Tempermental Tesco Trollies!

Hello everyone,

Thursday again,  is it me is time passing much faster these days?  I know, I know, it`s the `getting older` thingy.  I`m 54 next month but in a blink of an eye I`ll be waiting for my telegram from the Queen.  Well not the Queen, probably King William and he won`t be a spring chicken then either...lol!

Right on to other things, I want to introduce you all to my new virtual friend Scruffy the Puppy.................................I have decided that as Joan has Barney, Jeannette (travels) has Spot and Jan has Maddy, I too need a pal to trot around in my Scribbles.  I think he is a Dachshund crossed with a Rottweiler and he`s a very friendly little chap.  I asked Jake if he would mind me having Scruffy around and he wasn`t at all bothered, well he wouldn`t, because he was asleep at the time but I`m sure he won`t object.

I did the weekly shopping in Tesco this morning at 8.15am.  It`s certainly the best time of the day to shop but the roads are full of people going to work or Mum`s doing the school run.  I like to get there before the Mum`s have dropped off their charges and recharged their batteries before heading for the shops.  Shopping was smooth and painless as per usual but I have one gripe and that`s the supermarket trolley, or should I say some of the idiots that use them.  I have nothing against trollies as long as I can push it without the wheels drifting off in the wrong direction, no that`s not it.  It`s people who abandon them in the car park, either behind or to the side of my car in particular.  Even though the car park in Tesco is huge, there is always a trolley park only a few yards from wherever you park.  I`m sure you have people like this wherever you live and I wouldn`t mind betting they all know each other.  They probably hide behind pillars in the car park waiting for the car owners to come back and reverse into the darn things....grrrr!

I`ve not long put a very tired Roman to bed, everything went smoothly tonight and the poor little chap fell asleep before he was changed for bed so I had to wake him up, bless him.  He has been quite grumpy again for Kerry.  It doesn`t appear to be his teeth today but he has a bit of a sniffle so I suppose he isn`t at his best.  Never mind,  he is going to JoJingles tomorrow morning....another one of the groups that Kerry is trying out so he can meet lots of other babies.  Kerry says that he really seems fascinated with other tinies and keeps trying to reach out to them.

It`s been trying to snow on and off today.  I really thought it was quite mild this morning when I went shopping but when I took Jake out afterwards I was freezing and couldn`t wait to get home.  My legs felt numb so I sat on the radiator with my hands wrapped round a very hot cup of coffee.  I didn`t think I would ever warm up!

Must away now though, I have some journals to read and Roman`s clothes to pack away for Slava.  I hope you all have a nice evening, take care all of you.

How right you are about people leaving trollies on the car park..you never see that with the ones you have to put a pound coin in........

Scruffy will never keep up with Jake doing the wobble walk. LOL. Cute graphic today. Yes people park the buggies everywhere here also. The winds gets behind them at times and makes them roll into cars. Ken and I just got back from getting groceries and there was not a place to park the buggy close to us so yes I walked to the closest place and parked it. Hope Roman doesn't get sick with those sniffles. Helen

Hello Scruffy, welcome to J-Land! People dumping their trolleys is a problem in car parks, would they be so lazy if they had to put money in to use one? Sorry Roman's got the sniffles, I hope he enjoys his club; he always seems to be out clubbing......starting early in life isn't he!! Jeannette.

Hi there.  Like your virtual pet.  Shopping sounds fun.  I need to do some myself.  I even have the gift cards to do it with from Christmas.  Just need the gift of time.  I forgot to ask for that for Christmas.  LOL.
Hope Roman gets less grumpy.   He's such a sweetie.  I always love the pics when you put them in.

You're so right, those trolley parks are all over the place in Tesco's car parks aren't they, no excuse for not leaving your trolley there, bad trolley leaving people!!  I'm liking all these virtual pets, and your Scruffy is a cutie pie!  Welcome to J-land Scruffy!  Now, you have got him trained haven't you, he's not going to be leaving little puddles all over the place is he?!

I haven't been able to keep up with my alerts but I did go through all your recent photos.    They are wonderful and the one with you and Jake with his eye looking like he is surprized and excited is great.     They have one food chain store that makes people put a quarter coin into a chain locked shopping cart and not get their quarter back until they take and press the chain lock in again.    Salty stayed indoors yesterday after he got his walk and pooped and he was an excellent dog.   My surgery went fine and my shoulder has a deep incision but it feels better than when it had the lump.   I was knocked out when I was wheeled into the OR and then just woke up in the recovery room.   It was not a heavy anesthesia like I have had before for major surgery and it was pleasant with  no sickness and other unpleasant symtoms.   I got a soft drink and after a little while was given a full meal.    I got a ride home and it was the easiest surgery I have ever had.   mark
