Another Roman collage.
Hello everyone,
Here we are, another Monday again, I`m not getting into that ` where does the time go` thingy...I did that last week...lol! As you can see Roman was here again to day and Jim whipped out the camera while he was playing. He`s started to take notice of the camera now and tries to pull it out of our hands if we get too close. At one point Jim gave him the camera case to play with to take his mind off the camera itself. He has a really bad cold at the moment, his little sniffle has escalated and he has been rather poorly for a lot of the day. Kerry has been giving him Calpol to keep his temperature down and lots of cuddles just for the sake of it. The cold started with Slava and now Roman and Kerry have it, mine hasn`t developed properly and I`m still waiting to see what will happen, hopefully it will just disppear. Jim said his throat feels much better but it`s not right yet, the antibiotics should do the trick though.
This morning Jim knocked down part of the wall in the hallway. It`s hard to describe exactly what he did but it was to open up the lower stairwell and let in more light. He only removed about three breezeblocks but it makes all the difference. I was glad however when all the dust was cleared away, we even had a layer of black dust in the bath! I expect it`ll take a while before it`s gone completely. On Wednesday he`ll be plastering the area ready for wallpapering. We went to the garden centre cafe for lunch then on to Homebase where we saw the upstairs doors we want AND they are quite a bit cheaper than Jim had anticipated...it`s all happening now and I can start thinking about choosing wallpaper, tiles for the hall and a new stair and landing carpet. The one we have now is almost 18 yrs old, though it`s not even worn out. I don`t think I`ll live long enough for it to become threadbare...lol! Goodness knows what the manufacturers were thinking when they made it, didn`t they ever want to sell us another carpet? Anyway, it has to go..!!!
When we got home Jim sat down to sort out tomorrows fishing gear and I took Jake out for what I intened to be a short walk. I was about halfway round when I met a friend of mine G walking her little dog so I joined her and walked the long way around. When we got to her place she invited me in for a cuppa and I accepted. We chatted away for what seemed like about 30 mins but in actual fact was an hour and a half. I was just getting ready to go when my mobile went off and it was jim worried about where I was. I put his mind to rest that I hadn`t had an accident or forgotten where I lived and that I was on my way home, it`s nice to be missed though...! :o)
Well I`ll say farewell for now. I hope you all have a very nice evening and find something nice on TV to watch. I`ll be watching Life on Mars at 9pm, a very good series about a polceman that goes back to the 70`s whilst in a coma, sounds silly but trust me, it`s a cracker of a programme! Bye Bye for now. :o))

The weather makes it look like its almost dark time but it's not that late yet. Glad you had a good visit with you friend. I can see why Jim was getting worried though LOL. Delightful photos of Roman! He's becoming his own little person--developing more distinctiveness and personality with every new set of pictures. Hope you all are feeling better shortly.
Great pics of Roman. What a nice entry about Jim - first he's doing all that work so you don't have to call someone in and then he rings to find out where you are - bless him :-)
Lovely pics of Roman...makes me just want to give him a hug. Hope his cold clears soon ..and the rest of the families!! Laughed at your remark re carpet..poor manufacturers can't get it right ...we moan if things don't last and moan if they do..hahahahha. Eve
Lovely photos of Roman, wish I looked that good when I have a cold!! I hope he gets better soon. It sounds like Jim is really getting on with the decorating now, it'll soon be finished then you can get your new carpet. They do last for ages nowadays. I remember in the old days they used to wear out but not often you see threadbare ones now, must be the new materials they use. Jeannette.
Such an adorable little fella. I hope he feels better soon. I cant wait to see your house when its all done.

Poor little Roman, they do feel so miserable when they are poorly and they cannot say. The boys have just got over there colds. Well, Jim has been busy but I can imagine how glad you are to get rid of the dust. Lovely photos my friend.

I won't be posting an entry for a couple of days...I am not doing well at all..will explain in email soon...love you,

The photo presentation of Roman is very well done. I can see his personality developing. He has no idea that he is on the world stage! lol Jim is certainly able to make professional upgrades to your home. Dogs are great to get their owner's exercise by leading us out to walk. Enjoyed the famous "lasts". I am feeling somewhat better today. My arthritis has kept me from sitting at my computer during these warm to cold and snow days. My shoulder is much improved since the minor surgery one week ago. mark
