Hello everyone,
I can`t believe it`s Wednesday already, well of course it is, but it seems to come around even quicker than last year....sigh, it`s the same old chestnut "where does the time go?" We all ask the question but never hear the answer. Hmmm...I`m rambling again, but it`s true the time does fly past and I for one seem to be wasting most of it. I seem to spend my days rushing around but doing nothing. I can honestly say that not much is happening at the moment. I mean I walk Jake, the weather`s mild and wet for the time of year, Roman comes here each evening and is nearly always as good as gold, bless him, and that is the sum of my day.
Now what can I add to that I wonder, Oh yes, on Thursdays I go food shopping and I`m starting to look forward to it, now THAT is worrying. I`m so bored, the job-hunting is getting harder because a lot of companies are not hiring until the end of the financial year in April. Fridays I go into town with Kerry and stop of for coffee in Marks and Spencer. Saturday is a bit different this week because we`re going to the cinema and Sunday, after doing the ironing and walking Jake I`ll be on the PC or doing nothing...again! Even the book I`m reading isn`t as good as I hoped. I will keep trying but I`m on page 125 and I doubt it will become more interesting now, another 10 pages and if it hasn`t picked up it`s history...lol!
If I sound a bit sorry for myself you`d be right, I even thought about giving up this journal today because I`ve not had any good ideas for ages and I`ve even started to bore myself! I thought better of it in the end and I think I`ll just take a couple of days off from writing and concentrate on reading your journals instead. While walking Jake I actually thought of a couple of ideas that I can work on and hopefully make things more interesting. The only thing that did happen was last night when we had a big storm. The wind was howling and it did a bit of damage too, not to us but across the road where the water board have been working, all their barriers and safety cones were blown away leaving a deep hole on the edge of the road, luckily there were no accidents. While I was was out walking I saw several birds nests that had been blown out of the trees, I can`t remember seeing that before. Apparently the weather front is what is left of the weather that hit the East coast of America but it has brought very mild temperatures resulting in the heavy rain and not snow.
I`m off now to finish reading the last few journals that I have left. Have a nice evening and take care. Night Night.
A Dog`s Dictionary (from his perspective!)
LEASH:
A strap which attaches to your collar, enabling you to lead your person where you want him/her to go.
DOG BED:
Any soft, clean surface, such as the white bedspread in the guest room or the newly upholstered couch in the living room.
DROOL:
Is what you do when your persons have food and you don't. To do this properly you must sit as close as you can and look sad and let the drool fall to the floor, or better yet, on their laps.
SNIFF:
A social custom to use when you greet other dogs. Place your nose as close as you can to the other dog's rear end and inhale deeply, repeat several times, or until your person makes you stop.
GARBAGE CAN:
A container which your neighbors put out once a week to test your ingenuity. You must stand on your hind legs and try to push the lid off with your nose. If you do it right you are rewarded with margarine wrappers to shred, beef bones to consume and moldy crusts of bread.
BICYCLES:
Two-wheeled exercise machines, invented for dogs to control body fat. To get maximum aerobic benefit, you must hide behind a bush and dash out, bark loudly and run alongside for a few yards; the person then swerves and falls into the bushes, and you prance away.
DEAFNESS:
This is a malady which affects dogs when their person want them in and they want to stay out. Symptoms include staring blankly at the person, then running in the opposite direction, or lying down.
THUNDER:
This is a signal that the world is coming to an end. Humans remain amazingly calm during thunderstorms, so it is necessary to warn them of the danger by trembling uncontrollably, panting, rolling your eyes wildly, and following at their heels.
WASTEBASKET:
This is a dog toy filled with paper, envelopes, and old candy wrapper. When you get bored, turn over the basket and strew the papers all over the house until your owner comes home.
SOFAS:
Are to dogs like napkins are to people. After eating it is polite to run up and down the front of the sofa and wipe your whiskers clean.
BATH:
This is a process by which the humans drench the floor, walls and themselves. You can help by shaking vigorously and frequently.
LEAN:
Every good dog’s response to the command "sit!", especially if your person is dressed for an evening out. Incredibly effective before black-tie events.
BUMP:
The best way to get your human's attention when they are drinking a fresh cup of coffee or tea.
Thank to Lori from the TAG Lounge for this smashing sig tag.

