PHOTOS, WALLPAPER AND RUBBISH

Hello everyone,

Welcome to January 2nd 2006.  It`s a quiet day today, being a Bank Holiday here in England, most likely the last day before everyone returns to work, unless like Jim, they are shift workers and then every day is a working day.

My back is much better today and for that I`m very grateful, my knee on the other hand is very painful today...oh well, you can`t have everything, I suppose.  I`ve just come back from a sad attempt at walking Jake, he has no patience and doesn`t like walking slowly...he`ll be trading me in for a new owner soon...lol!  It is one of Jim`s rest days but there is little chance for him to actually do that.  He is scraping the paper off of the hallway and and preparing it for re-decoration.  I am so pleased that the dreadful wallpaper is almost gone, why we chose it I`ve no idea, but like everything else it seemed a good idea at the time...lol!

This was taken yesterday at Kerry`s.  Roman had his serious face on though he was in a lovely mood.  He still has the bacterial infection on the side of his face, despite it being very red and sore to touch it doesn`t seem to bother him the rest of the time.  It`s Kerry who get`s the most upset, naturally, as she hates to think it might be hurting him.

In this photo you can`t see quite how wet Roman has made his shirt with his dribbling.  He likes to suck and chew anything he can get his gums into, quite often that is my shoulder!

This evening Jim and I are going to the cinema to see King Kong.  We fancy a bit of excitement after the programmes offered to us by the TV companies at Christmas.  I hardly watched a thing as it was nearly all repeats, apart from a few that were easily forgettable.  We are taking along the last few sweets we have left from Christmas after giving loads away.  From tomorrow I am on a diet and must lose at least 10lbs.  This time last year I was 20lbs lighter than I am now and it`s starting to show.  The New Year is as good a time as any to make a start, not only to eat better but to exercise more, knee and back permitting!

We haven`t had a refuse collection since before Christmas and the rubbish is mounting up, If they don`t come tomorrow we will have to dispose of it all ourselves.  They have collected our recycling box but it`s the wheelie bin that worries me, I do hate rubbish building up.  We took all out decorations down today and have packed them away in the loft.  It does look bare without them but much tidier.  I look forward to bringing them down again next Christmas which will no doubt be here in the blink of a very jaundiced eye!

I`m off now to read some journals and clear away some emails, I have 137 though much of that is most likely to be from my tag group.  Bye Bye for now and have a nice, restful day.

Wish I could go to the cinema and not have to wait until everything comes out on DVD.  Know what you mean about the wallpaper. We loved our dining room paper when we first put it up but in the end I could not stand the site of it so was so glad when Mike redecorated last November.  Funny, it was only a few weeks ago and now it is last year.  Sorry about the knee, hope the pain eases soon. Still getting awful problems with my sugars.  I hope it does not mean more medication but I have to wait until next week before they will see me about it as they wanted to wait and see if they drop naturally.  I can only hope they do and I will not have to begin even more medication.  Please give us a review of the film, I hear it is pretty good with the special effects.  Roman is certainly a big boy and I know what you mean about the dribbling because Daniel gets absolutely soaked and even Nathan still does it with each new tooth.  I do not think their washing machine is ever off! xxxxx

Well our street bins were only emptied once in the week leading up to christmas...But they did come and empty them on boxing day, last thurs and have been and emptied them today too...Am surprised they did come today as this is more a scottish holiday than boxing day...Garath went to see King Kong and loved it apart from the ending...Typical 15 year old male said he needed a sick bucket for the ending <ggg>  Lovely pics again :o)  Is it impetigo on romans face or is it a rash with dribbling so much???  Sadly garath still overproduces saliva and gets rash on his face with it going on it...Not pleasant at best of times but especially not at 15.   Caff xxx

I think Roman looks so cute in his grandparents arms, so warm and snug!  We just had our trash pick up today and thank goodness...it was over flowing too.  Hope you enjoy King Kong, my husband saw it with all the kids and loved it.

Enjoyed the photos of you and Jim and Roman.   It is 60 degrees F here today in the shade.   I just took Salty for a walk down to the little lake.   Almost a mile round trip.  Salty would like to be exploring every scent along the way for hours if he could.   Usually I just take him up and down the lane.   Well, its back to reading laying down on my board and cushion which is the only way I can concentrate.   I have been doing sit-ups and I think they are the best exercise I have found for my back.   I think you know that I have had both my knees replaced, so I hope yours gets better.   It was an ordeal to go through, and medical science is finding less invasive ways to treat severly worn out knees.   Enjoyed the graphics.    mark

Love the 'Sandra' Signature
Our Refuse should be collected in the morning, but we were told none on the  26th.
Sorry you are having pain all the time. I still cannot walk properly, and it is now 6 weeks from falling. Such a lot of people seem to be in Pain, and the cold weather doesn't help! Weight has crept up on me also, and I'm very inactive at the moment
Hope you enjoyed the Night Out - Nice picture of you and Roman

I hope you enjoy King Kong and give a review on it! I love your spikey pussy cats graphic! I know what you mean about the wallpaper, I've done it before with carpets, I loved the colour and had them put all through the house. After a year I couldn't stand them! Roman is as cute as ever, loved both photos of him with you and Jim. Jeannette xxxx

Hi Sandra,
Love the photos. :)
Let me know how you like KING KONG. I was going to go see it and wanted to know if it was much like the others. I want to see THE ADVENTURES OF NARDIA...don't know if I spelled that right?  Do you know what happened to Lori in the tag group...you can email me if you want. :)   I would love to hear from you. I do miss all her tags and she was really so helpful.

Have a great day sweetie,
Love and Hugs,
Sharon
