Hello everyone,
Welcome to the wettest day we`ve had this year, so wet in fact, that we had to cancel our visit to the farm park this afternoon. So wet, that while walking Jake this afternoon with my trusty umbrello firmly in hand, I STILL got soaked. Still on the subject of water, there is a leak in a mains pipe across the road from us, the water board have been trying to fix it without success, in fact they have just made it worse. The workmen have turned up again as I`m typing this and are proceeding to dig down even deeper, if they go any further they`ll end up in Australia! They were working Friday night and the flashing lights on top of their vehicle lit up our bedroom so I had to sleep with the duvet over my head. I should imagine the same will apply tonight as I`ll bet they`ll be working all night again. The water board keep warning us a a continuing drought but that leak has been there for at least a fortnight and I wonder how much water has been lost in that time?
As we didn`t go out this afternoon I asked Kerry and Slava over for dinner. We had roast chicken and there was too much for the two of us so it worked out well. They didn`t stay for long as they had to get Roman to bed at 6 but we all enjoyed the meal, even though it took me ages to clean up the kitchen afterwards, it never takes long with just the two of us. I`m hoping that we`ll get to visit the farm on Saturday, though I doubt Jim will come as he doesn`t finish work until 2.30pm. Kerry`s days off next week are Friday and Saturday so Sunday is out of the question.
I`m sorry for the short entry yet again but nothing has really happened all day, zilch, zero, nought, not one little thing of interest to anyone else, not even for me. Then of course tomorrow I have the dentist in the morning at 10.45. I am not looking forward to it, it`s been a long time since I`ve needed any treatment, I`ll bet I need some this time...I just know it!:o) I hope you all have a nice relaxing evening, Bye Bye for now.
A Tongue-Twister for you ----- go on, give it a try!
The third time
the three 3-toed tree toads
tried tying their toes together,
the third toad tied
the two 3-toed tree toad's toes
to the third toad's toes,
then the two 3-toed tree toads
told the third 3-toed tree toad
that tying their toes together
thrilled them to their toe tips.

Oh Sandra, I'm so sorry about the rained out trip to the farm. Isn't it frustrating when that happens? Well, you'll just have to bring Roman to our Puyallup Spring Fair in April. He'll see lots of baby animals there....Linda in Washington state
I wondered where that little field mouse was hiding - should have guessed he came running to you for protection from Barney.....
Sorry your Farm Visit had to be called off...But it would have been miserable in the rain...lets hope the weather improves before next weekend...The Water Board seem to be a long time locating that leak. must be awful having that light flashing while trying to sleep...Nothing happening at "THAT" house down the Road havn't heard you mention it lately...LOL....Ally
Sorry you are having so much rain the the farm trip had to be called off. I know that is bad to have the flashing lights in your bedroom. That tongue is really a tongue twister LOL. Helen

It's poured hard all day here too, sorry you had to cancel the park visit. I hope the rain stops by next week, once it starts in this country it never seems to stop!! Jeannette xxxx
Tongue twisters...oh my I don't dare since I often can't get through them without completely cracking up. So glad you get to enjoy having the grandbaby nearby. How lucky we are! Take care of youself, Jim and of course Jake...

Yes, it certainly rained yesterday but we need it. The water companies make me so mad. They are continually telling us to conserve water, slapping on hosepipe bans yet they lost millions of gallons through leakage of pipes. Last week we had a mains blow in the next road. The water was 100 ft high, no exaggeration, it is in a local paper with a picture. Took them fifteen hours to stop it, imagine how much water that lost! Sorry you had to cancel the visit to the farm but it might be better when the warmer weather comes anyway.
