haha!
