AAAAAGGGHHH...I`M NOT HAPPY!

My poor car bonnet minus the makers badge!

Hello everyone....  I`m very cross today.   See photo above....my car has been vandalised.  Some horrible person has stolen the makers badge of of the bonnet.  To do this they have used a sharp object and have scratched the paintwork, see the white marks on the right.   This is the second time it has happened.  Last time I went to a Renault garage and bought a brand new badge but Jim says it would be cheaper this time to go to a scrapyard and get one there.  I wouldn`t mind so much but whoever did it came into the drive to do, they obviously weren`t `just passing` but came prepared.  I am not happy at all.

We were up early this morning as we were expected our patio slabs and sand to be delivered.  Jim moved my car outside to make it easier for the delivery man.  He then knocked at the house next door ( bonfire man) and asked if he wouldn`t mind moving his car so Jim could park in his space.  he agreed and while he went to get his keys Jim saw the inside of their house for the first time.  He was completely shocked.  He could see directly inside their kitchen which is the same shape as ours.  But he said the house was in a terrible state, rubbish everywhere, the kitchen cupboards had no doors on the and they had old garden equipment all over the place.  The hallway itself was full of dirty washing and old shoes.  He told me he hates to think what the rest of the house is like.  The one saving grace so far has been the arrival of the paving slabs.  No we have to cart them through the house....all seventy of them!

Also my printer that I`ve only had a few months isn`t working.  We `ve tried all the things we`re supposed to with no joy.  We did get it cheaply through the internet so it`s our fault for buying it I suppose, but it`s less than a year old so it shouldn`t have gone wrong yet.  It hasn`t been over-used....again I`m cross!

Yesterday because I had  Kerry, Slava and Danny over for dinner, Jake was in his element, he loves it when they are here and he hasn`t seen Slava for over a month and was overjoyed to see him.  Jake definetely has his favourites and Slava is one of them.  Jake got over-excited and after dinner, when they all went home, he sulked and went into the garden, and I should have known better.   I went upstairs to read the journals and left him outside.  I became engrossed and forgot all about him until I went down to make some coffee....and there he was, chewing the top of one of our solar garden lights.  Of course it was totally ruined, and he`s also decided to do a bit of pruning with one of the shrubs, AND he had found a tennis ball that had come over the fence.  The owners it wouldn`t want it back in the state I found it in!  Jake is just like a naughty child.  Whoever said that dogs don`t have the same emotions as humans hasn`t met our Jake!

That`s it for now folks.  It`s coffee time for me and I think I`ll go and play Bookworm for a while too.  Have a lovely day, Bye for now :-)

So sorry about your car Sandra, a rotten thing to do and worrying that they came onto your drive to do it. Try a bright security light that comes on when someone approached if you have not already done so.  We had neighbours like that. She would go out dressed up to the nines but when they left their kitchen door open you would not have believed it!! Honestly. When they new owners took over they spent over a week cleaning before they could move their stuff in. Some people must live like pigs. Sorry about your printer as well!  Oh well, maybe you will get it all over with today and things will improve from now on. xxxxxxxxx Oh I love the car acronyms!

Sounds as if you are very flustrated and I don't blame you. Think maybe the next door neighbor did that to have something to add to his pile of things? If it has happened twice it most likely will happen again. I hate stealing or valdalism. Better get those stones moved quickly or they may get stolen also. Hope you afternoon goes better.  Helen

It's probably kids Sandra, they used to do that to the cars years ago, didn't realise they still did it.  Can't see what they get out of it, and you have to keep replacing the badge.  No wonder you're cross.  Bookworm is definately the answer my dear, I wish you a remarkably high score ;o)
((((()))))'s to you, hope you feel less cross soon.

I have an idea, bring back some of the old punishments for local crime. Called in to one of my brothers on Saturday. Apparently, on Thursday morning at about 3.45am, brother and his wife were woken by a strange tapping noise and lay in bed for sometime wondering where it was coming from. Then they heard one of the latches on the kitchen window fly up. Brother flew to open bedroom window and leaned out, directly below him was a burglar about to climb through into the kitchen. My sister-in-law's handbag was laid on the kitchen worktop. Brother then shouted at him to p??s off! He did, but it has left them very shaken. As for car vandals, if caught,  they should be put in the village stocks and thieves could be put on the ducking stool and dipped a few times into the village pond (on a very cold winters morning)! Keep laughing.

I sometimes wish there was a legal way to make cars electrically live when parked - so anyone touching them immediately lights up! That would put a stop to virtually all car theft and vandalism overnight! What an awful thing to happen! Hope you manage to find another badge soon. Good luck with all those paving slabs!

Oh what a bummer of a day!Must be kids who took your badge?I just do not understand what pleasure someone would get from that?Lol at Jims shocked face seeing the neighbours filthy kitchen. . I will let Kim and Aggie know they are missing a treat!I know people have different standards but why live in such muck with rubbish everywhere?Cleaning stuff is so cheap ,even if you have not much money is there any excuse for living like that?LOL at Jake full of mischief,he sounds wonderful.

Hello again......I'm sorry about your car I hope that something can be done about that. The person who did it should be ashamed of themselves. Other than that I hope that things will get better for you. I hope you and your family are doing well other than what's happened. I am a bookworm as well. Take care and once again I am sorry for what happened to your car. Hug the family for me and now I will say good night.

Cos it doesn't like it when it gets a bit cold.

Minor theft really bugs me. Sorry to hear you've been a victim too.

It is so sad that people will come into your space with the prupose of stealing something from you.  I agree with Jim, the Badge for the bonnet will be cheaper at a junk yard.  Hope the back yard project goes smoothly.

Hi Sandra,
Haven't written in along time. Sorry about all the hell you are going through. It does sound like kids that took your badge. And poor Jake. My printer has been "acting up" too, it is only 10 months old. I think they make them poorly so we will purchase new ones more often. :)

Gotta run off to work~

Poor you. Lots of hugs.

With regards to your neighbour's house. There is not alot you can do unless it starts to smell. He/she obviously doesn't realise the state of the property. If the property does smell you can phone the council or even social services as there may be an underlying cause for this. You should see the state of some of the houses I have had to go into. Not nice but then sometimes its the way they choose to live. For some Social services can help clen up and support him/her to keep it presentable.
Just a thought.

Sounds like a nuiscance and such a disregard for someone who is such a nice person.  I wonder what brand of printer you have.  You should be able to have it repaired by a major name brand with it only being a year old.  Either it should not cost to much or may be repaired for free depending on what is causing the malfunction.  Perhaps it can be sent in.  HP repaired my father's printer free of charge and paid for the return shipping.  Try sending the manufacturer an email and discuss the problem.   -mark-

Oh I hate these kinds of days when things happen like the vandalism theft of your emblem and when things quit working.  So aggrivating.
