Hello everyone,
I`ve posted this graphic for no other reason than I like it, I hope you do too.
Today I started...wait for it....Christmas shopping....there I`ve admitted it. I`ve bought several presents and some christmas cards, and the sooner I buy the rest the better. Mind you, I`ll run out of money before long so a job is needed very soon. I looked in the situations vacant pages of the local paper and all I can find are jobs that I`m too old for, not qualified for, or so badly paid it`s not worth the trouble of working in the first place. There is a vacancy for a receptionist at Battersea Dogs Home, Windsor, but the hours cover the weekends and that is a no go for me. Next week I`m going to ring around the employment agencies to see if I can get some temporary work for the time being.
This morning I helped Kerry with Roman`s bathtime. She hurt her back lifting him and couldn`t carry the baby bath. She was sorting through some of his clothes and has found that some that he hasn`t even worn yet are too small for him. He certainly is growing well.
This afternoon I had a hospital appointment for 3.30. I arrived a bit early to find that the clinic was running over an hour behind schedule. I didn`t wait around, the clinic was so busy that most of the people there were standing so I decided that I wasn`t going to join them. I changed my appointment and left. The next earliest appointment is 4th November but I don`t mind, I can wait. It was for my arm and I have had the appointment changed twice already. When I was last at the clinic in July, the doctor wanted to see me in three months to see if my arm and hand had more feeling by then, so I came away with an appointment for late October. Several weeks later I got a letter from the hosp. saying that they had brought my appointment forward to August....why?..... Then I got another letter saying it had been changed to today, early yet again. So my cancelling the app. isn`t a problem at all. It simply gives me the time I needed before the doctor sees me again
Danny has decided he isn`t coming tonight after all. He called me a little while ago to say that he will make his own way here tomorrow. I asked him why and he said he`s tired, but I can tell there is something wrong because he was very quiet. Usually he is very chatty, one way or another. He does worry me.
Tomorrow I think I will have not just Danny and my brother-in-law staying, but two of my nephews as well. I just hope we don`t have to play host to any other relations, never mind though, it`s only for one night.
I haven`t looked properly at any journals today so I had better make a start. I`ve got loads of alerts and they are mounting up as I type away. So for now, dear friends, I hope you all have a lovely weekend and take it easy.
Can You Believe It?????
One day a ranger for the Yellowstone National Park Service joined a crowd of people, cars, trucks, and motor homes that had congregated to watch a bear. One woman and her little boy stood out in the crowd. She was smearing something unidentifiable all over the boy`s face.
The ranger asked the woman what she was doing.
She answered, "Putting honey on him, of course!"
Stunned, he asked the obvious question: "Why?"
She answered matter-of-factly, "I want to take a picture of the bear licking it off his face!"
Fortunately the ranger prevented the child from approaching the bear but the ranger still has nightmares about it.
Thank you Sara for my bouncy tag!

Glad you posted that graphic - cos I like it too...C........ cant say it yet too early, but mind if I see something I want I will buy it lol...I do buy my Christmas crackers from Marks in the after Christmas sales and keep hidden from the grandchildren - because they love crackers. Have you tried one of the temping agencies for work - nice not to be permanent, and you can leave when you want too.I would love to work at the Battersea Dogs home - but Im too far away. They seem to be messing with your Hospital appointment what are they playing at ? Mothers do know their children hope Dannys problem isnt too great...Loved the tale of the Bear ...Ally
I love the first graphic and name graphic too. Don't talk about Christmas- please. LOL. Hope everything is ok with Danny. Strange they keep jumping around on your app date. Good luck on the job hunting. Hope you find something really light to do. The joke gave me a chuckle. Helen
I have not done any Christmas shopping at all yet and shall probably wait a few more weeks to get some cash together. Yes, I love the graphic, I have used it myself. Very appealing.
Difficult with the work situation, pity you cannot find something you can do from home. I do not envy you going back into the rat race.
Try not to worry too much about Danny. I am sure things will work out in the end. xxxx
(You're welcome :o))
I love that graphic you used today, there's so much to look at, and I like the effects that have been used. With my PSP head I'm now thinking I wonder how they did that, lol!! Christmas is coming, Christmas is coming! I love Christmas, though haven't even thought of starting to buy yet.
Good luck with the job hunting.

As far as Christmas shopping, I am done with one person! I would be happy with that but I have a long list. Just a little something for everyone because I don't have the money. I spend more on my mom and the kids.
I'm sure Danny's okay - if he's not he'll probably talk to you tomorrow!! Nice graphic!! Fancy starting your xmas shopping LOL.........hope kerry's back get's better poor thing........
Such a pretty graphic..love it. Christmas shopping, you are one up on me! I am just dreaming about decorating, not the shopping for gifts, now I have to get that done too of course. I bet this year for you and the family will be special with a new baby in the house. Just think of all those many Christmas times ahead when Roman learns to talk and ask for what he wants. I hope Kerry's back gets better soon...and I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Joyce
You are so lucky you have the alerts. Its been 5 days since mine quit working and i am so lost. I hope Danny is alright. Sounds like you will have a houseful tomorrow! I wonder if Jake likes all that company? Take care..love, lj
You are not alone. I try to have my shopping done by Thanksgiving, so I can actually ENJOY the season. ;) C. http://journals.aol.com/gdireneoe/thedailies

I'm almost done, too. I have to shop all year long. Can't afford to do it all the first of December. Got a couple items at the fair today that will be wrapped in Christmas paper. :)
Ihave to admit to being one of those who hasnt started Christmas yet , one day....The graphic is lovely, magic,Ihope Dannys problem isnt too serious, its weird how Mums can sense when things arent quite right, I hate that feeling right in the pit of your stomach, I hope you will find a quiet minute in your proposed busy weekend to see what is troubling him . Jan xx
Love the pretty graphic.
I have also bought a Christmas present already....and have developed some ideas.
Good luck with the job thing.
Have a good day!!!
I have bought lots of presents already too!Its a first for me to be as organised but I have enjoyed buying a gift and wrapping it up and putting it in a box in the wardrobe.I intend to be done by November and will not have to late night shop in the cold and wind and rain and snow.Isnt that the best bit though?