Love the dog dictionary!!! Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down - I get days like that too often, it has only been the baby, the wedding and my visits to the sun booth that have kept me cheerful of late......so much excitement in such a short time....what am I going to do when it is all over??!!
Hey my whole life is spent rushing around & doing nothing! LOL
A job will turn up, just a little more time! ;0)
Don't you dare think of giving up your journal again! You're one of the nicest people I've met, I love you! I never have anything to write about, just my boring little life, but I write anyway! LOL

Smooches dear,
SUGAR
I look at it as one day closer to Spring!
At least you feel like getting out and about. I don't even feel that good. Hoping that will change when fishing season gets here though. I love the cute tag of Jake.
Enjoyed the doggie Dictionary. Hugs, Helen

Hey! a lot of us are feeling like that just now - Winter.......
You always have 'something' to say!
Chin up!
Aileen....X
Sounds like Winter has taken us all under it's quiet belt. Me, I just roll with the flow...whatever is on my mind, comes out...good or bad...LOL. Hope the words come to you soon...but in my opinion...you always have something interesting to say..ALWAYS!
Love Jakes tag and the love you have for little man...Roman!
Hugs,
Joyce
I have trouble thinking of things to say as well. I am going to keep a pad by me as I have ideas then when I come to do my journal they have gone memory is not what is was. Love Joan. Great Graghics love the dog.
Your journal is a lot more interesting than mine.... I haven't written in it since Friday because I don't have any thing to say and besides I'm too tired ..... you would think Iam doing all the work putting in the floor. haha, Sandra
Npw you know why I disappear now and then for a few days. It does get hard to come up with ideas sometimes but not only that I think we all need a break from time to time. If we write everyday we eventually dry up. Did you read the ghost book I sent at Christmas? If so, I do hope that you enjoyed it. Having said that, it might be the one you are reading and do not think much of!

Cheer up...Spring is just around the corner and very soon the first daffodils will be out. I love to see them. I saw a lovely sight in Tesco's cafe this afternoon...3 week old twins..tiny little things on their first day out with very proud mum and dad. Hannah was 4lbs 5 and Harry was 4lbs 8. Probably next time I see them they will be sitting in the high chairs!! As you said time flies! love your tags of Jake. Eve
Please dont ever delete this journal. You are my friend and i would feel emptier with you not writing. Love, lisa
No, don't give up! I've felt like giving up this week, I've done two entries and AOL didn't even give out alerts for them!! I get a lot of ideas for entries but when I sit down to do them can I remember them?!! I thought you were going to the farm on saturday? Jeannette xxxx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
You CAN'T leave us! Take a break...yes...but please don't leave. I have just ventured outside the walls of AOL Journals (and any Exodus connected blogs) for the first time this evening. I am comPLETEly inadequate and pithy in comparison. I don't like the revelation...but I'm going to gobble it up for the lesson it is...I want to write! I want to be an excellent writer! I want to be eloquent, informative, and gripping...I want my own dot com! I am YEARS away from that...but I can see it. I've found that when I begin to falter...it's time to learn something new...try it. ;) C. http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies
Yeah just take a few days off you will feel better. Did the book get any better?
Big Hugs from The Big Apple, Marina
It's called Writer's Block.
Don't give up. I greatly enjoy what you have to say each day. And I would certainly ditch a book if it hadn't got me hooked by page 125 - you're not reading set books for school now! How about a piece on 'Books I have loved' or 'My favourite movies' or 'Recipes for a week' or 'Something new from the supermarket' or 'My most recent fashion disaster'?
Having switched to blogspot from AOL, I too have dried up this week but another essay has to go on this weekend, regardless. It's also called self-discipline, I'm afraid.
