WHAT`S THE STORY IN BA-LA -MORR-RAYYY.......???

Hello everyone,

I`m back after a day of not posting.  I just couldn`t be bothered after reading all the journals so I gave myself a day off.  I`ll probably no post an entry Saturday either as I`m going to Jim`s company Christmas dinner dance, yes, I did say Christmas but they always have it either a month after or a month before.  Now`s a good time what with January being such a miserable month, getting dressed up and going out is just the antidote for it.

Today we went to visit Jim`s mum, we was a little brighter than when I last saw her but very quiet.  Kerry brought Roman along to see his Great-Nana and at one point he started to cry, to everyones amazement, Jim`s mum looked right at him and asked " What`s the matter with the baby?" and in such a strong voice too.  Just for a brief flicker of time there was some semblance of recognition, it was lovely to witness it.  Roman was really good, and didn`t cry again after his Great-Nana spoke.  He just sat there playing with his rattles and being fussed by the nurses and people visiting their relatives.  I`m sure he knows that being good is the right thing to do while he`s there.

Kerry knows the party is over for her with return to work tomorrow.  She`ll drop him off at 5pm, I`ll give him his tea and get him ready for bed at 6.30.  He is usually good as gold at that time of the evening so I`m sure there will be no problems.  I`m sure though Kerry will give me a long list of instructions in case of me forgetting something, ( I won`t, I`ve got it all planned like a military operation...lol!)  I`ve told her not to worry about him and that she won`t miss out on his growing up because she`ll be with him all day, but she will I suppose, like all good mothers do!  We now need to get a highchair and a car seat and Slava is getting us an buggy/stroller.  Apart from those I have everything else I need. My home is becoming very child-friendly...today I had mashed banana rubbed into the ends of my hair, I`d forgotten how messy one little person can be!  I`ve also learned all the words to the theme tune of Balamory which I watch everyday with Roman who sits, eyes fixed to the TV screen.  I never thought I`dsing in front of anyone, but Roman seems to like my voice...well, it makes him laugh at any rate...lol

I went shopping today but nothing eventful happened so I won`t elaborate but tomorrow I`m going into town with Jim in the morning.  I haven`t got any money so I`ll let Jim treat me to a coffee in Marks.  I`m tempted to weigh myself but as I did last week it would be best if I left it until the fortnight is up.  My jeans belt is on the tightest notch now, just the way it used to be so I don`t think there`s much more for me to lose.  I`m not so much bothered as to what the scales say as what  the mirror says and whether my clothes are comfortable or not.  I`m only weighing myself out of interest now.

I should have explained better the other day, Jake`s reaction when we encountered the dog who was the image of Hannah.  The lady and her dog were walking on another path about 15 ft away from me and Jake.  Jake was really keen to meet her but she was not interested in him at all.  Strangely, again this was another trait of Hannah`s.  Even though she was a good-natured dog, she showed no interest whatsoever in other dogs.  She wasn`t aggressive or frightened of them, she just couldn`t care less whether they wanted to play or not, she simply ignored the fact that they were there.  There was many a youngster that wanted her attention so that she would play with them...they were all left disappointed...lol!  Of course, the other dog is not the image of Hannah exactly, she is black and Hannah was yellow, but is was Hannah with a black coat on.  I really do hope to meet them again, if only to tell the lady and take another peek at her dog.

I must fly now, I hope you`ve all had a lovely day, despite the cold wind outside...brrr!  Enjoy your evening,  Bye for now.

Nice to have a Christmas do to look forward to in January, hope you have a good time.  How wonderful that Jim's Mum was lucid like that even for a little while and so nice that she can see him. Lol at the mashed banana in your hair!  Yes, Kerry will miss him like mad.  Are you keeping him overnight or just until later when he can be picked up. Becky has decided not to go back to work, she was due back in a couple of months.  They are going to find it hard going but she does have the two and has decided she wants to be with them all the time until they start school.

First, I missed you yesterday...just so you know.  Also, you and Jim have a wonderful time at the Christmas party...I think it is great that a company will still have one...my husbands company did away with their parties years ago.  That was so sweet to hear about Jim Mum and little Romans cries.  She knew and responded...that was great.  I know Jim was probably beaming.  Wow...did you mean 5:30 AM, Kerry will drop Roman off??  Just wondered.  You will be busy, but he is on a schedule, you know his drill and he will be fine in the arms of his Grandma and the watchful playmate Jake!  LOL  I hope Kerry has a good day back at work.  You take care and we will await your next post...I know i will...hope you snap some cute shots of Roman!
Hugs and love,
Joyce

It's when you find yourself watching when Roman is sleeping or doing something else that you need to worry ;o)  Lol at the mashed banana in your hair thing!!

I love Balamory...which I suppose is pathetic to admit because I don't have children or know any toddler age children!!  I became hooked when I was at uni and it was on in the afternoons...much better than the Teletubbies or The Tweenies!!
