One of my healthiest orchids growing a new flowering spike REALLY makes me happy. I can`t wait to see the new flowers.
Roman admiring the photo Jim took last year when we visited Wellington Park. He looks at it everyday and says, " Nana and Roman!". It always makes me smile.
This beautiful `Blue Ice` pansy, a truly gorgeous variety.
Summer geraniums, freshly dug and repotted. They are about to be taken inside for the winter. Hoping they survive makes me want to be happy...lol!
A cyclamen, my second favourite houseplant. I just love them.
A bowl of deep orange pansies, they look so cheerful and will be even better once they grow some more.
The hanging basket by the front door, full of orange violas. That made me very happy until I bumped my head on it.......I did forgive it however and I`m starting to feel happy again despite a slightly sore head....ouch!
Of course, my darling Roman makes me the happiest of all. When I took this photo he kep saying, "Take more Nana, take more!" He certainly isn`t camera shy, bless him!

Looks like you have green fingers, Sandra. The moth orchid here has 16 flowers...
Those pictures have realy cheered me up Sandra thankyou. We had just decided this afternoon,it is going to be my garden centre weekend.I have had that much to do since coming home.Rodg said it would cheer me to go get some plants for the tubs and baskets. He emptied the old ones last weekend for me.So I might be showing some soon LOL.Grandchildren are priceless and I am hoping if I feel up to it, to go see mine next week/end. I love the cyclamens too, but I do not seem to be able to keep them, theres not many I do not have much luck with but these just die on me Grrrrrrrrr.By the way you have pinched my plantpot holder on that one.The one with the Cyclamen in.I bought three the same for my houseplants a few months ago. LOL.Great minds think alike Haaaaa.I love the very deep blue pansies as they seem to glow at night,if you have a garden lamp on.Thankyou for the colour this eveing lovely.Take care God Bless Kath astoriasand http://journals.aol.co.uk/astoriasand/MYSIMPLERHYMES
I love cyclamen, too, and strangely, the only place I've had success with them is in England! I had one the entire time we lived there. Tried here several times and they just die on me. The flower pics are lovely, thanks for sharing!

I don't have any luck with indoor plants. That little guy sure is a cutie!

I had to laugh at Roman saying "take more nana." When we were at Bob's daughter's place on Thursday, Lance kept wanting me to take his picture and then he'd "I'll see it now." So he'd come and look and then he'd pose for another one. Oh...they are so precious. Beautiful flowers. I would dig up my geraniums but I don't really have a place to put them. Unless I put them in my shed and remembered to go water them from time to time. Linda in Washington state
Hi Sandra, I was going to write to you about my orchid! You may remember me telling you that the flowers had died on it, the leaves were OK though.
This week I noticed a growth and it didn't look like another root, and I can now see by your photo that I too have a new flower shoot - I am so pleased! When it is in flower I shall post a photo of it! Love the pictures of Roman too, he's looking quite the big boy now! Love, Pat http://journals.aol.co.uk/pm71blackfen/ramblings-from-pat/
Roman is so cute, they really are fun to be around when they're that age. You're so lucky he lives close. Your flowers are beautiful, indoors and out, I never try indoor plants anymore. Except my husband received a pray plant when his mother died and now he takes care of it. It bloomed for a long time and is now resting I guess, it really likes it where it is and he feeds it tea. Take care, Joni
It is the simple things in life that make us all happy. Beautiful entry...Roman is so adorable...loved the photo of him looking at the picture!!!

This was a fun entry to read. Your flowers look gorgeous. And Roman is such a dollbaby. When he's older you should give him a copy of that picture and tell him how much he liked it.

Hello There,
Oh I am so jealous of you and how you can grow orchids. My hubby bought me a beautiful phalaenopsis hybrids by the name of "Vincent van Gogh". Oh my gosh it was so stunning it made me cry. The first orchid I ever owned. And guess what happened? I killed it!! I only had it for 2 days and woke up one morning and it was absolutley covered everywhere with spider mites. Totally infested with them! I was so mad. I know that plant cost my hubby at leas $150 bucks, with the beautiful vase it came in. The offered to replace it but I was just so heartbroken that I said just give me a refund.
Anyway, on to things that I can grow...LOL Those pansy's are breathtaking. I have never seen such a pretty pansy before. Can you tell that I am a pansy freak? Now I wonder if I can find them here in Las Vegas? Or grow by seed? I just love the colors. Thank you so much for sharing your pretty flowers and plants with us :)
Huggers,
Gayla
