Do babies get any more angelic than this...???
Hello everyone,
It`s Saturday again, well what`s left of it. I didn`t have chance to sit down here until nearly 4pm, so busy was I. This morning I literally cleaned the house from top to bottom, something I hate doing, but it has to be done and despite the fact that there is no wallpaper in the hallway, the place looks much tidier. I`ve been very accident prone again today, firstly I twisted my knee while cleaning the stairs...don`t ask!.... then later whilst peeling some carrots I sliced my thumb! Ten minutes later I burnt my tongue with some vegetables that I was cooking as a filling for an omelette. I`m trying to be very careful now as I`m not a lover of pain and I think I`ve had enough for one day!
Last night looking after Roman was a breeze. Kerry left him here at 5pm and I put the TV on for him to look at as he likes the movement and the sounds, well that didn`t last as the TV went kaput on me so I put my new Barbra Streisand/Barry Gibb CD on for him. He seemed to be singing along with it for a while before falling asleep on his blanket on the floor, bless him, he certainly has good taste in music! I phoned Jim to tell him about the TV and he wasn`t pleased obviously but what could we do, they don`t make them like they used too...lol! At 6pm I washed and changed Roman and gave him his bottle. By 6.30 he was fast asleep in his cot, see the above photo, looking like an angel, the little darling! Slava came to collect him at 8.30 and took him home to bed without him making a murmur. They are so lucky to have a baby that is so predictable in his sleep patterns, so many of our friends had terrible times with their children when they were tiny.
Jim went out this morning and bought a new TV. I told him there was no rush to get another but he was insistent. I must admit the new one is smashing, a Sony 28" flat screen, digital Nicam stereo, surround sound thingy, it does the washing up, makes a cup of coffee....sorry I`m just being silly now...lol! It is nice though and a lot less bulky than the old one and hopefully it last longer than the five years that our last one gave us.
The weather here has been awful for the whole of the day. We`ve had sleet, snow then rain, and the temperature has only been 1degree celsius. Despite that, Kerry and I went for an hour long walk this afternoon to shake of the winter cobwebs that seem to be hanging around. The fresh air does help but everything looks dirty in this half light. Again I say, roll on Spring. I`m having a vegetable and ham omelette for my tea tonight. I decided to expeeriment with the vegetables and I`ve added a few extra ingredients to give it a bit of a `kick`. If you don`t get an alert from me tomorrow, you`ll know that I`m suffering the after affects of it!
Before I go, if you`d like to visit KARA`S JOURNAL again, her hubby has written an update. Have a great day/evening, take care all of you. Bye Bye for now.

Another cracker from the photo to the dogs...........

You don't seem to have terribly good luck with your televisions. I've used my current set for 13 years and it's still functioning perfectly. The one I had before this one lasted for 15 years! My secret? I never, NEVER turn it off. I heard somewhere long ago that the sudden surge of electricity each time you turn the set on is hard on the components, so I decided I would simply leave it on. It's a small set and doesn't use a lot of electricity. I don't watch it all that much--it sits in a small den, not in the living room--but it is always on.
Forgot to comment on the beautiful photo of Roman--truly angelic and one to treasure.
Romam looks so sweet fast asleep, makes me wish I had one too to look after!
Gosh Sandra, after reading your entry maybe I'd better not try and get anything done around my place today. Maybe I should just go back to bed and read a book. Enjoy your new TV...mine isn't very old either and it's been doing weird things lately. That baby is soooo precious !! I just love his little fat cheeks....Linda

Roman looks so peaceful, obviously a very content baby!! Yes the LCD t.v's are wicked! We have just got a 32" LCD to replace our big (end very, very space consuming) standard 32" which we gave to Kevin and Lucy. We have also bought the cinema system (5 speakers) to go with it, Meatloaf dvd was wicked yesterday, LOL!!!
What an adorable picture of Roman. Hope you enjoy your new t.v. sounds great
