A FRIDAY THE 12TH KIND OF DAY!

Hello everyone,

Welcome to a day unlike any other, or at least it is now.  I have never given Friday the 13th any particular thought, I`m not really superstitious but today that all changed.  Last night my hit counter did a runner from my journal, never to be seen again, taking all 16,100 odd hits with it! I asked the UKjournals editor for help which he gave me.  I carried out the instructions but it turned out I needed help from an American source because my journal being .com, is American.  The journals editor gave me the links I needed and I duly went along to the site and printed them off.  But at the moment my brain is far too frazzled to do it tonight so it can wait until tomorrow.  I tell you it`s all happening because of the date.  I`ve fallen over Jake , bumped into things and nearly broke my neck tripping over the stair gate.  The printer wouldn`t work when I was printing off my CV so I  had to spend ages messing about until I finally got it to work again.  Oh yes, and I burned my hand on the George Foreman grill, not badly but it did hurt...roll on tomorrow that`s all I can say!

I`ve seen a really good job advertised in the local paper, it`s for a general office assistant, working from 9am till 2pm.  It really sounds good but I won`t get my hopes up.  I`ll ring for an interview on monday morning and see what happens.  I must admit, I`m more than a little bit interested, the hours are perfect and the job sounds just right for me, let`s hope nobody else applies for it...lol!  There`s also a job vacancies open day at the local hospital tomorrow.  I`ll most likely pop along there to see what they are offering, I can only but try.

Kerry came over again today, she wanted me to have a look on the internet to see if there are any mother and baby groups locally and we came up trumps straight away.  We found a group who do baby massage and music, apparently they are very good for a babies confidence and motor development. Kerry will be going along with Roman on monday so I`ll let you know how it goes..

There is somebody at the original Crime House.  I walked past and saw the window was open, there have been signs of life but I`ve not seen anyone coming or going, very odd  I can tell you that the fancy cars they had haven`t returned and I doubt they ever will now, they were probably bought with their ill-gotten gains anyway.  I can`t wait for the court case to start and then I can tell you more of what`s going on.  As for the other house, they`re crime must have been less important because everything seems normal there and I didn`t see anything in the local paper, which is quite annoying to one as nosey as me...lol!

Must rush now, I do want to catch up on the journals I have left to read.  Oh yes, I didn`t watch Big brother as I`d meant to, I watched the last episode of Lost instead.  BB is just that little bit on the boring side and I think I`ll give it a miss!  Anyway, I hope you all have a nice relaxing weekend.  Take care. :o)

Friday the 13th stuff

More than 80 percent of high-rises lack a 13th floor.

Many airports skip the 13th gate.

Airplanes have no 13th aisle.

Hospitals and hotels regularly have no room number 13.

Italians omit the number 13 from their national lottery.

On streets in Florence, Italy, the house between number 12 and 14 is addressed as 12 and a half.

Many cities do not have a 13th Street or a 13th Avenue

In France, socialites known as the quatorziens (fourteeners) once made themselves available as 14th guests to keep a dinner party from an unlucky fate.

Many triskaidekaphobes, as those who fear the unlucky integer are known, point to the ill-fated mission to the moon, Apollo 13.

If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck . Jack the Ripper, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodore Bundy and Albert De Salvo all have 13 letters in their names.

I had 11,000 hits on my journal in mid 2005 and they vanished forever one day for no reason. I am back up to 10,000 again. No one ever helped me with all that. Its 50 and raining here still. Crazy weather. I do hope you get the job you are wanting to get. Be careful....Fri the 13th is almost gone!
LOVE, lj

Well, I bet you are glad it is now the 14th!  Hope your hand is not too sore.  Good luck with the job, it sounds ideal for you although Jake will miss you, make sure you leave him with something to chew if you get it!  Becky went to massage classes with Nathan and she and he both loved it. Do not know whether she will got with Daniel because she already knows how to do it.  Love the graphic lol

Even though I am not superstitious, I am glad you made it past the number between 12 and 14.    See, I am not superstitious, lol.    I had a doctor's appointment yesterday that I was looking forward to so that I can get a large lump removed from my shoulder.   So it was a good day for me.   I was told that I would need to be sedated, which I was not for a previous one done in the Dermatologists office and was not painful at all, because this one she said she would have to dig around in because it is in the muscle.    Sorry that your counter went away, and now you have to start over again.   mark

I loved your Friday 13th entry! My partner is busy counting out the letters in all our names (funny how the only one is my mum, who he does NOT get on with! lol)
