Hello everyone, I must apologise, yesterday I intended to post a longer entry but Kerry and Danny came over unexpectedly and so I had to cut it short. A lot of your comments were regarding QUARRY CRITTERS and no one else has heard of them. I first set eyes on them last year while visiting Dorset. I fell in love with them but they were quite expensive so I had to admire them from afar. But I hadn`t bargained on Jim, who bought me two of the smaller ones, BAMBAM and BRANDIE and BETH ( a mother bear with her baby on her back). I was thrilled with them....and that was the beginning on a beautiful relationship! From then on Jim would buy me the odd one here and there with each one getting bigger each time. At Christmas I was bought one by a friend, and five others from Jim. He hid them all over the house for me to find as the day went on, the first one being in the dresser where the breakfast dishes are kept, and the final one in the bed when I pulled back the duvet! He bought me the last two because the shop that sells them is closing down soon and they had a sale on. The only other place that we can be sure to find them is Dorset, where we will be going in September. I must mention that my little `family` are black bears. There are polar bears, cats, dogs and frogs also. But my bears are definitely the best in my opinion. CLICK HERE to see a QUARRY CRITTERS site. Also they are available in the States, though I`m not sure whether or not they have to be shipped in from overseas.
Yesterday afternoon, I went to Wickes builders merchants to get the coping stones for the top of our wall. We managed to get them but they didn`t have the cornerstones that we also need, so we have to go to another place on Monday for them. We also had a look at different paving slabs for our patio. I`ve seen some really nice ones and luckily Jim likes the same ones too. I`m certain it will look lovely when it`s all finished. This project won`t be rushed though, Jim won`t havemuch time on his next days off. Tomorrow he is taking me to the hospital for my Nerve test and Tuesday he is going sea fishing with his mates. He is so looking forward to Tuesday, the weather forecast is good for the day. Ideal conditions at sea, though I can`t say it`s something I would like...rather him than me!
The weather is quite warm at the moment but overcast. This morning when I took Jake out I took my umbrella as the sky was very dark. It didn`t materialise but I won`t take a chance, with my luck if I didn`t take it down would come the rain!
This afternoon we are going to Kerry`s for dinner. She insisted on cooking because she has been here for dinner a lot since Slava has been away. It is lovely to cook for her as it makes a change cooking for another person, AND she likes the meals I serve. I must say I`m looking forward to have my Sunday dinner cooked for me, it makes a nice change.
Anyway, I must away as JIm is home and we have to take Jake out again! Bye for now and have a lovely Sunday. :-)

Well, I have certainly fallen in love with the Quarry Critters - ho hum, being on a pension stinks!!! Hope you enjoy your dinner with Kerry, hope all goes well at the hospital. The patio is going to be great by the sound of it, you must post pictures. You will see from my journal that we have a new member on board, another British journaller, I think it is going to be good and she is into the supernatural! Have a great time today dear friend xxxxxxx
p.s. if you do know an English site for Quarry Critters, please send. I could drop very large hints to the family for my Birthday lolol xxxx

Those quarry critters sound quite rare - shame the shop that sells them is closing down. Good luck with the corner stones on Monday, and the paving slabs. It's obviously going to be very impressive when it's all finished!
