My coffee bench
Hello Everyone, and welcome to a wet and miserable Wednesday afternoon. It`s been raining on and off all day. I`ve had to go out in it twice to walk Jake, but luckily it was so light that I didn`t need to put my umbrella up. I haven`t felt too well since last night, just a bit viral, and the last thing I needed was to get soaked. But it`s so dark and gloomy out there, and it`s supposed to continue all day tomorrow. On the plus side it`s not at all cold.....but I didn`t get to sit on my beloved coffee bench today.
A funny thing happened this afternoon while I was on the PC. I have lots of files with graphics etc. in them, all of them in alphabetical order so I know exactly where to find them and what is in them. I have one called Journal Photos whose name speaks for itself. I had uploaded the photo of the bench and was double checking it was in the right file....I looked, and looked and...........Journal Photos was gone...the entire file! I have searched the system, I have looked inside all my other files in case I had somehow moved it..... Nope gone. I went to my recycle bin to see if I had deleted it.....Nope. My system must have a ghost..lol ! Any ideas ?
So not much has happened at all today. Jim is on his fire course. I didn`t go to my friends because of not feeling well. I haven`t sat on my coffee bench and I have lost my Journal Photos. That, my friends, is the sum total of events of today.....how boring ! I need something exciting to happen. Thanks by the way, for tips on feeding Jake. I think it will be chicken and rice dry food. I`ll let you know what I decide. Oh yes, tomorrow Kerry and I go looking for plants for her windowbox.......well it is a start , I suppose! Bye for now and take care.....:-)

I'm making the most of this miserable afternoon, catching up on journal reading. Have really enjoyed myself. Like your bench and sorry your photo's appear to have gone AWOL. Hope you a feeling a bit better.

What an absolutely superb coffee bench - a really fine piece of work! Don't worry, I'm quite sure there'll be plenty of sunny weather to enjoy it later in the summer. I've had the same problem with my computer - files that just disappeared off the face of the earth without explanation. Never found them again. But I do hope you find your journal pic file. I'm not quite sure whether you lost it on your own hard disc, or in AOL Hometown? Have a word with Stewart - he's the expert.

Sounds like a good day to just go back to bed. Sorry about you losing all your photo's. That suggestion about using system restore sounds like a good idea. I love your coffee bench. Hope you soon get to feeling better. Helen

Awwww sorry to hear your not feeling very well (((((((hugs)))))) hope you feel better soon :-( shame you couldn't have the morning coffee, but at least your getting the rain!! Sorry you are feeling unwell Sandra, hope you feel better soon. I agree with Stuart, try a system restore back to yesterday and your file will probably come back. Well, you did say you had a hot day yesterday when it was very cold and gloomy here. We have had rain on and off all days as well. Cannot believe it if "flaming" June!! We will pay for it when it clears though because it will be so hot it will be unbearable. Good luck with the dog food. Forgot to say, also try steamed white fish, fish is very good for dogs. Just say once a week as a treat. xxxxxxx

Sorry you're not feeling well, and In hope you feel better soon. As far as the lost photo files, use the "search" function in the start menu, type in "jpg or bmp". Also use the advance search function, which will scan your whole computer, including hidden files and archives. That should find 'em.

Hope you feel better soon. Sorry about your files. I hope the hints from others will help you find them...I did not want to repeat, but they have great ideas to locate them. You will soon be sitting on your bench sipping your coffee soon I hope. On Jake, please keep us posted on what worked! Joyce
