Just a Quickie!

Hello everyone,

I`m very late posting tonight as you see.  I was going to leave it until tomorrow but I have a little time while Jim watches the football.

The Water Board are back at this very moment, warning lights flashing away while they work into the night, what a shame....if they`d done it properly the first time they wouldn`t have had to dig it up again would they?!!  In the end I didn`t have to call them as I saw a couple of their surveyors across the road this morning, obviously I wasn`t the only local to be concerned about the leak.  Apart from the waste of water it could have become dangerous had it frozen over turning the road into an ice rink and it`s just outside a primary school too.  Let`s hope they do it right this time, though I wouldn`t like to bet good money on it!

Kerry had her car fixed this morning and there was no charge.  It turned out to be a dodgy spark plug that was causing the car to overheat, the mechanic just popped a new one in and the car was fine after that. Kerry was relived that it wasn`t something that was going to cost her a fortune.  She told me today that Roman`s infection that seemed to be clearing up is back and several more exema patches are breaking up and look really angry.  Happily Roman doesn`t seem to be bothered as much as we are and is still as smiley as ever.  The only time he really doesn`t like it is when he has to have the cream on his face, but he totally ignored me creaming his back where it is much worse.  I think little ones seem to cope so well with these things because they just live day to day without any worries about what tomorrow might bring.

My new kettle has a `crack` in the outer casing. Jim says it`s the join and it`s meant to be there.  I say it wasn`t there in the beginning and it should go back on Friday when we go to town.  If it`s the join I wonder why it`s not straight and runs in a curved shape instead.  No, we`ll take it back to Argos and change it.  If that one has a `crack` in it I`ll know for sure it`s meant to be there, and if not.....I was right all along...lol!

Oh yes, before I go, our friends have sent some photos of there holiday in France and Switzerland so I`ll be posting them tomorrow.  They are good photos so I hope you`ll come and have a look at them.  I hope you`ve all had a nice day, take care and bye bye for now.

So sorry that Roman is worse again. Bless his little heart. Glad they are finally getting the leak worked on in front of you house. Wonder if they only work at night. I know those flashing lights are annoying. Thats good that it didn't cost Kerry a lot of money to get her car fixed. Hope you get some sleep with those lights flashing. Helen

Yep good result for Arsenal.Oh heck sorry to hear the water men back again hope that wont inconvenience you too much when you go to bed.Never heard of a dodgy sparkplug causing a car to overheat before.Normally it would cause the engine to misfire on 3 cylinders.Well yes i agree with you in taking the kettle back whilst its under guarentee youve nothing to loose.Look forward to seeing the photos of Switzerland. Its a nice country i was there in 1984 with my then girlfreind.we went on a shearings coach holiday to Austria and had some trips in to switzerland and Italy and Germany. That was my first trip abroad.and very enjoyable.

Can't wait to see your friends photos.  Nice of them to let you use them!  Sorry to hear about Roman's exema :-(  At least he's not bothered about it.  Sorry to hear about the crack in the kettle - don't blame you for taking it back.

Men don't recognise cracks ever!!! It has to be a crack if you think it is...us women are always right with things like that!!!

Hoping that Roman's rash is brought under control.   Had I not carried a spare charged battery in my trunk yesterday I would have been stuck.   mark

That is so frustrating when you just get something and it has something wrong with it :(
