Hello everyone,
I didn`t think I`d have the time to post anything today. What should have been a quiet day turned out to be taken up with visitors. This morning I was reading the job ads in the newspaper and found the numbers I was supposed to call but on reading them again I realised that one of the jobs, the hours didn`t suit and the other wanted `someone with experience`...the story of my life. Experienced doing what may I ask? Can I not learn a new skill? I can walk and talk at the same time and I can make my own decisions, I can even work `in a team` but I`ll be lucky to get anything where you have to think for yourself...sigh. So a nuclear physicist is out of the question I suppose, and I had my heart set on that too...lol!
Anyway, back to this afternoon. Jim left for work at 11.30 and I was supposed to be having a quiet afternoon. I took Jake for a very long walk as the weather has been much milder and dry at the same time. After arriving home I thought it would be nice to go online several hours earlier than usual. Well those plans were scuppered when Kerry announced she was coming over for the afternoon and she was later joined by my friend B ,who I haven`t seen for a while. We all had a nice afternoon chatting and playing with Roman who was in a very happy mood. I`d meant to take some photos of my Little Man but totally forgot, it would have been a perfect time with his almost permanently smiling face.
Tomorrow morning I will go online earlier and scan the job sites like Fish4jobs.com. I`ve looked before but it was just before Christmas and that`s never a good time. I have my CV/Resume on file so I can just email it through. Jobs are much easier to apply for nowadays if only I could find one to apply for in the first place...lol! Jim has suggested I go back and work for Royal Mail but there is no way I would go through all that again. Anyway, they always say don`t go back and in this case they`re definitely right! There`s not much else to say apart from have a nice evening all of you, goodbye for now and take care.

Glad that you enjoyed a nce long walk with Jake and then enjoyed a visit with family and friends. Good luck on your job hunting. I have always wonered how anyone got any experience anywhere as it seems like all the ads read experienced only need to apply. Have a good night. Helen
You'll get a job sometime and don't just take any old one that comes along...Funny i wanted to be a nuclear physicist too but no experience LOL...It's daft some of the jobs they say any past experience...How is anyone who has just left school supposed to find a job now Caff xxx
There is a job out there just waiting for your talents....hope you find it soon....Ally
Don't know if it's any help Sandra, but I wondered if the local Job Centre could offer you free training, in a field that interests you and would make the most of your obvious talents. Worth asking. I agree with some of the other comments left, don't waste your talents or undermine yourself. Take care and good luck.

Wht kind of job do you fancy?
Hope you can find the job you dream of. How can you gain experiance if they do not give you a try. Love Joan.
Good luck on the job hunting, it's always harder to find a job when you're not working, while you're at work you can find plenty! Glad you had a good day with Kerry and Roman and B coming over, nice way to spend a winters day! Jeannette xxxx http://journals.aol.co.uk/jlocorriere05/Welcometomytravels
Fingers crossed for you on the job front. I agree with Jan, don't take anything you wouldn't be happy in. Meanwhile enjoy your free time!
Is there not a website where you can post your CV and then the perfect job could find you ;-)
Sandra. . I am sure you will have more success getting a job via your local jobcentre. My sister registered for a job with them, they train you up first for the kind of job you would like (say hospital receptionist),you do all the training at the local college, health and safety ,manual handling etc.The idea is that you start your job already trained and the job centres look like they are doing great getting people in to work.I think its called The New Deal .All expenses are paid while you do the three week training. These agencies all work together so theres hardly any jobs available in the paper.Good luck
