Feelin` Flat-ish

Hello everyone,

I hope you`re all having a lovely day. I really should be but I`m feeling just a bit flat at the moment.  Nothing in particular is wrong so I can only assume it`s the after effects of my surgery.  Everything went so well at the time and I felt great, too great too quickly I suspect.  It`s only been a week tomorrow so that must be the reason.  Because of how I`m feeling I couldn`t find one graphic that I felt I like, (I have 100`s) so I deleted quite a few.  I`ll most likely wish I hadn`t when I cheer up but hey ho, that`s life!

This morning Kerry picked me up and took me to the new flat.  She`s made it nice and cosy already and I immediately felt at home there, something I didn`t feel in the old place.  We gave the kitchen a spring clean as the owner had neglected it somewhat.  It was clean but not the way Kerry and I like it so we got stuck in and now it`s gleaming.  We cleaned the gas cooker, worktops, cupboards and the stainless steel sink which was covered in limescale.  It`s now lovely and shiny after a good scrub with a scourer and Cillet Bang!   I know I shouldn`t advertise but that is certainly good stuff.  Two hours later we sat down to tea and Jammie Dodgers after a productive mornings work.

I forgot to mention on Friday that I had a call out of the blue from a great friend of mine that I`ve not heard from for years.  We`re meeting up on the 25th to catch up on our lost years and I can`t wait to see her again, we had so much in common and always enjoyed a good laugh together.  She said I sounded just the same and so, I said, did she.  It was like we hadn`t been apart.  It`s silly because although I can`t wait to see her I`m feeling just a bit nervous, how silly at my age...lol!

I think that`s it for today.  I feel a bit more cheerful talking about my friend`s phone call so I`m glad I did.  I hope you all have a nice relaxing evening.  Bye Bye for now. :o)

Sorry that you are not feeling up to par today. Hope you feel better soon. I need you and Kerry here to do a good cleanup job on my kitchen and while you are at it I wouldn't mind the rest of the house being cleaned also. LOL. Glad you like their new flat. Hugs, Helen

I always find you get a touch of euphoria when you start to feel a little bit better after an op and then about a week later - you can't quite put your finger on any reason - you come down off the ceiling!  Flat as a pancake!  Must be the drugs. Trust me, another week and you'll be yourself again.  Here's to renewed friendships. - love, Angie x

It's probably the anaesthetic still in your bloodstream, I felt low a while after my op last year. I hope your meeting with your friend will cheer you up! Glad Kerry's settled in the new flat and it feels homely. Have a good week! Jeannette xx

So nice that Kerry's new flat is so nice.  I'm excited for you about seeing your old friend.  You will have a great time.  I recently saw a girlfriend that I hadn't seen in about 20 years.  It was as if no time had passed.  We had a wonderful visit and plan to get together again in September.  Have a good time!!!
Love,  Kathy

Oh, I'd forgotten about your recent surgery. And you are running around after Roman.  It will take a while to recover from any surgery.  That great to hear from an old friend.  Take care now.

Sandra, even minor sugergy can take a long while to get over.  It is the shock to the system and the aneasthetic (spelled that wrong).  Please take it easy. Glad Kerry likes her new home and there is a good feeling to the place.  Yes,you will probably regret deleting those graphics.
