Hello everyone,
Just a ordinary chat entry today with no mention of anything supernaturel at all....well, funnily enough, and I know it sounds silly, but I was in bed reading last night when I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was black and looked like Jake`s tail, but Jake couldn`t be upstairs because he hates steps and there is a gate across the bottom of the stairs. But I digress, I looked again and it moved very quickly under the bed and I just screamed, terrifying poor Jim who was online in the room across the hall. He moved the bed out of the way and he found nothing apart from a pile of dust ( but we won`t dwell on that...lol!) so I must have been seeing things, but it looked so real and I wasn`t reading anything remotely scary that may have caused me to let my imagination run away with me. When I woke up this morning I will admit to looking all around the floor before putting my feet on the carpet.... well I did say it sounds silly!
Back to reality again, today has been a grey, dismal day where I haven`t done very much at all. This afternoon I went with Kerry to weigh Roman at the clinic and the place was full of young Mum`s with babies that were much younger than he was. When it was Roman`s turn to be weighed he decided that it was time to scream the place down while all the other little ones just just looked on. I did feel sorry for Kerry who tried vainly to soothe him but he was having none of it. It was as good a time as any to exercise his lungs. Perhaps he`s going to grow up to be a singer like Kerry with a lung capacity like that...lol! Anyway, the scales say that he is 18lbs 13 and a half ozs, that`s a gain of 2lbs since 23rd November so goodness knows what he weigh at a year old. Hopefully he`ll slow down before then!
Jim and I really enjoyed King Kong on Monday night despite it being three hours long. The time just flew by because it went at such a fast pace. It was full of great special effects, it had thrills, spills, humour and menace, all beautifully woven into a terrific film. Shakespeare it wasn`t, but that`s not what we went to see, just a rip-roaring adventure and we certainly got our monies worth. It was well cast too with Jack Black as the film-maker Carl Denholm , Naomi Watts as Ann Darrow and Adrian Brody as Jack Driscoll, making a believable screen couple. It is definitely worth a watch, whether on the big screen or on DVD. I would happily sit through it again.
That`s it from me for today, have a lovely evening/day wherever you are. Take care and Bye Bye.
WET and DRY anon
The horse and sow live thirty years, And never know of wine and beer.
The goat and sheep at twenty die, And never taste of or Scotch or rye.
The cow drinks of water by the ton, And at eighteen is nearly done.
The dog at fifteen cashes in, Without the taste of rum and gin.
The cat in milk and water soaks, And then in twelve short years it croaks.
The modest sober bone-dry hen, Lays eggs for years and dies at ten.
All animals are strictly dry, They are sinless live and swiftly die.
But sinful, ginful rum-soaked men, Survive for three score years and ten.
And some of us, the mighty few, Stay pickled till we're ninety-two

Bet thay did scare you thinking something went under the bed LOL. That Roman is really growing and making his likes and dislikes known. Helen
Today's title certainly got my attention. Hope you don't have gorilla's under your bed. Did that movie get to you? Maybe you have a cat now? That must be it. He's hiding until he can introduce himself properly. LOL.
Roman is certainly growing fast, he'll slow down when he starts crawling and toddling about. Glad you enjoyed King Kong, it sounds great, pity Andy isn't well enough to see it yet. So you have scarey monsters under your bed now!! Jeannette xxxx
I woke up in the night suffocating; a heavy black furry thing was over my face and I could hardly breathe. It was like a cat with talons dug into my bed either side of my head and it took all my strength to pull it off and throw it to the ground. I had to be dreaming so turned over and went back to sleep. Next day Eileen who slept next door, looking a bit uneasy said she had had the oddest feeling a cat had been in her room in the night. my blood ran cold. There couldn't possibly be a cat in the house as she didn't have a cat and all the windows and doors were totally secure...It was years before I told her what had happened to me that night. I had only been visiting her and didn't want to scare her. Was it a cat or had i been dreaming? Still makes me shudder at the memory!!
I wish I could delete my last comment. I am so sorry if it has scared you. I just didn't think. Sorry!!
Wow, that was something about Jim finding nothing under the bed, I was waiting for Jake to pop out, even though you said he was downstairs. Why is he afraid of steps?? He is a big boy! I want to go see King Kong, hubby took all the kids to see it, maybe he and I can go this weekend. Sounds good from what you and he both said. Roman is just growing so fast....before you know it he will be walking...hugs and have a great evening.

Roman is so cute and growing like a weed. It seems like just yesterday when he was born!
I reckon you were suffering the after effects of New Year celebrations last night Sandra. Keep laughing.

Glad you enjoyed the film, I can't wait to see it :-) I don't blame you for looking around before putting your feet on the carpet - I do that!! Especially after seeing a spider.

Ooh, how strange. Could it have been a shadow at all? Maybe a shadow of the book you were reading? Can't wait to see King Kong!!!

Your event with something indescribable is similar to the "black hole" in the attic that swallows things up, never to be found again (Jeannettes Jottings) lol. The topic can develope engaging discussion on the part of the readers. Often the discussion is light and cheerful, rather than anything serious or dark. I have been up since 5 AM and have gone to an appointment for my chronic pain, and had the medication prescriptions renewed. I then did some shopping to get bread that I prefer which is cheaper, though excellent, because it has been taken from the larger supermarket shelves and sent to a discount store. It is multigrain, and whole wheat, and pumpernickel, which I then put in the refrigerator and its keeps the freshness for the week. I then went to the post office and bought stamps as the rate increases 2 cents on Sunday for a first class letter. I also deliberated on an ink jet refill kit at the discount store but will make my decision if I want to purchase over the next several days. I have my dog resting on my foot telling me he wants to go for a walk in the rain. My arthritis is acting up along my spine because of the rainey cold weather, and I will soon rest and read to subdue my level of discomfort. I can honestly say that I have never experienced the supernatural, but a psychological dark cloud has enveloped my concious. I believe I had reached my limit of endurance to sit on the stool for my computer, and will now have some food and rest. I believe that is all I can ask for in this life. mark
