HOSPITAL DAY

Hello Everyone.....again I`m late with my entry.  No matter, today I`ve had  physio on my elbow, and guess what?  One week on and the exercises and ultrasound appear to be working.  I`m so pleased because on Monday I have to go for the Nerve Conduction tests and I`m hoping they will say all is well.  I`ve already decided that that I won`t have more surgery.  I just can`t see how more surgery would help remove the internal scar tissue, and how do they know that it wouldn`t cause me more pain, no thanks, I`ll take my chances as I am.  I go back for more ultrasound in 10 days and I have to admit that as it is helping I am actually looking forward to it!

I`m still not feeling to great because now I have a painful throat and swollen glands.  It hurts when I swallow and it reminds me of the times I`ve had tonsillitis.  Hmmm....I`d rather not have that again thank you very much!  Unfortunately, when the glands in my throat swell, so do the glands in other parts in my body, I don`t know if I`m alone in in this, but it`s certainly uncomfortable.

Kerry drove me to the hospital because we were going to the garden centre cafe for coffee and cake later.  The hospital carpark is a nightmare and certainly isn`t designed for people who are ill, which is unfortunate under the circumstances.  The hospital isn`t large in comparison to ones in the cities, but large enough.  The carpark is very small .  So round and round we drove, round and round and round, until eventually we found a gap to park in...AND the nice lady who left the gap gave us her parking ticket too. Which we later passed on to the person who drove into our gap as we were leaving!

When I got home I planted the last few azaleas that I bought weeks ago, but was waiting until they had stopped blooming.  That done I watered the flowerboxes at the front of the house. It was supposed to have been raining all day but someone obviously got that wrong....what a surprise lolol!  But judging from the colour of the sky it will probably pour down very soon. I watched the last two episodes of Desperate Housewives last night. Very good they were too, though I knew what was going to happen from reading an American journal, we were a couple of weeks behind with the series!  That`s it now, there`s nothing on TV that I like to watch now.  Hope something new comes along soon, I don`t watch TV much at the best of times.  Just the odd drama series and Have I Got News For You, and that`s only half an hour a week.

Well that`s the lot for today. Take care and have a great day.  Bye for now. :-)

Pleased to hear your arm is recovering and hope you soon feel better. Swollen glands can be very painful. Hospital car parks are Britain's worst nightmare. As for having to pay to park, because you are unfortunate enough to be ill, is sick! Take care my friend.

Sounds as if are having a bad time right now. Hope you soon get to feeling better. I haven't noticed any more glands swelling when my trhoat glands swell.
It was supposed to rain a lot here today also but the sun has shown most of the day. About time LOL. Helen

I'm so glad the physio and ultrasound treatment seem to be working on your poor arm. It's about time you saw some progress! And yes - I think you're probably right to say no to more surgery. Fingers crossed that it gradually improves on its own. Hope the throat gets better soon too!

At our local hospital you have to drive around for usually an hour before you can get a parking space, I have seen people actually fight over them.  Normally you have to park in one of the surrounding roads and walk.  It is disgusting.  Hope you feel better soon and that you do not pass anything on to Kerry. I have been a bit under the weather myself.  Hope you have a nice weekend xxxxxx

Oh, I forgot to say, so glad that the ultrasound is working. I am glad you have decided against more surgery, that can often make things like that worse. xxxxx

Morning Sandra,

Good deal on the elbow treatments, anything is better than surgery. Was the injury sports related?
I hope the sore throat thing passes soon, I know it can be very uncomfortable.  Drink a lot, and make some penicillin (aka chicken) soup.

Ben (my son) and I are off for a weekend in the mountains for backpacking and fly fishing, thou not the best of weather here today. Our destination is Highland County, in the western portion of VA, an area where the trout streams outnumber the residents : )

Anyway, regards to Jim and have a great weekend

Sounds like what I've got :o(
Hope you feel better soon my dear.
Glad those therapy sessions are working for your arm.
I haven't seen the last episodes of Desperate Housewives yet, we watch it on a Sunday instead of Wednesday, because there's another show we like on Wednesdays.

Hope you are feeling better soon.I have'nt seen the Desperate Housewives ,just feel like one sometimes lol. I like to watch a drama though .Last one I watched was last week on  uk documentaries channel. It was about the Yorkshire Ripper and was on in two parts, two hours each .It was really good,a bit like Frost really and it was based on the detective who was leading the manhunt.I really felt sorry for him and his family as the stress of the manhunt killed him too.
Have a lovely weekend .That coffee and cake shop at the garden centre sounds nice : )

I'm so glad the therapy is working and there wont be any more surgery.  I've been worried about that.  The carpark sounds like the one at my doctors office.  You have to drive in circles so much you get dizzy before you find some place to park AND then you have to walk a bunch to get where your doctor resides.  Bah Humbug!  Pennie

Sandra, I sure hope your throat and glands are doing better.  I am not sure why we are all sickly.  I think I am getting better.  It comes and goes.
