Hello everyone,
Welcome to a wet and miserable Wednesday morning. As promised I`ve posted the photos from our friends three day break in Annecy, France. The weather wasn`t as good as they`d hoped but they still had a really nice time there and the photos are really good. I`m really grateful to Steve and Bernice for thinking of me and my journal. It was their suggestion that I use them and I think that`s really nice of them.
Jim is fishing today with Steve, just how they can sit there in this awful weather is something only another fisher-person can understand, because it`s a mystery to me. I don`t mind Jim having his day away because he`s slowly but surely making progress with the decorating. As he said to me yesterday, he`d rather take his time and make a really good job of it than hurry it on and make a mess of it. Yesterday he got rid of the upstairs hall carpet and replaced a squeaky floorboard and then cut the new handrail down to size and put the brackets on ready to screw it too the wall. The next job will be the re-varnishing of the woodwork in the much lighter beech. Then it will be the hanging of the new doors. If anyone wants to borrow Jim for any decorating work, please email me and we can come to some financial arrangement. Of course, he knows nothing about this but I`m sure once he`s finished decorating our house he love to do everyone elses. So please book now for the year 2012....lolol! :o)
That`s it for now. I`m going to make some lunch and go and watch a programme I taped last night. I`ll be back in a couple of hours to read your journal entries but for the time being, have a great day.

The pics are really good. Nice of your friends to suggest you show them. Sorry about your weather though I have to boast we are having glorious sunny Spring like days....a bit of a nip in the air but who cares!! I'll discuss rates for Jim's services later.hahah Enjoy your day. Eve
Great Graphics and so appropriate lol.It keeps trying to snow here.I like the photos the first one seems familiar am sure we saw that one. This is the best weather for fishing as the fish bite better when its raining.Glad the decorating is coming on.Have a great day.

It looks lovely over there. Looks like we are in for some rain too
Keep dry hugs, Marina
Can he come and finish our bathroom please? Rob started it last summer and he still has not finished the tiling, LOL!!!! Love the photos!
They are lovely photos - thanks to your friends for letting you share them with us. Looks like a beautiful place to visit :-) Hope Jim has a good day fishing!!
Those photos were really great. That was nice of them to share with you. Hope the two men catch some fish today. Have a good afternoon. Helen
Your work is coming along nice... Jim needs a day off to get rejuvenated and then he will be ready to finish up the job I bet. It's going to be worth all the work isn't it. Hope you get a little sun today, sandra
It's been cold and miserable here as well. Temps have been in the 40s, my snowdrops bloomed, then the temps dropped back to the 20s and the flowers just collapsed from the shock. Think spring, think spring.
