Hello everyone,
I`m going to tell you the story about the Beast of Bowleaze Cove. Last Sunday week, a large black labrador was on the beach at Bowleaze Cove in Dorset with a blonde-haired woman who is reported to be its owner. The dog was first seen dragging the woman down to the water`s edge, where there were some children and adults having a leisurely paddle in the sea. What they didn`t realise was the havoc that was coming their way with the arrival of that dog. The woman who looked around to see if the coast was clear ( no pun intended!) and then proceeded to let the dog off it`s lead. The dog ran about and splashed happily in the water at first until he got bored when he realised he had nothing to chase, and so the woman decided the time was right to throw the tennis ball she had in her hand. With hindsight she would never have thrown it, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing. The dog eagerly chased the ball into the waves and the woman called the dog back to her. "Jake," she shouted, "Come on boy!," Well he obviously didn`t want to come back as he just run up and down the beach with the ball in his mouth, perhaps he was having too much fun, who knows? Well, the more she called him, the more excited he became, until he ran from the water to the beach, ignoring her totally, despite the fact that she was becoming more frantic by the moment. Of course by now, the whole of the beach was aware of the mad woman who was chasing the dog across the shingles, and they were all looking and rather enjoying the situation, that is, except for one family who were about to have their day ruined.
The dog Jake, ran up to the family hotly pursued by the woman who was by this time furious with her mutt. When he reached them she was quite some way behind and she couldn`t have stopped him if she had tried. He then stopped and lifted his leg......... straight into the bag of beach towels that where there to dry the childen! The mad woman was horrified, the mother of the family was so angry she couldn`t speak..... Mad woman truly wished the ground would swallow her up as the embarrassment was almost too much to bear, but as that didn`t happen, she grabbed Jake dog and left the beach very quickly , apologising profusely as she went and not waiting to hear the reply!!!!
Meet Bruno, Banjo and Bandit, my latest and most likely last Critters, at least for this year!
I just had to buy Bruno as he was in the sale at the shop in town that is closing down soon. I had saved some money from my holidays to get him and Jim said he`d buy Banjo and Bandit for me....what a sweetie he is too! (Jim that is...lol!)
Any photos I take now won`t be as good as the ones I`ve posted in the past according to Jim. The motor has gone on the camera so we have to use his little digital that he uses mainly for fishing photos. I think the photos ARE as good but Jim says he can tell the difference!
Another thing I meant to say about the holiday was about me being attacked by a can of hairspray. How can that be, you ask? Well, it happened like this; I sprayed my hair..... I dropped the can on the floor..... the lid broke and the pieces scattered everywhere, including one bit that jumped up and stuck in my leg. It really hurt too....How many people can say that has happened to them...lol!
Roman and Kerry this afternoon.
I just had to take this photo of Little Man looking at his toy cow. It has a sucker on the bottom and you stick it to any surface and he can hit it. For the moment he has to let Kerry hit it but he loves looking at the bright colours with those beautiful blue eyes of his!
I loved catching up with thr journals yesterday and I was delighted to look this morning and see that I`ve had 10,000 hits since I started my journal in August last year. Thanks to all my friends and readers for all of them. When I first started doing entries I really didn`t think I`d carry on but Jeannette encouraged me and gave me lots of advice and I carried on and now am so pleased that I did. The people in J-Land are so interesting and friendly, we all seem to learn so much from each other too.
Anyway, I will take my leave of you for today. I hope you all have a lovely day and do take care!

Congratulations on getting 10,000 hits and thanks for mentioning my name although there was no need. I am just so glad you started a journal, it gives me and others so much pleasure.
