Concorde on her farewell flight with the Red Arrows courtesy of Jim
Hello everyone on this beautiful sunny day....yes SUNNY! Isn`t it wonderful I almost can`t believe it, maybe summer is coming after all.
The pictures of Concorde were provided by Jim. He didn`t take them of course but he does know who did. His company refuel the aircraft for British Airways and Jim refuelled Concorde on it`s final flight from Heathrow. The pictures are really stunning and worth posting I think.
Today Jim went off on his fishing trip. The weather is just perfect for sea fishing and he has actually texted me from the boat saying " We are all at sea!" They were all like a bunch of schoolboys this morning. One friend called to say he had his lunch packed ready to go, Jim of course had his lunch too, but then I couldn`t send him off all day with nothing to eat..lol! I just hope he catches lots of fish that I can cook up. There`s nothing like freshly caught Sea Bass in lemon juice and butter, topped with flaked almonds, covered in aluminium foil and baked in the oven for about 30mins....hmmm Tasty!
I went with Kerry this morning for her appointment with the midwife. She is very pleased with her progress and everything is going really well with the pregnancy. At the hospital a new Birthing Suite is nearly completed. It is for women who have had a problem-free pregnancy and is a very homely atmosphere to give birth in. They have low-lighting, candles and soft music. It sounds lovely and if Kerry`s pregnancy proceeds in the way it has been, the midwife will recommend that she goes there.
Jake is much better today after being half starved yesterday. His was desperate for food this morning and gave me a look as if to say " For goodness sake woman...give me some food!" He really did eat it quickly and he still wanted more. He kept looking up at me then back to his empty bowl and then back again at me, this went on for a a little while until I gave him a small spoonful more and it seemed to satisfy him. It`s obvious he likes white fish and potatoes, which is a relief because he has to have easily digestible food, so he`ll get the rest of what I cooked for him later today
Well that`s my entry for today. Now I have to hang out some more washing, make a coffee and then start to read your journals. For those of you that have sunshine have a lovely in the garden, for those that don`t well, have a lovely day anyway! Bye for now :-)

love your sig today! Sunny here to!
They are stunning photos Sandra. I was so sorry when they scrapped Concorde, she was beautiful. Glad Jim is having such fun on his trip. Yes, our hospital has one of those lovely birthing suites and Becky was shown around it when pregnant with Nathan. Unfortunately due to her last minute complications she never had the chance to get in there and if she has to go ahead with the C-section again this time, she will not get to visit again. So glad everything is well with Kerry. Yes, we have sunshine here as well and I have manage to get some wedding done. Glad Jake has eaten at last, horrible when you cannot fed them and they do not understand. xxxxxx
Fantastic Photos.Shame Concorde has since gone out of service. It certainly is glorious weather though a little chilly in a morning.

Excellent pics Sandra :o)
It's lovely and sunny today isn't it, doubley nice with the cool breeze.
Glad Kerry is doing well with her pregnancy, and that Jake's tum is behaving itself.
Off to eat something, because you're making my mouth water with all that Sea Bass talk! Lovely day to you too.

The Pictures were beautiful. Glad Jim got off on his much anticipated trip. Hope he catches a lot of fish.
I hope your daughter will get to use the new facilities, glad she is doing ok.
It's good that your Jake is feeling much better. I finally got the meds down my Jake this morning then he went outside & upchucked them. He does feel some better though. The shot helped him to get rid of some lung fluid and he is not hardly coughing this morning. We do love our animals don't we? Helen
Sandra, if you only knew how dear those pics are to me.. I've adored the concorde ever since I was 15. I lived in N.Y., and was in the flight path of the plane. I fell in love the first time I saw her land...how amazingly beautiful. Nothing more gorgeous in the sky. I saw her land and take off many, many times..I adored watching her fly, and memorized her flight schedule so I could always be in the proper place to see her land. I would often run to the rooftop of my building to see her, when I heard her coming. It was uncanny, how when she was off schedule, not only would I know, but I could almost sense when she was coming..there was a charge in the air that I sensed... I would hear the sound of the Concorde approaching miles away...before anyone else did. A very faint change in the air, that would start off as a hum that would grow louder and louder. Ever since I first saw the Concorde, my lifelong wish was to fly on her..I can honestly say my single biggest regret in my life is that I did not get to fulfill that dream due to lack of money. There was a contest here in the states, where people sent in essays of why they should be on the final flight out of Kennedy. Sadly, I did not know of this contest until it was too late. I am confident I would have won a seat. The plane could have gone down in flames, and I would have died a very happy woman for getting to live my lifelong dream and fly on the Concorde. Thank you so much for the pics!!!!!!!
Loved this entry! Who would not have loved to fly on Concorde! The photos are stunning ! Concorde memoribilia is so expensive,a keyring costs over £50!I will have to do with the screensaver I have.A lovely day here too.Salad for tea lol.

Great PICS of the Concorde. I was so sad when they retired it. I hope Jim catches a lot of fish for you. Good news Jake's doing better.

Great photos....I miss seeing the Concorde go over our house to land at Dulles International Airport in Chantilly, Va. We were in the flight path! My son got to see them all the time, working there.
So happy all went well for Kerry's visit with midwife. Time should go by fast.
Jake sounds really hungry now...glad he is much better.

Wow these are awesome and very professional looking photos. So pretty of a day. You are right.
Get Red Arrows over here at times. We are only about 5 miles across country from Silverstone Race circuit.
Take care
